We sat in the Hideaway an outdoor enclosure that was extremely welcoming. The wines that we tasted were excellent. I ended up joining one of their wines groups. Even though I live in Troutdale I can see myself enjoying the events there especially in the summer“

Our wine flight was superb (I am very impressed by the Pinot Noir here) and made even more amazing by Osmand's expansive knowledge and hospitality! He was super informative and personable. I really felt like I got a 10/10 experience at Domaine Roy & fils and cannot recommend it more. This is a must on your winery tours.“

“What a stunning location! Although we experienced a delay with our food due to a WiFi glitch that prevented orders from reaching the kitchen, the staff handled it with impressive care and urgency. Best of all, when the food arrived, it was absolutely incredible. Everyone in our group was raving about their dishes. “I did a tasting with friends and we had a wonderful time. We arrived mid afternoon on a Saturday and it was not that busy despite the beautiful July day. Great wine, great views, great atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and we felt like they were truly happy to chat with us.“

The only thing that wasn’t so great was that they’re closing at 5 these days, and the service runs a little gruff, be ready to order when you step to the counter! “We had had the opportunity to enjoy a bottle of Willakenzie that we found in Omaha, Nebraska. We thoroughly enjoyed it, so we decided to go to the Vineyard. The wines that are available from the vineyard are even more exceptional than the one that is distributed in Omaha. (Probably not a surprise 😆) We absolutely loved our experience! The tasting room is very beautiful, but we understand they are going to renovate it and add more food service. So we’ll have to come back and check that out! We were excited to buy wines and ship them home.“

It is a beautiful space and recently enjoyed the covered patio with 2 other moms with our young babies in their strollers and felt very comfortable and relaxed. I really enjoyed the Stoller 2022 Pinot Noir and my friend had the Chehalem Valley Chardonnay. They have a refreshing cocktail menu and I liked the Lavender Lemon Drop. The pork belly BLT was delicious!!! My favorite sandwich right now. They have a veggie sandwich as well that is loaded. Everyone in the group loved the cookies. “Wine was very good. I think what set them apart was their Rose, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were all worth purchasing, and we did. Seems rare for a winery to excel across multiple categories.

My only complaint is the tasting fee is expensive given you need to purchase $70 or $75 worth of product to waive just one tasting. For $35 you’re better off ordering 3-4 glasses at table for your party. The tasting pours are tiny…an ounce or less. Truly, just a taste. Go to catch the view and enjoy a glass of wine…they’re all delicious and worth the price. Don’t waste money on the tasting.“

The spring rolls were the highlight — crisp on the outside with a savory mix of cabbage and glass noodles inside. Absolutely delicious.

The chicken Pad Thai was a pleasant surprise. Unlike many places where it turns out overly sweet or dry, this one had a well-balanced, flavorful sauce with just the right amount of spice — no dryness, no sugar overload.

The pineapple fried rice was refreshing and well-cooked, though I did miss the crunch of cashews.

The teriyaki chicken was spot-on — tender, juicy, and glazed perfectly.

⌛ Service & Ambience:
The service can take a little time, especially during peak hours — but with the sheer volume of orders and the top-notch food they’re cranking out, it’s a fair trade. This is a no-nonsense spot, so ambiance isn’t a priority, but the place is clean and pleasant to eat in.

“We took a day trip to visit the winery during a girls trip to Portland and it was one of the highlights of our whole trip! We were 5 ladies in our 40s and we had the pleasure of Sara being our guide for the tasting and she did not disappoint! We sat on the patio and the views and weather were both divine! Sara served us yummy wine and explained all the terminology and history and absolutely made our time there so fun! We cannot recommend this place enough! “I was a club member years ago when Dave and Mary opened this vineyard. I went back yesterday under the new ownership, Cooper Mountain, and it is still lovely with great tasting wines. I don’t like tannic reds or oaky Charonneys where as my boyfriend does. We both found wines we both enjoyed and some we each liked more than each other. Arborbrook continues with a very wide range of flavors!! They also are all organic and biodynamic, I highly recommend !“

Finally today 8 Jan 2025 I made contact with Trevor. Ownership has recently changed hands. He is backlogged but getting the orders slowly out!!! The wines were incredible, the view was absolutely amazing, and Mary Lou, who guided our tasting, was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We booked a tasting ahead of time, which is recommended. We went midweek, so we were actually the only people there for almost the entire tasting. A group came in as we were tasting our final wine and deciding on what to purchase. Reservations are recommended, but if they have room they’ll take you as a walk in! My parents were married here 31 years ago, so to be able to visit with my husband and experience it was incredible. I highly recommend visiting, buying some wine, and enjoying your time at Anne Amie! They will ship wine to you (depending upon the state you live in) and you can also ship it yourself from the Newberg Mail Room! You can buy their wines online, too. Amazing experience!“
