“My son and finance introduced us to Kramer Vineyards. It’s a little out there but well worth it. Awesome people and great assortments of wines. And if you’re lucky, you can see the pigs, Ludo and Lenny, one of which will be the ring bearer at their wedding next month. Yes, they do have occasional weddings out there.🩷 Beautiful drive and a wonderful time with loved ones.“

“Alexana is absolutely stunning. Their property and tasting room are unique in a classy and beautiful way that stands out in a valley filled with wineries. Our host, Ean, was truly a delight. Ean shared with us the stories about the people and impressive team behind their wines and the family that built the brand. We got to learn about the 18 different soils on the property and how each one has an affect on the vines and grapes that grow from them. Ean had our tasting menu customized with our party's name and provided bottles of our preferred water so we could hydrate. Alexana came highly recommended by several others in the wine industry and it's easy to see why. Our tasting was absolutely perfect. Sitting next to the fire in the cover porch on a rainy day was lovely for both warmth and ambiance.
The wines were excellent, smooth yet bold pinots, refreshing rosé and a chardonnay that was crisp, clean and light. Ean made this entire experience one that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly excellent tasting as well as an intriguing tutorial on soils. Alexana has other properties in Napa and Argentina! Tasting the wines from Argentina was such a nice surprise, the Grenache and GSM left me speechless - and of course we had to buy a few bottles. We will undoubtedly be returning for more.
Thank You, Ean and the Alexana tasting for giving us an unforgettable experience.“
“The staff here is amazing! We love Alexis and Reed. Super knowledgeable about the wines, the region and also just fun to be around. Oh and let's not forget about the wines. Soooo good. The pas de nom series is chefs kiss. The rose all day. The vigonier too! We became members this wine and the tasting room setting are so great.“

“I remember going to their original location down on Main St. right next to/connecting to the Half Moon. I moved here in 2008 and have known them for 14 years now. From the very first time, they all treated me with respect and kindness, very genuine and humble... GREAT PEOPLE!! It used to be you could dine in at both places. The atmosphere was wonderful until covid hit. Now it's only take out. The food is superior, and everyone still remembers my name... love them! Continued success!!“
“Stunning venue, delicious wine and great service.
What a gorgeous vineyard, where you can sit outside, with bottles of wine with your own picnic basket watching the gorgeous sunset!
I could not take my eyes off the stunning view. Sunset was just stunning. They have a great selection of wines. We opted for bottle services, Pinot Rośe being one of the selections and it paired very well with the stunning view. We bought few bottles to bring home.
You can see some wild life while watching the sunset and they are harmless. Staff here are awesome and extremely friendly. So glad we found this vineyard and it was worth the 45min drive from Portland.“
“Warm and highly engaged hosts. Jodie is a terrific tasting room manager. I had a great time walking around the vineyards with Rob, and they accommodated me with a tour of the winery and the cellars. Easily one of my favorite wineries to visit while in Oregon, especially for their organically farmed and beautifully nuanced expressions of Pinot Noir and other varietals.“
“I will definitely be back“

“This is the best breakfast place in all of Oregon. That’s not an opinion either. It’s a scientific fact. It is not possible to be better than Maridon’s Cafe. I will die on this hill. Right after I eat their entire supply of sausage links.“
“The wine tasting experience here was incredible. The staff were so friendly! They offer a nice range of red and white wines. I bought a few bottles and can’t wait to try more. I also recommend getting the cheese board - it was a nice touch throughout the tasting experience!“
“Wasn’t originally on my list of stops, but I’m very glad I made the detour. The experience was hospitable, kind, and attentive, all wrapped in a relaxed, easygoing tasting environment. And it certainly doesn’t hurt having Mt. Hood as a backdrop, hard to beat that view while enjoying a glass.“
“Wine was very good. I think what set them apart was their Rose, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were all worth purchasing, and we did. Seems rare for a winery to excel across multiple categories.
My only complaint is the tasting fee is expensive given you need to purchase $70 or $75 worth of product to waive just one tasting. For $35 you’re better off ordering 3-4 glasses at table for your party. The tasting pours are tiny…an ounce or less. Truly, just a taste. Go to catch the view and enjoy a glass of wine…they’re all delicious and worth the price. Don’t waste money on the tasting.“

“We had a late lunch around 2pm here on a Saturday after fishing near Hagg lake. We had a party of 9 and had a party room available that could fit us all together at one table. We appreciated being able to be seated together. They do charge a tip/service charge of 18% to use the room. We tried the chicken teriyaki don, katsu don, beef don, and salmon teriyaki don, oyakodon, as well as a salmon avocado roll. Everything was presented nicely and tasty. The dons included a small dish of soy based green beans. The one drawback was the kitchen was a little on the slow side, perhaps due to the time (2pm) we were being served.“

“Went to visit some family out in the tiny town of Carlton. This is one of their go-to spots!
Its a unique restaurant as it's also one of their only gas stations! We went for lunch but it looks like they serve a wide range of food all day.
Food was fresh and service was very friendly! They dont have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options (my friend with me was vegetarian) but she still found something she enjoyed. Serving size is also quite large, so you could easily take half your meal for later.
They have a small inside seating area and a little covered patio where we sat and enjoyed the day. Very pleasant experience!“

“I am a local guide who does reviews on restaurants and I am happy to recommend Mandarin China Restaurant! They are consistently delicious, the seasoning is spot on and the meat is tender and the vegetables crispy. The portions are generous and the timing for pickup is generally right on target. Forest Grove has a real winner with Mandarin China Restaurant!!!“

“The atmosphere is the best part about this place. And it stays open late. The service is typical of what you've come to expect from a McMennamins. The food is, as well. But overall, it's a great place to hang out, especially if you live close, like I do.“

“I haven't been here in years and came in this past weekend. Coming back after so long reminds me of how good all of their food is! They really care about the quality of their food and make everything to order. I would recommend ordering ahead but definitely worth the wait. This is a family owned business and it was nice seeing a familiar face. You can tell they take pride in the service and food! The tacos are amazing every time.“

“From a mexican-I lived in Forest Grove for 6 years, and moved temporarily to another state. Found a husband, and spent 4 more years telling him about Javier's. This morning after an Amazon flex route, I got him to go there. He cried. He hasn't had burritos like this since he was a little boy traveling to Mexico with his family, and my sweet and hard working husband cried at how good it is. From the burrito, to the sauce, it is the closest thing to home we have had in years. Dios Padre contigo todo tiempo, Javier's. Thank you from a pregnant woman and her happy and full husband. Huge burritos, fresh, amazing sauce, everything.“

“Our 1st time here. We came really late at night after the races we attended in Banks. So glad we stopped here. Due to the late at night time of our visit the place was almost empty, but it was great. The quiet ambiance was very nice. We were able to not have to compete with a lot of background sounds when talking. The building was very nice. The staff were so kind and attentive. Food looked and tasted amazing. Two of us ordered the fish n chips and the other ordered a bacon cheese burger. We got a lemon and fruit bundt cake for dessert. Food was great tasting, visually appealing. I had what they called a breakfast margarita. Which was very good tasting. Definitely a great place to visit when in town.“
