I appreciated that the portions were manageable so we could finish our meals and didn’t have to worry about leftovers. Blackberry cobbler for dessert was amazing!“

“My friend and I visit here every Friday evening. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Especially Jason. He remembers regulars, and is very genuinely caring about the people he serves. The servers, including Lupita, are very prompt and nice. Your drinks never go empty! We prefer this location because it’s not only open until 10pm, but because we have had such pleasant experiences with the staff. Food is pretty darn good too! Fresh breakfast meats and French toast! Iced oolong tea with sugar was lightly floral and sweet.

Price was better than I expected for the quality and portion.

“Picked up an Amalfi Bounty sandwich for the road. Massive hoagie roll but delicious flavors and so many vegetables. Cheese is thinly sliced so it doesn’t overwhelm the fillings. There’s a parking lot here and the 2 unisex bathrooms are clean.“

“My husband and I wanted to venture out and check out a new sushi spot. We tend to always visit the same place in Vancouver and chose to try something in Portland. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and saw it had great reviews so we thought we’d make our way out. It’s located off of 122nd and it’s next to a little corner store market. Very easy to miss and parking lot is very small. We were the only ones in there when we walked in. An Asian male greeted us right away and allowed us to pick any table to sit at. He brought over waters and played and utensils while we looked over the menu. There was quite a bit of options for the sushi and bento dishes, as well as the other Chinese food options. We order chicken gyoza, katsu chicken (which came with miso soup), 2 different sushi rolls and the chicken lo mein. Everything tasted fresh and the food items were all delicious. My husband loved all the dishes and rated everything a 5-star. The service was great and the restaurant was small and clean. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.“

Everyone other employee was dressed in attire you would see at Oktoberfest as you would expect in a German restaurant. She was in a very casual oversized sloppy looking sweatshirt or sweater. And although I use a walker, she led my husband quickly to our table, chatted with him while waiting for me to catch up. When the new owner's took it over this year, we were concerned about whether the comfortable, flavorful, "homestyle" experience we were used to would remain. The new team has done great!
