“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. “We found them on Google, walked in and gave them a try. They were so good! The pumpkin waffle was out of this world, and my husband loved the breakfast burrito. 10/10 recommend, will come back next visit to Portland. The atmosphere was so cozy, the art on the walls so much fun. Just a good place to eat overall.“

“I love this place. Solid burger, always tastes good, and the customer service is really good. I accidentally ordered at the wrong location as I was on a busy day and did not double check which restaurant I was ordering at. Their response was to take care of my meal at this location, so I only had to pay once. It was completely my fault and they still made it right. The staff even said that they were new and still handled the situation very well. Highly suggest this place, and the retro burger shop vibe doesn't hurt as well!“

“I had an amazing experience at Applebee’s at Gateway! Shuranna Knepper was absolutely wonderful friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. I ordered the wonton tacos, a quesadilla, and a drink, and everything was delicious!

Now that it’s Annie’s it has the best cheeseburgers in Portland Hands down: I’m so spoiled by this burger joint that I can’t eat any other burger anymore. Their Fries r perfect. Atmosphere is a bit...odd. the video poker games in the corners makes it a bit strange and the clientele is fun, as a people watcher.

This would be a place definitely Guy Fieri would have on his Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives because of he great food and hitting two of the three Ds.

If you need a perfect atmosphere, this is not your place. If you like solid drive in food for a great value. This is an awesome stop.“

“Not what I expected. It’s better than I thought. I do have a couple of thoughts for the “Bender”. \n\n1-don’t put on so much sweet bbq sauce. As a matter of fact, make a spicy sauce, it needs it.\n\n2-make the crispy jalapeños actually taste like jalapeños.\n\nThe problem is that the burger is too sweet. “I really loved the wings and still do but after awhile the staff started being weird and the wings be really dry like they could be old or just fried too much… some the meat is so burnt there is no meat to really eat on the wing… this is new so I hope it doesn’t keep happening. Second the fries here tasted like delicious homemade fresh cut fries. Mocha perks from Burgerville are the best! I usually buy a jar of Burgerville spread once a month if not more often because it is that good.
The inside was clean and the service was phenomenal, especially during a rush. One worker made our day by taking back something and fixing it or customizing it, while being polite, multi tasking, and helping others during a busy time, all while being speedy. I was pleasantly surprised and it made my visit very enjoyable.“
