“I remember going to their original location down on Main St. right next to/connecting to the Half Moon. I moved here in 2008 and have known them for 14 years now. From the very first time, they all treated me with respect and kindness, very genuine and humble... GREAT PEOPLE!! It used to be you could dine in at both places. “We spent a week with another couple in Willamette Valley tasting wines at 20 different wineries, and Penner-Ash was definitely one of our top three favorite tastings!
The weather was perfect for us to enjoy tasting wine on the deck in the sunshine and with beautiful views of the winery and surrounding mountains. Our host Joseph was very knowledgeable about each wine presented, and answered all of our questions with ease. To top off the experience, we purchased an additional bottle of wine to enjoy with our picnic lunch in the grove at the winery. We enjoyed so many of the wines that we decided to have some shipped home, which arrived a few days after we returned, in perfect condition. If you are planning a trip to Willamette Valley wine tasting, this is a place that represents superb Oregon wines (12 single vineyards Pinot's, as well as great Sauvignon Blanc and Rose) and should be on everyone's list!“

“Had a great experience this past Tuesday while out in the valley for a Wine & Spirits conference. As retailers who already carry a broad array of Lemelson wine, we already new the quality level of what was in the bottle, but the depth of knowledge the duo of Josie & Devin provided, it really created a total experience. There’s nothing that beats tasting Stermer Vineyard Pinot Noir while standing in Stermer Vineyard.

Highly recommend for anyone staying around Newberg or in the Yamhill Carlton or Dundee area.“

“We loved our experience at WillaKenzie. Our wine tasting host, Diane did an excellent job giving us just enough history and background of the winery and winemaker to make it interesting. The Pinots were delicious, plus we tasted a wonderful Chardonnay as well. The property is lovely and recently updated to make it look very exclusive but approachable as are their wines. This winery is a little farther north but absolutely worth the trip!“

“Lange Estate Winery & Vineyards is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon! The wine, beautiful views, and delicious small plates all made for a great visit. “We had a late lunch around 2pm here on a Saturday after fishing near Hagg lake. We had a party of 9 and had a party room available that could fit us all together at one table. We appreciated being able to be seated together. They do charge a tip/service charge of 18% to use the room. We tried the chicken teriyaki don, katsu don, beef don, and salmon teriyaki don,oyakodon, as well as a salmon avocado roll. Everything was presented nicely and tasty. The dons included a small dish of soy based green beans. The one drawback was the kitchen was a little on the slow side, perhaps due to the time (2pm) we were being served.“

“We are on a girls trip to Willamette Valley and came across this beautiful vineyard on our way home from day trip at the coast. Although it was close to closing time, we decided to at least drive up to check out the gorgeous view. We were met by Kevin who graciously offered a short tour and told us the history of the vineyard and winery. We had time for a quick glass which was generously comped. The Pinot Noir and Rose were delicious. Thankful we found this hidden gem and for their amazing hospitality!!“

“Would highly recommend visiting this tasting room. We last visited in about 2019 and the renovations they made are definitely upscale but comfortable. Likewise, the tasting room manager, Charles, was very knowledgeable about the entire Oregon wine industry and made our tasting here memorable.“

They have the most delicious sandwiches anywhere. I had Carlton Ham on ciabatta bread with bacon and fig jam--perfection! A half sanwich with a half salad and a glass of wine was the perfect lunch. “Excellent food and service! I will definitely be bringing family back here.
First, the menu has a great variety of sandwiches, burgers, and wraps, many of which are not your typical menu offerings. Yes, they have a basic burger, but also some really interesting and delicious-sounding alternatives. The same goes for the sandwiches.
I ordered the Irish Cheesesteak, and it was excellent! Both the sandwich and fries arrived piping hot and full of flavor. The beverage selection was also impressive, with plenty of choices without being overwhelming.
I look forward to going back and trying something new. What a great find!“

“We were camping at Stubb Stewart and went for lunch after reading reviews. Very diverse menu something for every taste! We (husband and I) shared the crab cakes, tempura green beans, and Parmesan garlic tots.server was very good, brought us 2 types of dips, one spicy and one not so. Crab cakes were very good, 4 balls, real crab with a very good kimchi tartar. Green beans were crispy with Parmesan and garlic, tots were also crispy with garlic..not greasy at all . Needless to say we had our garlic fix. Would highly recommend!“
