“Things may be biased since I was there for karaoke and had a great time, but the place was great and I had a great time. KJ Amicus was very chill, good vibes.I didnt get anything to eat so cannot comment on the food, but peeps had tots and wings at the table and they looked good.Overall, a fun Saturday night, come on by, hear Johnny 5 kill it on the mic!“
“I don't know if the service or food is better but both are incredible. I haven't had better pasta. The albacore bruschetta was one of the best appetizers I've ever hadm so was the burrata was this fry bread. Go back and get something else again. It's so good.“
“Tomorrow's Verse is one of our favorite Portland establishments. The beer selection is top notch, the space is open and inviting, and the staff is always welcoming. They offer savory hand pies and permit outside food too--there is a wealth of excellent food options all along NE Fremont. Additionally, Tomorrow's Verse has a patio area--it became our living room during the height of the pandemic. If you're into live music, Tomorrow's Verse frequently hosts bands and streaming concerts. I cannot recommend Tomorrow's Verse enough.“
“Went here for the first time on Tuesday. Great spot for beer in a charming old house! The staff was very nice and I could tell they take a lot of pride in the beautiful space they've created. And Erica's Soul Food cart on the back patio was Delicious!“
“We were blown away by the flavor of the ramen. It was absolutely amazing and authentic, just as good as any good ramen you could have in Japan. The chicken karaage was also pretty impressive— tender and juicy. This would be on our recommendation list for people craving for ramen in Portland.“
“My partner and I come here every now and again, the server Tia is always so friendly and patient with us while figuring out our drinks and the comedy shows on Thursday nights are hands down the best and most well curated “underground” comedy in Portland. 10/10 would recommend if looking for a great taproom.“
“I’ve been coming to the barrio since it opened almost 10 years ago and have always really loved this place! It’s my daily and special occasion go to, Chris, the owner is welcoming & warm as well as always accommodating! Dog friendly, best sangria in the city & a really awesome atmosphere :) 10/10 I couldn’t say enough!“
“Thank you Ann for a fabulous experience for the 2024 Westland high school baseball auction. You went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and the food was amazing. We look forward to holding our next event with you soon. I highly recommend anyone looking for an event space to, go see, and she will definitely take care of you.Dietary restrictions: Handmade an amazing vegan dish for our event.“
“Stopped in a couple of days ago after a long, cold hike in the rain. Even though they had finished serving coffee for the day, Jesse was so nice to make me a pour-over hot coffee - just what I needed to warm up, and such a great cup of coffee! ☺️ Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area!“
“Easily the best burger in the metro area. They make a smash burger but like anything in Portland. That is not true. It is an almost smash burger more like a pressed burger does not have the lacey char or anything that makes a good smash burger. Also second best burger in Oregon. Junkyard is better. No this burger does not compare to smash burgers in Los Angeles.“
“A gem of a place in St Johns. This really is a great little bar to sit back, relax and enjoy a pint in. Pet Friendly and just very chill, it's the type of place where you stop in for a pint, but stay for the conversation. An impressive selection of beers are on tap, there's a small and simple food menu that just sits right. Art and doggy treats can also be found for sale here. Glad I stopped in and I'll be stopping in again for sure!“
“We just happened to come across this place while walking around by our hotel. LOTR is my favorite book and I love the movies so we had to stop by. Loved the ambiance of this place. They had LOTR playing on the TV's. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Portland.“
“My favorite neighborhood bar! Really great selection of beers, cider, and wine – not to mention all of the beverages you can snag in the fridge if you're on-the-go. Super nice staff, really accommodating, mellow vibe, and overall just great ambiance. Give this spot a shot!“
“The coffee is great. I love coming here. I've been going to 40 lbs since they originally opened. It's my go to study spot, my "I just survived finals" spot and just a great place to get the best avocado toast! The only reason I can't give them five stars is because the last few times I've tried to go down on the weekends and according to their website and social media they should be open. And they're not. Tried to reach out to the owner and got nothing back.“
“I just went on Monday and the owner is wonderful. He makes his own tartar sauce - which was delicious with my fish, chips and coleslaw! The prices are great and I would definitely go there again. I’m originally from the UK so i like good fish and chips!“
“Great little neighborhood bar with vintage vibe. Rochelle was a great bartender! I gave only 4 stars instead of 5 because the music was awful for the 2.5 hours I was there. We would have stayed longer but listening to loud punk rock in a cool vintage bar didn't match and seemed most customers were also annoyed with music. That is a huge part of the experience.“
“I’m elated that this bar is under new ownership, I spent NYE here and it was a blast! I went back for my birthday. Entertainment is excellent-drag and burlesque shows, bands and comedy too. I’ve had a wonderful time every time! OH and the bar tenders are really incredibly nice and accommodating. Can’t recommend enough!!“
“I had my wedding welcome party and rehearsal at ForeLand and they were just lovely. They were so accommodating throughout the whole process of planning, with being flexible on the timing and hours as well as the decorations and music. Our guests LOVED the venue - it felt cozy and intimate but was out of this world cute and beautiful. The beer and wine were all absolutely incredible. It started off my wedding weekend on an amazing note and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. Thank you David for everything - you are an amazing human and ForeLand is just lovely.“
“Went on a night when Murder Casserole Live was there and it was so much fun. Took my mother and my husband. We were the only new faces in the crowd but it was a lot of fun. Probably going to show up next month for the next Murder Casserole Live night.“
“Nice little place, but parking can be a challenge. The street parking is limited and competitive. The place is larger inside than it appears from without. The beer is mostly German style, including the Ipa.There is outdoor seating for nice days. Inside, there is a foosball table and a couple of dartboards. I expect there would be a busier atmosphere if the parking situation was better.“
“Jeff, the patron, has filled the establishment with his own eclectic mix of offerings. The choices of beer and wine demonstrate that the selection has been planned for diversity and enjoyment. The atmosphere is great and feels like the neighborhood bar that we want to walk to.“
“Such a fun, welcoming little bar! The food is absolutely delicious, the cocktails are lovingly crafted, and the HUGE game selection makes this place the best hidden gem on Main Street. Head up the stairs next to Versus and check it out for yourself!“
“What a lovely establishment with beautiful details and a welcoming and inviting vibe. From the chocolates on the counter to the carefully chosen tins of fish, to the friendly bartender and the delightful rose. Bar Botellon is a gem, where they really make you feel like you're the only customer in the place. This is my new favorite stop for a glass of wine and some delicious handmade tapas (try the marinated cheese and the sardines!!!!!!) I will be back!“
“Love coming here. Whether you want fire wings or an a vegan option, this is the place for you. It gets busy, but food is pretty quick and everyone is friendly. The environment is fun and food is delicious, you will not be disappointed! The sugarcane bone vegan wings are one of the best wing alternatives around!“
“Lombard House y’all are stars! LH has shown their support for PAT during our strike movement for safer schools for PDX families! You’ve opened a teacher tab and given us nothing but love-even before the strike we gather in your space to CELEBRATE, brainstorm and connect with our community even further as educators. We appreciate your solidarity and support now and always. Thank you so much- James John Elementary Educators“
“Highly would recommend. That sums up the experience. The owner behind the counter is a gentleman. He knew his taps like the back of his hand. He was of the upmost polite despite my "ignorance". This place is welcoming. Now the taste of the beer on tap, #10 was good for a wheat beer. There are many options here for all enthusiast or people looking for whatever their pallet is keen to.“
“Laura, the assistant manager is wonderful, kind and very smart. She is very friendly and as soon as you walk through the door she greet you with a smile and always ask how you were doing. She remembers my order all the time. I do not even have to say a word. I’ve been going there since they have open for the very first day.“
“You can have all the atmosphere in the world but it Don't Mean a Thing if the food is not Rockin' I'll go back to make sure this wasn't a one hit wonder but I've Got a Feelin' that it will once again Feel Like the First Time!“
“Listen, I live nearby and used to get Spitz ALL the time. The fries are AMAZING and most of the staff are AWESOME. The drinks are also super yummy. But recently I've been forgoing it for several reasons:1) portion size has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY on the bowls. Normally when I'd order a bowl to go, it would touch the top of the lid. Now, it's disappointingly half-full (or pessimisticly, half-empty). It just doesn't really feel like it's worth the pricetag, especially not with the food carts around the corner. Except the fries. The fries are DEFINITELY worth the money.2) I'm still peeved about an order I made a few months ago, which was a GF order (which I have automatically saved in my online orders to make it so, and double checked the note was there). Since I'd never had an issue before, I grabbed my bag, and I walked all the way home. When I opened it, I realized that they had put bread on it (obviously not GF). Since the bread was smashed down and touching everything AND I am gluten intolerant, I called to say that there had been an issue with the order and the woman on the other phone blatantly did not believe me??? She had me walk all the way back with my order, acted like I was a huge inconvenience when she pulled my bowl out of the bag, and made me wait like a naughty child before FINALLY remaking the order. Like the Millennial I am, *I* ended up apologizing profusely for receiving an incorrect order which could have made me really sick. She, on the other hand, kind of just thrusted my re-made food to me.Like, I had literally been going there about twice a week... There was no need to treat me like a thief or a Karen, OR make me show proof BEFORE remaking the order. It left SUCH a bad taste in my mouth.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“
“This place is cozy with a fireplace on one wall. I discovered it one night and they had a live musician playing music. I think they called themselves Bex. It was really chill. Violinist, multy instrimental, with a voice of an angel. Bartender was nice, and they had Mead! It was good. Never have I ever had Mead before and I don't think I will be drinking anything else there. I felt as though the ombions took me into a modern version of a Viking tavern. Loved it. Totally recommend you checking it out.“
“I’ve been coming here since they opened. Hard to find a better place to grab a beer in Portland. The employee owners will take the time to learn what you like and always steer you in the right direction. They are absolute curators of tasty beverages either on tap or from the cooler. How crazy is it to have almost 50 reviews and all 5 stars? All you need to know. Thank you for a real good time!“
“Just grabbing some suds with some industry colleagues was a great experience. I ordered a beer, and when the waitress saw that it had more bubblies than it should, she brought me a fresh one, no questions asked. Always refreshing to get to notch service!“
“This was one of the better meals my husband and I enjoyed while visiting Portland. The walls are covered in Mexican art. There are plenty of tables and a nice bar to sit at. The food was delicious but not gigantic portions. My husband ordered the street tacos from the happy hour menu. The chicken inside the tortilla was as delicious and seasoned perfectly. He also had tortilla chips and salsa which you had to pay for separately. I had the Carnitas plate with beans and a salad- Very tasty and the Carnitas were very moist. The staff wasn't overly friendly but the food made up for it! tried the Cadillac margarita it was a little weak. Feeling like Mexican? Definitely give this place a go.“
“Chris, the owner of Addabeer, is an outstanding bartender. He excels in providing attentive service and possesses extensive knowledge about the wide selection of beers, ciders, and wines available at the establishment. Not only is he extremely friendly, but his wit and personable nature contribute to a delightful atmosphere. Furthermore, the choice of music adds to the overall experience, enhancing your enjoyment while savoring your beverage. I highly recommend visiting Addabeer based on Chris's exceptional service and the overall ambiance provided.“
“I have been coming here for years. Recently I went to pick up cans and there was nothing fresh in the fridge. Only some that were canned back in September thought that was really weird. A lot of guest taps as well, not sure if they're uninspired or don't care enough to make more of their own beers. I was about to come in a buy $60 worth of cans to take home but there aren't any. Owner is really nice though so I'll try again later.“
“This is a great local brewery. Our go to neighborhood location. This is a video game theme brewery, pinball games, and has a small outdoor deck in the back and small outdoor patio in the front. This is a dog friendly establishment for well-behaved dogs :) We have brought our dog and kiddo and it has been great. Beer is definitely solid. This used to be an old bank and the taps are inside what used to be a bank vault! Very friendly staff.“
“Great local brews on tap with a jolly, kind bar keep! Definitely a neighborhood favorite with carefully curated beer options! Loved the array of options and pet friendliness! Families and local healthcare professionals go to spot for the Laurelhurst area!“
“Amazing tap list with tons of variety across styles. Not just beer; they even had a hard lemonade, a hard seltzer and a few interesting ciders, plus some cocktails. Mostly PNW brews. The bottle selection isn't as big or varied, but who needs that when you can taste the rainbow and get a crowler fill of it?“
“Came here for the Alesong take over. Got the flight specials. It's a small and intimate place. With great service. And they love to play vinyl records for music. They have a great selection of beers and you can bring in your own food or order from the place next door. Love the location, downtown Oregon City. Perfect for the weekend with the friends on a cold day. Come and have a drink maybe bring a snack and broaden your tastes.“
“This is another gem in the McMenamins line of fun, historical establishments - and by far my favorite! Been here many times over the years - actually even had my very first lobster roll EVER here (as a special item years ago) and it was amazing. The vibe is so quirky - you definitely feel like you’re walking the halls of your old elementary school - except there are bars and a lively restaurant and even a brewery haha!! The staff has always been super welcoming and friendly. The food at their main Courtyard Restaurant has always been great. On my last visit (July 2023), I had their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was SO GOOD!! Even their tater tots were perfectly cooked. And they even have some of the best iced tea I’ve had outside of the south! Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a treat to try something new. After eating, leave time to explore - the grounds are just gorgeous and you’ll get lost in the nostalgia as you wander around the old school’s hallways. They have several bars - one is huge and has total steampunk vibes. They have a small hotel and a salt water pool - even the bathrooms are beautiful. I’d definitely like to stay here next time - but I imagine it can be a tad spooky at night haha! The school opened back in 1915 so it’s a historic building. The wall art is gorgeous and there are lots of info signs and historical pics scattered around. It’s in a good location in north Portland with plenty of parking and easy to find. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“
“Cute outside place to grab a drink. Food and drinks had a college vibe to them but it was fun. People had their dogs there which I bet is a nice location to go to. But there's definitely some repainting and maybe cleaning of water fountain and other places that needs to be done.“
“stopped in for a snack while visiting from Canada and the staff went truly above and beyond to give us advice on cool places to go and things to see while we were in Portland. we followed their advice and had some good adventures, highly appreciated :)“
“We started with the loaded brisket fries and they did not disappoint. Everyone dug in and they way we polished them off you would think that we hadnt eaten for a week...they were that good. The brisket sandwich has to be made with some of the best brisket that I have ever had. It was juicy with just enough crunch to make you realize how long it must have smoked for. We also got the Portobello mushroom sandwich which was a big hit. The portions where ample and just thinking about I cant wait to go back.“
“Alright, new to this area. Highly suggest a stop here. Bartender is super cute and friendly. Other guests are kind and interactive. Definitely a home town feel that makes guests feel welcome and accepted too. Bartender great at helping you navigate the different beers so you find one you like. Safe, clean and welcoming. Love it!!“
“Don’t let the checkered paper lined baskets fool you, the food is definitely a few notches above “bar food”. In fact, my Warm Brussels Salad was flat out fantastic! They offer a good number of beers on tap, and mix up very a tasty cocktail, too. I had a Crystal Beach Daiquiri, which features a loganberry cordial along with a blend of rums, which was a stunning berry color and fantastic flavor.Service was excellent, and they were able to accommodate our group of eight easily- though we did get there fairly early in the evening.“
“Fantastic 'market' destination with food and drinks, don't let the quiet street front put you off. The Taproom bar has great selection of local craft beers and incredible cocktails. Awesome service as well - learnt loads about good spots in Portland to hang out.“
“This is my go-to place after work. It's great for a quick happy hour with colleagues and offers indoor and outdoor seating and if you ask, they'll add glitter to your beer! Their beer is pretty good and there are decent options. They often carry hefes which I appreciate!“
“The fried chicken or shrimp baskets are over the top. They are about the best I have had. Not pre-breaded & frozen. Just awesome food. Service is always spot on. My only suggestion for improvement would be to dampen the sound. This is a happy friendly brew pub but the noise level at lunch is quite high. Overall this is a can't miss place to dine out.“
