“Came here tonight for dinner, and I have to say, this has got to be one of my favourite Italian places I have been too EVER!

I was in Woodbridge visiting my grandfather in long term care with my grandmother, and were hungry for a bite to eat. Was perusing Google Maps and saw this place with good reviews, was craving some good Italian food and decided to check it out. Upon pulling in to the location, I have to say my grandmother and I were a bit skeptical. A restaurant in a strip mall, how good can it be? Boy, when I say don’t judge a book by its cover, DONT!

Upon walking in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a hello. We were promptly seated and handed the menus. Spent some time looking, and everything sounded so good! Prices seemed pretty on-par with other Italian restaurants I have dined at in the past. The dining room, about 1/3 full when we arrived, was quant and warm. Packed with conversation from other patrons, however quiet enough to have a conversation at my table.

Now, for the food and beverage. We ordered the garlic knots (I forget the name on the menu!) for an appetizer. These are one of my favourite bread appetizers to get at any restaurant. Then came out nice and hot, we got about 8-10 in the order. They were so light and pillowy, not overdone, but still crispy on the outside. They were drizzled in a nice amount of garlic butter (not vampire-deterrent levels) and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Served with a side of homemade tomato sauce. They were awesome!

For our mains, I ordered the veal parm, and my grandmother had the Alfredo pasta with chicken. I’ll start with the pasta, my grandmother thoroughly enjoyed it. She is very picky when it comes to her pasta, and orders it with extra sauce and no cheese. The staff happily accommodated her requests, and it came out just as she ordered. Pasta was super creamy thanks to the extra sauce, with a very generous portion of chicken. The chicken was nice and tender, and the flavour of the pasta overall was very good, of course I had to sample some myself! Portion was also very generous, having enough to take home for lunch tomorrow.

Now, drum roll… for the veal parm. My absolute favourite Italian dish, next to pizza of course! I came here craving chicken parm, but when I saw they had veal, I couldn’t pass that up… what a great decision. The veal was super tender. The coating was nice and crispy, and the veal was not overly battered, a nice mix of breading and meat. The sauce, the same as that came with the garlic knots, was amazing. Sprinkled with a generous amount of cheese (with extra parm on the side as well) and the pasta was great as well, not overcooked and covered in more tomato sauce.

Although we were both almost full, how could we pass up on dessert??? We ordered the tiramisu, with two teas (they do not have coffee, only espresso!) it was SO good, and whole heartedly one of, if not the BEST I have ever had!

The service was exceptional. I did not get the name of either of the two ladies who waited on us (one was in a chefs jacket, possibly the head chef?) but they were both awesome! Came by and checked on us multiple times, made sure our waters were topped off, and asking how we were enjoying our meals. Thanked us for coming and told us to have a great night as we were leaving.

Total for the meal was just over $100, which, for a pop, two teas, an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert, seemed very reasonable, especially for a little family owned restaurant like this. With a tip it was $120. I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone, and will definitely be back in the VERY near future. That’s Italian ristorante, thanks for an awesome meal, and great hospitality!”

“The best seafood pasta in the city!! Most close to what we’ve eaten in Italy . Seafood pasta had lobster scallop shrimp , squid and mussels. Beats anything else in Vaughan and Downtown Toronto . In particular I love their personal sized pizzas and a tubular pastry that has feta and spinach Burek I think, I forget the name but absolutely the most crispy flaky and delicious breakfast I can have. Seems (pronounce Shems) is the gentlman usually behind the counter who is just the kindest man. They also have raw honey which my kids loved and I just tried the cherry drink. Good stuff especially for my gout. I am a customer for life~”

If you're on the hunt for the best shawarma in the Vaughan area, your search ends at Shawarma Jwan. I recently visited and was absolutely blown away by the quality, flavor, and sheer size of their meals.

We ordered the mixed shawarma plates, and as you can see, they do not hold back! The plates came loaded with a generous bed of fluffy, aromatic yellow rice, topped with a mountain of succulent, perfectly spiced chicken and beef shawarma. The meat was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of authentic flavor—exactly what you crave in a top-tier shawarma.

The sauces were the cherry on top. They were liberally drizzled with a rich, creamy garlic sauce and a vibrant, tangy hot sauce that added the perfect kick. It created a mouth-watering symphony of flavors in every bite.
