“I visited this location and actually played the first time here, a machine. I was on a roll and won, but I fed my $ back in.
The lady who was there was extremely welcoming and very nice. No sketchy individuals, no smoking which was great. I was offered some soda, but declined. It was fun and I might be back again soon before summer hits and my kids are out of school.
I had fun and wasn’t there to win. I definitely will be back again during the day sometime!“

“Monday 12/8 my daughter took me to Lombard House to watch a Monday night Eagles/Chargers football game. My daughter lives in Portland and I was visiting from Royersford, Pa We had such a great time and everyone was kind and friendly. Such an intimate place to go. Thank you for your hospitality. It’s close to home, they have indoor and outdoor seating, the people there are really nice (especially Amy, who always tries to have a stout or 2 on tap), and my dog feels so relaxed here (sitting outside of course). It’s just a cozy local hangout, and they have cool events all the time. A lot of my favorite bars and restaurants have closed since the start of Covid, so I really hope people help support this place so they’re able to stick around a long time.“

“Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. There is a menu choice for a flight of 3 sangrias, you get to choose. The background music choice had me singing to most songs. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The presentation of the food was beautiful. The taste of the food and drinks did not disappoint.“

“I went here for a Harry Potter event for my friend’s birthday. The organizer went above and beyond to make sure we had an immersive experience. Decorations, food, staff, and drinks (Butter Beer) made it a one of a kind memory that we will always treasure.“

“Service was fast, server was very friendly, my husband and I both had a Moscow Mule which was tasty, and a hummus plate which was just your typical hummus plate. Dog friendly, so it was nice to be able to be in the lounge area by the fireplace with our doggos and relax with a drink. It has a business/laid back vibe to it, but low key, which might be just perfect for business travelers. My husband and I live in the area, so we wanted to go check this place out. Amberglen Park right across the street which is a perfect place to go for a walk, or even with your dogs ❤️ We would go back again.“

“this place USED to be great, when the owners cared about their staff and customers. they now no longer care. I realized this after being electrocuted due to the owners not wanting to hire electricians and plumbers to do the work needed. the company stopped really truly caring about their staff when they moved to this location. all staff is expected to be on call every day for any shift, while being paid the minimum wage and no wage for staying on call. it also was a realization that they didn't care when I was expected to pump breastmilk for my newborn in an area that was not private and was in view of customers when I did need to pump. no employee is relieved of duty for a break and often times expected to work 10+ hours, and not always knowing I'd relief would show up. yes they used to be a good place, they no longer are. oh and the tacos are not made to health standards....while they are safe we were told to use a slow cooker and not tell health authorities how we cooked the meat.“

“Wow! What a hidden gem this place is! As a local, I had no idea this spot was here until a recent Google search. I'm so glad I went in. Got there at opening and was hosted by Aden at the bar. I'm a newbie to sake, so I was completely under his guidance. He did a great job of explaining the character of different sakes and shared with me more about the making of sake than ever before. He even pulled out a map of Japan to show me where different sakes come from. So cool.

I enjoyed a 3-sake flight with some edamame first, and then moved on to some tempura udon with which I paired my favorite sake from the flight -- Masumi Karakuchi Kiippon Junmai Ginjo. The food was so yummy and the sake was excellent.

Shout-out to Aden for being such an enthusiastic host and educating me on sake! Nice job, Aden! I can't wait to return with my partner and try more sake and more tasty food!“

“We went to Hillside Pub last Sunday night and once again, they did not disappoint. Gail was our server and honestly she's the best! On top of everything all night, drinks were perfect, food came out fast and tasted great. Never had to chase anyone down for anything.

We had Gail on Easter too and she was just as impressive. It's just that kind of place, relaxed vibe, good food, good drinks, and staff that actually cares.

Solid 5 stars. We'll be back for sure!“

“Old old st johns boozer. Youd think half of the patrons might even die on the spot. Very sketchy at times..and very friendly at times. It makes you think..i dont want the califonia transplants and hipsters taking it over..and i also dont want to be in a knife fight with some long time drug dealer. Like Dungeouns and Dragons..its a role of the dice. No females after dark unless youre armed..thats all of st John's and portland so not the bars fault. Support, but dont go in thinking some violence could happen walking back out.“
