“We haven't been here in twenty plus years. One of our friends suggested it and we came for dinner. We have been back a couple of times now.
First the restaurant is old, in the basement, but clean. There is no liquor license. Putting that aside the food is fantastic! We have had several dishes. Pad Thai and cashew chicken. The mango salad is great.
Parking can be tricky. But there are plenty spot around town.“

“I had a great experience at Thai Express in Windsor. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, and it was perfectly balanced, sweet, tangy, and spicy just the way I like it. The portion size was generous for the price.
The staff were friendly and quick, and my order was ready in no time. The place was clean and well-maintained.
Highly recommend if you're craving Thai food.🤞“

“The best! I get this restaurant so often as I truly love it so much, the make your own stir fry is normally what I go for but I’ve tried so many items - the lettuce wraps, the soups, the chicken wings, the summer rolls to name a few. Highly recommend!“

“Marukin Restaurant is, without a doubt, my go-to spot in the city. This Japanese and Thai restaurant has quickly become my favorite, and for good reason. The owner does all the cooking, which ensures a consistently high level of quality and freshness in every dish. You can really taste the difference—each plate feels carefully crafted, and the ingredients are always vibrant and flavorful. The prices are also very reasonable, making it easy to indulge in excellent Japanese and Thai cuisine without breaking the bank.
Living close by, it’s tough to resist stopping in frequently, and I find myself returning more often than I can count. Over the years, I've brought countless friends here, and they all end up loving it just as much as I do. Marukin has a certain hidden gem quality, making it feel like a special discovery in Windsor. The owner is genuinely kind and clearly passionate about his work, which adds a personal touch that makes each visit memorable.
I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu—from the fresh sushi and sashimi to the flavorful Thai curries—and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The seafood is fresh, the spices in the curries are perfectly balanced, and the portions are just right. You simply can’t go wrong at Marukin. If you're in Windsor and craving Japanese or Thai, do yourself a favor and visit this wonderful spot.“

“love it for what it is! Always consistent, and I’m a big fan of their simple rolls and sashimi. Service is quick, and it’s one of my go-to spots when I’m really hungry. The price matches the all-you-can-eat experience, so it totally makes sense.
Bathrooms could be a little cleaner, always smells weird in there“

“I normally order for pick up, never eaten in. However, the staff are always very friendly and my order is always correct! Not to mention, the food is amazing and authentic! Best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand!!!
Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten-free and never had any issues with the rice dishes.“
“I ordered the chicken and shrimp dumplings which were kind of small but pretty good. Also the drunken noodles which were bomb. My boyfriend ordered the chive pancakes, super tasty. Also the curry rice with tofu. It was so so good. Totally will be coming back!“

“Absolutely delicious and great atmosphere. Literally no complaints. The service and food were equally great (flavorful and hot)!
Vegetarian options: Great variety of vegetarian options, but I would double check and ask if they use seafood based condiments in their sauces.“

“First time visit to Detroit Shipping Co. and wanted to try a bit of everything. Bangkok 96 Street Food was definitely a highlight! My boyfriend got a Tikka Masala from the spot next door but he loved my grilled chicken so much we got a candied beef and some crab ragon to go. Genevieve, the owner, was the absolute sweetest. We really felt like family and can taste the love put into the food. We cant wait to return and try everything else! * BEST CRAB RAGON I'VE HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE *“
