Despite the name this is not your typical diner it is an experience in excellence and is our family’s place for all major events. I simply love it“

“Had an awesome tasting at Evening Land. The property is absolutely beautiful and has some of the best views we saw in the Willamette Valley. We ended up spending way more time there than we planned because the atmosphere was so relaxing and welcoming.

What really stood out was the hospitality. Everyone was friendly, down to earth, and genuinely excited to talk about the wines without making the experience feel intimidating or overly formal. We learned a lot, had some great conversations, and never felt rushed.

The wines were fantastic across the board, especially the Pinot Noirs. You can tell there’s a lot of attention to detail in both the winemaking and the overall experience.

If you’re visiting Willamette Valley, Evening Land is absolutely worth a stop. Great wine, beautiful setting, and some of the best hospitality we experienced all weekend.“

“This is a hidden gem! Tucked in the hills, the tasting room has a beautiful view of the vineyard and forest. There are wild turkeys nearby adding to the charm. The wines are named after Persian historical figures and the staff share the unique stories and connections to the Persian winery owners. We had a lovely visit and the wines are all great!“

We always order take out, and part of that usually means less food. But that NEVER happens with El Primo. We’ve had dinner at the restaurant too a few times. And they’re wonderful. The inside is bigger than it looks. And the bar side is super cozy. 100/10 recommend!“

The pretzel sticks with cheese dip are amazing—we made sure to order them after reading other reviews, and they lived up to the hype. “Unbelievable. A hidden McMinnville gem. In business for 17 years. They make their own tortilla chips which were unlike anything I have ever tasted. Light, warm and crisp. The pork burrito was plentiful (2 meals for an old guy), very moist and tender. Rice and beans were home cooked, fresh and delicious. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Because of the high ceilings with exposed beams your conversation stays at your table as there is no echo. Prices were very reasonable. You may sit inside or out. Go!“

“My kiddo wanted to have lunch there for our Mama/Daughter day as it was our favorite Chinese place when we used to live in town. Friendly, attentive service. We ordered an app that was a mix of everything - delicious. Especially the BBQ Pork! My daughter ordered Beef with green beans in black bean sauce with fried rice, and I ordered the Peking Shrimp w steamed rice. “Hit the McMenamins Pub, McMinnville, Oregon on a recent visit and had a Capt. Neon Burger with tots and a Dirty Shirley.

The Capt. Neon Burger shows up looking unapologetically hearty. A soft, lightly toasted bun cradles a thick, juicy beef patty cooked to a satisfying char on the outside while staying tender inside. Crisp lettuce and fresh red onion add crunch and bite, while the bacon brings smoky richness that anchors the whole stack. It’s a straightforward burger done confidently...no gimmicks, just solid execution. The toothpick through the top is a small detail, but it reinforces that classic pub-burger presentation.

The food was good and was served quickly. It was a little lacking in flavor. It's typical Chinese fare. I took home half of it for another meal the next day.“
