“I really wanted to love this place. Especially with all the great reviews from over the previous years. But...

We went there for my birthday dinner (myself and my parents), at 5:00pm on a Friday, because my folks are both seniors. There were only two other tables seated, but it was SO loud. The waitress tried to seat us right by the door, immediately across from the counter. But we politely asked for a table against the back wall, so we could hear each other (my mom uses hearing aids). And then the attitude started. Like we asked her to build us a table.

Once agreeing to our request to simply walk 15 feet, she gave us about 90 seconds to look at the menu, but was offended by my mother's request for more time, but couldn't be bothered with a drink order. Then, after repeated attempts to flag her down and being ignored, she finally came back. No explanation of which item came with rice or not, or ??? Never a single smile or anything like a welcoming gesture. Ever.

Finally, after ordering and receiving our food. I have to admit - I expected so much more. I could excuse the sourpuss (even downright rude) waitress, if the food was glorious. But, the pad thai noodles were sort of all glued together in a clump. My peanut sauce had a separated oil in it. However, my mom's cashew nut stir fry was the star of the show. My dad ended up eating half of that.

Overall, I was hoping to give the rave that so many others were posting, here. But, I'm giving them a generous 4 stars, based on my perfectly fried chicken and my mother's great dish. DEFINITELY NOT THE WAITRESS.

But what makes it truly unforgettable is how they top it off Chicago-style thick, hearty, and full of flavor. It’s like someone took the best of both coasts and decided to marry them into one glorious pie. The crust has that perfect crisp on the outside with a doughy, chewy bite inside. Every topping tasted fresh and thoughtfully balanced, from the melty mozzarella to the spicy pepperoni and the vibrant tomato sauce.

But what truly elevated this visit was the top-tier service, and a huge shoutout goes to Shane, who made the entire experience even better. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, Shane made me feel like a regular on my very first visit. He answered questions, made great recommendations, and brought an energy that’s honestly rare to find in a small-town pub.

The atmosphere here is laid-back and fun, with a great drink selection and enough TVs to catch whatever game’s on without it being overwhelming. It’s the kind of place you can come to for a quick bite, a night out with friends, or even a solo escape when you just want comfort food done right.

If you’re in Eagle Point and haven’t tried Schmizza yet, what are you doing? The pizza is unreal, the vibe is perfect, and the service, especially from Shane, is the cherry on top. I’ve found my go-to spot, and I couldn’t be happier about it.“

“My daughter and husband went there today for her 40th birthday breakfast, and she LOVED the owner, and they both said everything was great :) I highly recommend them. Friendly service and good food.“

“We decided to give this place a try on our way through the area despite some pretty harsh reviews. First, the staff were incredible. Very attentive and friendly. The food was good and the menu had a lot of great options. What pleasantly surprised me was that it was not even remotely greasy. There were generous amounts of vegetables in my pesto omlette and the flavor was great. At no point was I criticized for my condiment use. My one small critique is that the food was not very warm when it came out. But it was still delicious.“

“I came here last week, we ordered some spicy tuna sushi (I can’t remember exact names) and a ramen bow for our little one! The ramen bowl was huge for her! She definitely had extra saved over that we brought home. The sushi was delicious and filling and not too pricey for the 3 of us, I think 68 total we spent plus sodas. I will definitely come back to try other sushi rolls they have! The only complaint I really had is it’s extremely quiet inside maybe a tv or music in the background would be nice!“

“I hope Wes the owner sees this. There was the sweetest girl working the drive through in White City tonight right before closing. I didn't catch her name. She had long hair dark hair in a pony tail. I had forgotten my purse after a stressful day. I didn't realize until I got to the wjndow. This amazing young lady told me not to worry about it and that she would cover it. These kinds of people are so rare and are so important to the world. I want her to know how amazing she is. She for that alone also deserves a raise for her amazing kindness and customer service. ❤️👏🏻 Keep being a light in this world 🌎 🌟 And as always, the food is always delicious.“

“The people there were happy to be there and there was a lot of them. Seem to be a mutual respect between all age differences and cultural differences. The whole room saying karaoke songs together. Which was a great energy and a beautiful thing to watch. Seems real family like around there. For being my first time popping in, I definitely will probably do it again 🙏🏻“
