New American Restaurants near Gaston, OR

“I’m from Portland, but visit my mom often in Forest Grove. Whenever I’m in the area, I always drive by The Ace but never stop. Last night that changed and I’m so glad it did! Great food for a great price, cozy atmosphere and super fun staff! I can’t wait to go back again! The outdoor area looks so fun and I can’t wait to visit in the summer! “Solid 4s across the board. I went in with my dog, I called ahead of time to ensure it was okay, you have to order inside but then the food is brought out to you. We enjoyed the outdoor seating. It was a little warm but they offered a bowl of water for my dog and we found a spot in the shade.
I ordered the hang over burger off their breakfast menu. It was messy, thankful for the extra napkins our server brought out with the food. The meal was good. The seasoning was there. I did order my burger medium rare and it came out well! Other than the meat being terribly over cooked the rest of the food was good. I also ordered a side of the house made gravy as the server said it was very good. I really enjoyed the sausage gravy to dip my home cooked potatoes in. The best heavy I have had in awhile.
Service was fine. I do wish they would service the outside especially considering the place was completely empty other than a few seemingly regular bar flys sitting at the bar. Everyone was nice, staff and customers a like just wish I had a server come out to offer another beverage to combat the heat!
Atmosphere, from what I could tell was nice. Very large space inside. Very empty and very large. The outside seating was limited to 2 small tables. I understand there may be more in the back? The front was littered with cigarette butts and a fan or misters oe music or water or service would have been great but perfectly acceptable for what it was I suppose.“

“We met our Son from out of town for lunch. I had a gift card and we've been wanting to go there. Everyone was so friendly it felt like it wasn't our first time being there. The service was excellent and the food was so good and the portions were ample. We will definitely be dining there again.

Parking: We parked in the lot behind the restaurant as street parking was full.“

“We were camping at Stubb Stewart and went for lunch after reading reviews. Very diverse menu something for every taste! We (husband and I) shared the crab cakes, tempura green beans, and Parmesan garlic tots.server was very good, brought us 2 types of dips, one spicy and one not so. Crab cakes were very good, 4 balls, real crab with a very good kimchi tartar. Green beans were crispy with Parmesan and garlic, tots were also crispy with garlic..not greasy at all . Needless to say we had our garlic fix. Would highly recommend!“
