“Stunning and delicious modern twist on Korean flavors. Portions were enough for everyone to be satisfied without being overfull. Set menu priced for a splurge-y dinner. Cocktails were unique and fun. Soju had the cute little auto-pouring frog. Cool to see the meats being aged in the back fridges (during the walk to the back restrooms).“
“My son had the Spicy Gochujang fried chicken and I had the snow cheese fried chicken. The food was good. All the chicken is double fried which makes it nice and super crispy. The snow cheese was sweet kind of like a parmesan cheese coating. It was good but I found it to be a little too much coating. I think I would have enjoyed it more had it been a little less of a coating but that's my own personal thought. My son really liked the Spicy Gochujang fried chicken. I thought it was going to be real spicy and I tried some of the sauce and it was really good and not overly spicy. He also got the kimchi macaroni and cheese which he enjoyed. All came with a side of pickled daikon radishes that were absolutely fantastic. Each came with three wings that were bone in and huge! I was really surprised at how large the wings were. Overall we would definitely go back again. You can also get your food and go into the tap House that it's connected to to have a beer or order a beer and bring it out to the food court! Fun little atmosphere and fantastic customer service!“
“We had a great experience at Toki last night. My daughter and I were in town for a concert and ducked in from the great reviews but they were full for the night which is a great sign for a worthy place. While full for the night, Patrick and Lexi went to work work to create a small space for us as we offered to order take-away but they wanted to get us proper seating. So, hat tip to Patrick and Lexi and the entire service was excellent, and food very tasty and fun to explore with various dishes. No pretention whatsoever, just a hard-working business eager to have patrons be fed well and leave happy. We'll be back for sure!“
“Super impressed! They plant their own veggies and include in most dishes, foods are served by a robot!Ordered a Kimbap, added bulgogi as protein, it tastes different from what I tried before, it’s not greasy at all, healthy and delicious!“
“Awesome food!! The owner was also SO friendly and kind, she greeted me with a huge smile. The food portions are quite generous and delicious! The kimchi is also super bubbly and fresh I couldn’t get enough. The prices are also the best I saw among all the others. For the quality, amount of food and super friendly owner I can definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back!! 맛있어요!“
“What a nice hidden gem! We tried their spicy and soy garlic flavored Korean fried chicken and both were delicious and crispy. Portions were generous, and the rice, potato salad, and pickled radish that came with the bowl were a nice accompaniment. Spend the extra $1.50 for a side of kimchi. It is yummy! We are looking forward to coming back and trying the other flavors of chicken, and also their tteokbokki, beef bulgogi, and Korean style hot dogs.Only negatives are no indoor seating, and outdoor seating is sparse and not really suitable for big people.Vegetarian options: You can get fried tofu instead of chicken.Kid-friendliness: Easy to eat, non spicy options.“
“Now this is what I have been searching for!Ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries which was served up within 10 minutes from what I can only assume was the happiest guy on the planet. The chicken was super crispy, with just the right amount of spice, but it's the rest of the ingredients that steal the show. The pickles, sauce, kimchi, lettuce, tomato...work so well with the chicken, it's just perfect. Do yourself a favor and head down to Sellwood for this perfect sandwich. (No photos, as the sandwich was gone before I even thought about getting one)“
“Super cool spot with great food and some of the best house ginger beer I've ever had. Perfect after work spot, especially if you've had a rough day. I enjoyed a pork bahn mi with sweet potato fries while reading the subtitles to Dune on one of their flat screens. Life is good ?“
“This is hands down my favorite place to eat. Well, to get food. Its located inside a business complex and at first you don't think your at the right place. Take the turns on the main floor opposite the bathrooms and you will find pure heaven. The lady is always so sweet and she makes the best Kimbap!!!! There is no dining in. Its just take out.“
“Ate Oh Ate has some amazing Hawaiian food. On our first visit we ordered the tofu teriyaki plate with salad and the shoyu chicken plate with macaroni salad and rice. This place did not disappoint. The tofu was super firm and well marinated in a very tasty teriyaki sauce. The shoyu chicken was also very good and the macaroni salad is super bomb. They also have a lime ginger hot sauce that really compliments the sauces they use on the meat and tofu. They serve a Mai Tai which cannot be beat in this town. The staff is attentive and friendly and our family has a had a great experience the two times we have been here. Cannot wait to come back try other options on the menu.“
“Has a little bit of a hole in the wall feel to it but amazingly good food. Our table ordered a variety of things and we did family style. It gave us a lot of opportunity to try a different things. I highly recommend it. You know, the family style part and also the restaurant!“
“It was surprisingly not that busy on a Saturday evening, I think I got lucky coming before the dinner rush. After ordering they were still making the beef so I had to wait 15 minutes for it to be ready. There were things to check out around the area so the time went by pretty quickly. Rice Bowl with Beef 8.5/10 - I was hungry at the time of this meal so opening that box was like opening treasure. It was very tasty and I ate it all really quickly, but I wish there had been more kimchi. With the amount that was given, it seems like a no brainer to go with the 2 potstickers. Although, I would definitely get this again if I ever come back. Potstickers 9/10 - I also got the 5 potstickers on the side, and these really also really good. They were crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. I don't think I'd get this on the side again but it was good!“
“One of the best ramen experiences I have had since living in Portland. Erica, behind the counter, could not have been more amazing. Extremely accommodating and helpful. This place offers the at home atmosphere with a Japanese twist. Large portions, offers a great bang for your buck and yet still delicious. I will be back for sure.“
“I love taking my kids here! They have a space specifically for kids to play before or after dinner. The food is delicious and the kids will try dishes they normally wouldn’t. Ingredients are always fresh and prepared well. The prices are fair and they bring a great twist to all their dishes.I highly recommend this for a date night with kids or parents getting together with kids in tow.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome to roam free and explore the restaurant.“
“Went in late on a Sunday afternoon with a party of 5. Friendly and accommodating staff were awesome! The food was top notch, we even stayed for dessert. A great experience, will be going back again!Dietary restrictions: Easy, yummy vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere with fun optionsWheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access“
“Hidden little gem in the pod off burnside. Great Korean bentos. Owner is friendly and Korean - so the food is legit. I like their spicy chicken - flavored with gochujang which is a spicy paste. Got the kalbi combo - wasn't worth the up charge to get the spicy chicken added. In the future I'd just get a spicy chicken bento“
“Really good! The tofu was cooked perfectly, probably some of the best tofu I've ever had in bibimbap. I wish the egg was a little less rubbery, but other than that it was great and the portion was massive. I got a side of kimchi, and that was a little fishy for my liking but that could just be my personal preference! Would probably come here again!“
“Ordered southern wings for my kids. 30 min wait which wasn't bad for such a busy service. Chicken had great crunch from the fry and cooked to near perfection. 0 time lag between cooking and serving so the food was steaming hot ?. Guy at register didn't seem to happy to be there which effected my 5 star rating but everyone has a day. It's all good.“
“Their spam masubi is the best I've found. Perfectly cooked rice, seared crispy spam, and just the right amount of a glaze. I can't stop talking about to my spouse....so much so that he told me "enough with your perfectly cooked rice and the seared spam with the glaze" lol Their bowls are also great if you want a bigger meal.“
“Just finished eating a bowl of bibimbap- then tried to eat some from of my son’s bowl! It was delicious! Large portions, fresh and great flavor. We also had the katsu- this was a winner too, the melted cheese was a great touch. I’ll be back- highly recommended( sorry no photo- we ate it too fast)“
“Very delicious!!! Please support them! They (and along with a lot of other small businesses) care a lot about the community and are choosing to invest in Portland when others are leaving.Downtown Portland even with all its issues is still a great and fun place, and Kim Jong Grillin and the rest of the carts at the Cart Blocks pod are doing great work.I highly recommend getting their off-menu item, but I won’t mention the name of it in this review because I don’t want them to stop offering it because of popularity “
“I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s always so fresh and delicious! The owners are great people who really put a lot of care and effort into their food. They even remember my regular order which is impressive since they have so many different people coming in every day. I plan on continuing to be a regular here and I’d definitely recommend it if you want something healthy, quick and tasty. :)“
“Stopped in because of Portland Mercury Sandwich Week. They were offering the Kimcheesesteak sandwich. It was ok, what i beleive was American cheese didn't quite work for me. Also had the lettuce wraps, where the ground chicken filling was very tasty! Enjoyed the service, very friendly. The restaurant has 2 garage roll up doors that they can open when it's warmer out. They also have a nice bar. I'd definitely consider going back to try some of their other menu items.Parking: There is more parking on the side of the building“
“This is my preferred AYCE kbbq spot, the menu has more variety compared to places like Kkoki. Service is pretty consistent, not the best but not bad. I do feel like they start to get stingy & come around a lot less after we order anymore than like 3 rounds. Place is cool, very loud, K-pop music playing in the background, people chatting, grills sizzling. Great place for hanging out with friends & drinking a little too much soju. This location is my preferred over their sister location in Beaverton as well, we tried the one in Beaverton once & lord our server must've been having a bad day because they gave us the nastiest attitude & barely checked on us. We had to ask other servers for help.Make sure to always get a grill change before your next round.“
“Love this place! Never been there but I use DoorDash. LOVE the egg drop soup. Has some veggies in it along with plenty of egg, nice texture. Also love the fried rice, and the spring rolls are fabulous. Food travels well. It always makes me happy. Gotta go, it just arrived....“
“First time in Portland and the Hyatt House was an excellent choice of hotel for me.The location by the River was relaxing, as well as, the well maintained pool. Very friendly and helpful staff, this hotel has it all, a nice hot breakfast, a Bar, a pool and is in a great location. Would stay again!“
“Me and my partner love coming here! The staff are always super helpful and friendly and of course the food never disappoints. You can also order so many of the dishes vegetarian. It is honestly a hidden gem in Portland, especially among the vegan/veggie community. There is something on the menu for everyone! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!“
“Sometimes it's hard to locally find Korean BBQ that isn't super packed inside with a wait list. My partner and I had driven around town looking for places and stumbled across Toji from a Google search. It was just what we were looking for. We came near the last hour of service and we were seated quickly, plus our food also arrived fast. Service was polite, and the restaurant was clean. The meats taste delicious though they can be a little bit on the pricey side, though definitely fair for what you get. Sauces complement the meat well. Parking can be tricky, but this place is cozy and well worth a visit.“
“Seeking Korean we have never tried in PDX made this gamble trek down south worth it. Unpretentious, standard Korean restaurant decor. Clean, well kept but nothing new. Service ~ the lady was so kind & welcoming. She was hustling between an almost full house but gave every table warm greetings and attention. Food ~ simply tasty, delish, and we over ate by adding another dish! Banchan sides were plentiful & fresh. Happily refilled them before we asked. Hearing the staff call out customer names told us this is a neighborhood favorite in Happy Valley.“
“Vegan options! and the mac salad is "accidentally" vegan! The first time I went it was absolutely incredible, talked about it for weeks. The 2nd time I went everything was a little on the bland side, so YEMV, tons of potential tho, I'll be back.“
“I have been getting takeout here for special occasions, parties and holidays for a couple of years (most recently today for the Super Bowl). The online ordering system works great, they’ve got everything you would want to eat, and the folks at the restaurant are nice as can be. Great and consistent.“
“This place was fantastic. The vibes are great, the meat quality was great and their marinades were delicious. Highly recommend the jumelleok which is their boneless marinated short rib. We did the all you can eat and it is so worth it. Also the manager Thai went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be back.Do yourself a favor and try this place! Also huge plus is that they are open late which is very rare to see in Portland.“
“Great fun food choices for an easy brunch before an event nearby. Name on table was a nice touch with our reservations. Easy casual space with upgraded food choices and nice touches. Would visit again. Our group had the benedict, teri burger, combo plate (ribs were great!), masubi and bibimbap bowl. All delicious.“
“This is probably my favorite teriyaki in Portland. It is consistently good. What sets it apart for me is their salad dressing which is a little sweet yet tangy and it pairs perfectly with the teriyaki sauce and chicken - I put the dressing over everything!“
“This is some of the best Korean food, and maybe the best fried chicken I've ever had. I've eaten here multiple times, and brought several friends to try, and we've never had anything but outstanding food. Truly one of the hidden gems of the regional food scene.“
