“Awesome food! I was debating a burger or the horseradish steak sandwich. And the chef recommended the sandwich. What a delightful treat. The bread is well buttered and grilled to a crunchy outside. “This place is absolutely unbelievable. I grew up in the central valley in California. We had great mexican food. This place blows it all out of the water. I legitimately get excited about coming here every time I go for lunch. And I leave so happy. Its hard to describe how great the food here is. I love the tacos - - the carne asda and al pastor are unreal. I don't know what I would do without Taqueria la Marquesa. It's that good. And the people are super nice too. “This place lived up to its name and definitely HIT THE SPOT! Paid this location a visit on Friday evening and just beat the evening rush. Super friendly staff as we were greeted when we walked in. This was my first time here to I ordered a few things. For my wife and I the double burger was a must and we had to try the fries and onion rings.The burger was amazing. One of the top three burgers I have had in Portland. The onion rings were out of this world! The batter they use for there onion rings is so good tasty. Loved the fries as well.Let’s not forgot about their chicken tenders. Ordered some for my son and he loved them. Of course I had collect the parent tax and try some and it was delicious. Great batter and the chicken was very tender.Before we left we had to finish off this great meal with a strawberry shake. Overall great experience and we will be back very soon.“

The berry waffles were delightful. If you are lucky and their soup of the day is tomato basil, make room in your belly because that's also a must. “Randomly chose this place but it was highly rated. I tend to keep my expectations low because you can’t always believe the hype. It was everyone’s first time here and we all loved everything we ordered. The fillet mignon was perfectly cooked and so tender. My husband got the bread pudding, something I’ve never liked but this was beyond any I’ve tried. It wasn’t just mush and he even said it was the best bread pudding he’s ever had. The asparagus was perfectly cooked, the calamari was lightly breaded and also cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly but not hovering. Great place for a special occasion. Will definitely come back during nicer weather to enjoy their patio seating.“

The Maverick - a vegan western bacon cheeseburger, is my go to sandwich. All of their fries are amazing - especially the "special" fries which are topped with onions, cheez, and a thousand island - ish sauce. They also have Oogave soda (try the watermelon! in fact, try an oogave watermelon float with coconut ice cream). I make it a point to go here whenever I'm in the area. Again, though, be prepared to be full for quite some time after.“

A Killer Burger gift card was suggested as the perfect present, as she is a huge fan. I called the West Linn franchise and spoke to a manager (I wish I remembered his name) who was over-the-top helpful. "Sure. I can mail a gift card to you. But, I would be happy to deliver it to her house for you." (I opted for USPS.) As soon as we concluded the credit card transaction, he told me he would walk right over to the post office (I suspect he went to a drop box, as the closest PO is Tigard). The gift card arrived within a week - that's pretty fast by Hawaiian standards. To say my daughter's family are exclusivores is an understatement. (While she is an omnivore, she IS persnicketous about her ball caps.) I mention this because I am certain that if all of them can agree on Killer Burger it has to have damned good food. “I was pleasantly surprised with my Peanut Sauce Burger. I had been wanting to try this for awhile...I like my burgers well done. I accept that this usually means a small, dry patty. This was not the case. I received a large, juicy, well-done-not-overdone burger. Loved the addition of the peanut sauce and the other veggies on the burger. They must have upgraded the bun because it looked different than the one in the previous post/photos. No complaints about the bun. It came with fries that had a tangy / sweet / slightly spicy sauce all over them. I wasn't planning on eating fries but ended up eating half of them because they were so good. Great value. “We like to go here for the seafood night on Thursday. The crab dip is great and there is plenty to share. The food portions are big and I always take home food. Fried oysters and lobster tail are our go to right now. It's a small bar with lots of video poker and some dining tables. Staff has always been attentive and willing to take drink requests.“
