50 Best Vegetarian Restaurants near Jacksonville

“I’ll be brief.

Not fancy, but believe it or not there’s a decent sushi restaurant in Jacksonville, OR. Hard to believe isn’t it?

Last time i was there I had a fancy spider roll and some Tuna roll. Both quite good.

I haven’t had their Nigiri, so jury is out for now on that. I’ll update this review if there’s more to add.“

“5 of us had dinner on the patio and the setting and service were first class. I had duck which is one of my favorite dishes and this was crisp and tasty- delicious. The staff is friendly and the owner visited with us. We all loved it!“

“The Vineyard has a lovely atmosphere and I found the wine better than most I have experienced in the Rogue River Valley. Sara was a very nice and attentive server, and I liked the restaurant's balance of Italian styling with grounded farm Lake atmosphere. It didn't feel ostentatious, but felt a bit special. I would definitely go back to Dancin vineyard!“

“I've always driven by wondering, but finally stopped in. I heard a good review from a friend and my visit didn't let me down. It's a clean, rustic atmosphere, nothing too fancy, but quite organic and appropriate for the location and price. Clean. Loved the yellow curry with chicken. Staff was courteous and attentive. This is a nice little gem tucked into the roots of south Medford.“

“This is my first time dining in at this place. Servers were very friendly and attentive. We were seated promptly. I ordered BBQ chicken by itself without rice or salad. Server told me that the potion was like appetizer size. However, the potion was huge and it filled up the whole plate as you can see in my picture! The chicken was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. “I have been here a few times for dinner in various nights. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is tucked in the corner of the shopping center. They are always very busy with to go orders and folks walking in to eat. The food is always very good. Fresh and made to order. The restaurant has about 6, 4 tops and is cozy. The staff are always professional and keep our drinks filled and again make sure we are happy with our choices. Tonight I got the eggplant and my daughter got the red curry. Both delicious. They're the best breakfast and lunch spot you can find in town, with great food, wonderful service, and fair prices on everything throughout the menu. Make sure that you are looking for the times because they do close early but are open very early as well. They have the best cinnamon rolls in town, the largest I've seen, and they fill up an entire plate, made fresh daily. All of the ingredients are fresh, and you can't beat this anywhere else in town.“

“When we came the only other table was occupied. And while dining, the place started to fill up quickly. So, I can imaging that the wait time may increase, as the place packs up.

The sushi rolls we ordered were good size and quality and very tasty. Personally, I liked the variety, though wouldn't complain to see more sushis with fresh fish only.

“I really wanted to love this place. Especially with all the great reviews from over the previous years. But...

We went there for my birthday dinner (myself and my parents), at 5:00pm on a Friday, because my folks are both seniors. There were only two other tables seated, but it was SO loud. The waitress tried to seat us right by the door, immediately across from the counter. But we politely asked for a table against the back wall, so we could hear each other (my mom uses hearing aids). And then the attitude started. Like we asked her to build us a table.

Once agreeing to our request to simply walk 15 feet, she gave us about 90 seconds to look at the menu, but was offended by my mother's request for more time, but couldn't be bothered with a drink order. Then, after repeated attempts to flag her down and being ignored, she finally came back. No explanation of which item came with rice or not, or ??? Never a single smile or anything like a welcoming gesture. Ever.

Finally, after ordering and receiving our food. I have to admit - I expected so much more. I could excuse the sourpuss (even downright rude) waitress, if the food was glorious. But, the pad thai noodles were sort of all glued together in a clump. My peanut sauce had a separated oil in it. However, my mom's cashew nut stir fry was the star of the show. My dad ended up eating half of that.

Overall, I was hoping to give the rave that so many others were posting, here. But, I'm giving them a generous 4 stars, based on my perfectly fried chicken and my mother's great dish. DEFINITELY NOT THE WAITRESS.
