“Alexana is absolutely stunning. Their property and tasting room are unique in a classy and beautiful way that stands out in a valley filled with wineries. Our host, Ean, was truly a delight. Ean shared with us the stories about the people and impressive team behind their wines and the family that built the brand. We got to learn about the 18 different soils on the property and how each one has an affect on the vines and grapes that grow from them. Ean had our tasting menu customized with our party's name and provided bottles of our preferred water so we could hydrate. Alexana came highly recommended by several others in the wine industry and it's easy to see why. Our tasting was absolutely perfect. Sitting next to the fire in the cover porch on a rainy day was lovely for both warmth and ambiance.

The wines were excellent, smooth yet bold pinots, refreshing rosé and a chardonnay that was crisp, clean and light. Ean made this entire experience one that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly excellent tasting as well as an intriguing tutorial on soils. Alexana has other properties in Napa and Argentina! Tasting the wines from Argentina was such a nice surprise, the Grenache and GSM left me speechless - and of course we had to buy a few bottles. We will undoubtedly be returning for more.

“My wife an I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary with Rosmarino after a chance encounter with a lovely couple in Burlington on the streets of Tanasborne in Hillsboro.

They recommended Rosmarino to us for our anniversary and said their Lasagna was the best this side of the Atlantic. Their authentic Italian culinary artistry came highly praised by the couple and we decided to take a trip to Newberg to see if it really was that good.

My wife lived in Aviano, Italy for a time and grew up in Europe so she had a solid baseline. I've been a pasta goblin my whole life, never meeting a lasagna I couldn't devour. So the gauntlet was tossed and we accepted the challenge.

The Bread was to die for, the lasagna melted in my mouth with an explosion of flavor and texture. It actually is the best lasagna I've had in the USA. So that proved positive. My wife ordered the Pomodoro & Basilico and was equally amazed by it.

The do have homemade Gluten Free pasta as well and all pasta and sauces are hand crafted daily using Italian sourced ingredients.

I can most certainly recommend Rosmarino Osteria Italiana and look forward to my next visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal.“

What a gorgeous vineyard, where you can sit outside, with bottles of wine with your own picnic basket watching the gorgeous sunset!
I could not take my eyes off the stunning view. Sunset was just stunning. They have a great selection of wines. We opted for bottle services, Pinot Rośe being one of the selections and it paired very well with the stunning view. We bought few bottles to bring home.
You can see some wild life while watching the sunset and they are harmless. Staff here are awesome and extremely friendly. So glad we found this vineyard and it was worth the 45min drive from Portland.“

“Rex Hill absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. We were the only party in the tasting room for quite a bit of time and the hospitality that we received from Jonathan was impeccable. We absolutely loved chatting with him and he made our entire trip just a bit better. The wine was also incredible and we brought home two bottles.“

“This is a charming little Winery with an absolutely stunning view!! The wines were fantastic. They had a relaxing seating area with a delightful musician playing at the time. It was cozy, uncomfortable, and a great place to catch up with my girlfriends.“

“Wine was very good. I think what set them apart was their Rose, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were all worth purchasing, and we did. Seems rare for a winery to excel across multiple categories.

My only complaint is the tasting fee is expensive given you need to purchase $70 or $75 worth of product to waive just one tasting. For $35 you’re better off ordering 3-4 glasses at table for your party. The tasting pours are tiny…an ounce or less. Truly, just a taste. Go to catch the view and enjoy a glass of wine…they’re all delicious and worth the price. Don’t waste money on the tasting.“

“I have gone a couple times now. My friend and I attended Bingo night and it was so fun! It is a beautiful space and recently enjoyed the covered patio with 2 other moms with our young babies in their strollers and felt very comfortable and relaxed. I really enjoyed the Stoller 2022 Pinot Noir and my friend had the Chehalem Valley Chardonnay. They have a refreshing cocktail menu and I liked the Lavender Lemon Drop. The pork belly BLT was delicious!!! My favorite sandwich right now. They have a veggie sandwich as well that is loaded. Everyone in the group loved the cookies. I highly recommend this spot and looking forward to checking out some of their other event nights.“

“Don't let the aged facade fool you. The food is amazing and the owner practically runs the place single handed. If you're in a rush, order to go and pick up. Sitting in might take a bit longer, but it's a great place to chew the fat and some amazing food. Prices are reasonable and portions are large.

Our triple threat favorite is vegetable fried rice, chicken chow mein and sesame chicken. Have heard rave reviews on the sub gum chow mein as well.“

“My go to sushi in Newberg! Online orders are quick and anytime I dine in service is great. I like the sushi lunch special (pick 2 or 3 rolls from their list) or the Bento when I have a big appetite. Staff are very kind. Menu has a lot of variety.“

“One of the few restaurants in the Sherwood / Newberg / Dundee area. Restaurant is unassuming bit offers plenty of comfortable seating and attentive service. Food is usually good to very good but can be inconsistent depending on the available cook. One of the few restaurants that sorted it's menu by cooking style (sesame, kung Pao, mu shu, etc) instead of main ingredient (beef, chicken, pork, etc) which simplifies ordering . It's not the very best Chinese restaurant in the greater Portland area, but it is among the best in this area“
