“This is my new favorite restaurant! I have a dairy allergy and almost cried when I realized that I could actually order biscuits and gravy, french toast, and even nachos off of their regular menu. If you have a special dietary need, tell them and the staff is so understanding. They have amazing vegan pastries. The vegan chocolate croissants are to die for! I live two hours away, but will return to Eugene again and again to try everything on their menu.“

“Got into town late one night for a game the next day. Hit this spot up for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. I will most definitely be going back next time I’m in town. Dude was super funny and hooked us up with trying to decide what to get. Try this guy out. You will love it.“

“We arrived shortly before closing, and we were still welcomed. The food, the decor, and the atmosphere was superb. Fresh, local ingredients are combined in surprisingly creative and delicious ways. We started with a Last Word Sour, and it was one of best cocktails I have ever had. The burrata, heirloom tomato, and nasturtium tartine was exponentially more flavorful than we imagined, as was every other dish that followed. The dish with panisse was delicious and well-balanced, the tomato sauce on the rigatoni was so bright and fresh, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. We finished our meal with a lemon semi-freddo, and it was combined with a corn-based crumble that was shockingly delicious. Thank you, Lion & Owl for a memorable meal!! 10/10!!“

“I had a fish taco (freshly grilled tilapia, not just some frozen fish stick) and a chorizo taco. My daughter had a carne asada taco and a marinated pork taco. They were some of the best tacos we've had. Service was friendly and fast. The salsa that came with our chips was lovely.“

“Order ahead of your able because these guys are Busy! Only open Monday thru Friday. A coworker bought me a burrito for lunch and it was amazing. There is a small enclosed covered area with tables and chairs to enjoy your food right away. “Oh my god... the poutine!!! My first time.. and yes, a die and go to heaven moment. Fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds! We just ate at Falling Sky Brewing I had the most luscious cubano! With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.“

This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. “We attended the 50 YEAR REUNION FOR SOUTH EUGENE HIGH SCHOOL.My husband Andy Young was in the class of 1975!! Its a nice place. Roomy and spacious for all the folks that were there!!! Staff was friendly, Bartenders made delicious strong drinks and it was the perfect place for the 1st night of a 3 day reunion!! Everybody was happy to see each other and we had a great time...Oh if you only knew the stories some of these people told about the golf club and the houses around there!! Lots of amazing memories and a beautiful view. PERFECT PLACE FOR A GATHERING!!“

“I have been eating here since it opened and even before when Taro was at Mame. Even back then, I was blown away by the quality of the food and the intention with which it is made. Superb. I feel so fortunate that food of this quality is available in Eugene. Eating the nigiri here always makes me super happy and satisfied. It makes any girls’ night or birthday feel extra special. Just found out Sundays and Mondays are easier to get a table here so will be coming back on those days more often.“

“One of my favorite places to get lunch, their dishes are consistent, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff are always friendly and nice. Service is quick, and the dining area is kept clean. Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is my favorite meal, but I like to get the Yumm sauce on the side because at times they can add a little too much to the servings. Great place.“

“This place is the bomb. I am a football linemen, this place right here is the spot for a big burrito for 9 bucks that will fill you up. It’s an inflation proof meal. The food is fresh, authentic and delicious. My favorite is the fish burrito with green sauce.

If you are coming out of the gym and need some protein pop over to El Jaguar they will get you right.“

“This is the best Vietnamese place in town. Pho is tasty and the vermicelli noodles are delish. We always get B1 and P3. Fried rice is also good and not too oily or salty; the veggie one is not as good so I would get it with chicken for beef. If you get the fresh spring rolls, get it with the fish sauce (not peanut). They have veggie pho too that is also good. We don’t eat out a lot but when we do, this is one of our top two places. Just know it is a bit of a hole in the wall in terms of ambience but in a good way. Friendly service and delicious food. Would call on Saturdays since sometimes they are closed randomly.“

“It was our first time here. Definitely not crowded for a late Monday dinner, but that was to be expected. Overall peaceful environment. Pizza selection is nice. The menu isn’t extensive or overloaded with unnecessary “specialties”. Just the right amount of curiosity is given to try something new, meanwhile the comfortability to stick with the memories of pizza pastimes. The U of O track memorabilia transports you back to a time where the crowd at Hayward Field was jubilantly egging on the unstoppable “Pre”. We chose the whole wheat crust for the “Olympian” pie. The sturdy crunch behind each bite held well with just the perfect pull of freshly grated cheese. Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in quite sometime. Looking forward to my return to TrackTown… might have to bring my spikes and singlet. #GoPreGo“
