“A small and vibey coffee shop tucked away in Mosier — such a gem! I ordered an Americano, and Abby made my drink. The coffee was incredibly fresh and delicious. Abby, the barista, provided excellent service — super efficient, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. I’ll definitely be back!“
“We love Garnier Vineyards! They have a beautiful view of the gorge, delicious wines, and are the loveliest people! We worked with them ahead of our visit as we were bringing 40 people there (a few wineries in the area turned us down due to the size of our party - Garnier said "no problem, thanks for lettings us know ahead of time so we can be properly staffed!"). Our host really leaned into explaining all the wines to us, including why growing in the Columbia Gorge was unique (most of our group was from out of town so super fun for them to learn!)It was such a special memory I'll cherish forever! Couldn't recommend Garnier more.“

“Stopped here on a whim and had the BEST experience! The food was phenomenal, we tried the Birria taco special and I will dream about them - the flavors were all perfect. We also got the side salad and it was loaded with fresh fruit and veggies and left the kids very happy. Cider was great, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, can’t wait to come back and try more. What a gem!“

“I've been here a few times now. This is my favorite bakery I've found on the Fruit Loop so far. I love their strawberry and huckleberry cinnamon rolls, and 2/3 of the cookies I've tried have been great. The third (tart cherry) had way too much baking powder, but honestly, that kind of error once in a while just helps prove they're homemade. They have over a dozen creative flavors of cookies, three or four kinds of cinnamon rolls, and a few varieties of empanadas. The cinnamon rolls and empanadas are currently mix and match 3/$15, or $6 each. If you're camping and happen to have a cast iron pie press, I highly recommend reheating the cinnamon rolls this way. I also tried their non alcoholic honeycrisp cider, and was so happy with it. It's at least as good as my favorite cider from my favorite farm at Apple Hill back home. Aside from having great pastries and cider, Packer Orchards also sells all kinds of local jams and homemade ice creams. They always have a plethora of local dips, sauces, and condiments out to sample. They also have some custom made Instagram photo ops out in their orchards. The girls who work here are all super friendly. Love this place.“

“Popped in a little before closing on a Monday evening. Great atmosphere with vinyls spinning, calm space, bar cat, and great beers! Thoroughly enjoyed the Helles and the dry Irish stout. Friendly service with good information about the flavor profiles of the beers. Will definitely return.“

“Not my first time here. In fact, I have been coming since 2020, and have made trips from Damascus just to come here.
They devote time and attention to developing the broths for each ramen. Try the duck curry! You are welcome.
Seating is comfortable and overlooks the hills and river.
Staff is always helpful and welcoming.“

“Pine Street Bakery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 9/15/22, I stopped in Hood River, Oregon to check out Pine Street Bakery. Owner Megan Davis’s mother started Grand Central Bakery in Seattle, Washington in 1972. Today, there are 11 locations between Portland and Seattle. If you ever have an opportunity to visit a Grand Central Bakery/Café, I recommend it. I wanted to try one of their famous Cardamom Knots, which are Challah dough slathered in Vanilla Butter, covered in Cardamom Sugar and tied in a Knot. Unfortunately, they were out. I got a Carrot Cake cupcake ($5), which is one of their best sellers, as well as a Maddie Cake cupcake ($5). The Maddie Cake cupcake is a seasonal cupcake that changes with some regularity. The current Maddie Cake cupcake is Peaches & Cream. It is Vanilla cake filled with Peach compote made from local peaches, topped with a Vanilla Swiss Meringue Butter cream frosting. I enjoyed both cupcakes but my favorite of the two was the Maddie Cupcake because it was so unique. There was a generous amount of peach compote in the center of the cupcake, as well as on top. The compote had great flavor. Both cupcakes were fairly dense but moist. In addition to the baked goods and breads, Pine Street Bakery has Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee menus, as well as specials. They also sell a lot of other products and fresh flowers. Highly Recommended!!!“

“Friendly and effecicient servers also very patient. This is my personal prefered location. I have been to dutch bros all the way from The Dalles to Portland. The coffee at this location never disappoints me as it's mixed well, made fast and presented beautifully. Great drinks, great people, great location!“
“The perfect coffee shop! The barista is super friendly and helpful! The hand-crafted drinks taste like they are made with care, not just churned out of an assembly line. The breakfast burritos are fresh and delicious. The outdoor seating is lovely, but if you are in a hurry, it's easy to get in and out fast. Prices are very reasonable. Great place!“

“Beer is carefully selected, atmosphere is bright and inviting, when they have food, it is special. Besides that, it is just a chill space to meet friends and hang out, without feeling like your in a local dive. Although, it is locally owned and represents the community.“
“Left with enough bottles bagged for a week of boarding Mt Bachelor‘s fresh daily powder! Great service and knowledge of the grapes, vintages and unique noses and sensations on the palate. Minimal design w/excellent artworks accenting the simplicity. Happy to spend an afternoon of tasting another year’s releases should adventures bring us here once more.“
“We just dropped by after Eagle watch. The staff was so kind and friendly, she explained each of our tastings in such a personable and detailed way. Their wines are so delicious. We will definitely be back to visit again!Photograph by Yu-Min, Su (Instagram @charliesu_yms)“

“We love this place, we have been staying here for over 20yrs. Just recently stayed there in December but unfortunately there was a ice storm. We still enjoyed our stay and the staff as always was AWESOME. We are heading down this weekend for our 37yr anniversary so looking forward to it.“
“I have been coming to the taphouse for years. The owners have done a fantastic job with the space they have created! The beer is always consistant along with the service! Next time you are in Hood River I highly recommend you check them out!“
“Great selection of wines, absolutely beautiful interior and view of the river. My only disappointment was the Frozé. Tasted like a cheap slushy rather than an actual frozen Rosé drink that cost 16$. The packaging was great tho! Super cool idea.“

“Thank you Boda's Kitchen for everything you do. You make everyday special and special days extraordinary. From the cookies, hot and cold sandwiches, fantastic salads (actually more than fantastic), roast chicken and potatoes, to your cheese and salum selections and all the tasty treats to go with. Then the special days, wow, your catering is absolutely the best. We all know that if it comes from Boda's, it will be incredible. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you“

“I've started going here fairly regularly and I've always had exceptional service and the drinks I get are always fantastic. The owner always crafts me the most delicious drinks and has an incredible smile that always brightens my day, regardless of how it was going beforehand. Their message is also great to see and fits their name very well.“
“Pub/brewery/tasting room/ whatever you want to call it can be Disney commercial esque. NOT here! Wow. So good. Delightful. Thoughtful options. Tells one that they actually care. Mac and Cheese easily elevates to my top five on earth. Aioli was dynamite. Had to order an extra to slip the fries. Cabbage was simple elegance. Beer salad was the only disappointment. Greens, a few beets and and an orange or two to disguise the overabundance of lettuce. So impressed. Perfection doesn’t exist. But this was better than expected and exceeded expectations.“

“Best food in Hood River! And right up there with the top restaurants in Portland, as well. Tasty seafood options, steaks, pasta. Good variety, focusing on quality over quantity. Beautiful presentation. Desserts are top notch and in appropriate proportions. Having been here many times over the years, we drove an hour from Portland just for dinner on a beautiful day. The views from the deck are wonderful!“

“We don’t have nearly enough places up north offering their beer which is the worst part of this brewery, especially since the Prickly Pear Sour is absolutely a perfect beer. Luckily if you find yourself up north near Lake Stevens, Coconut Kenny’s has them on their rotating tap so we aren’t fully deprived up north of a great WA state brewery.“
“Awesome owners! Awesome environment, love this place and all the choices of cider and beer!“

“I actually haven't a clue if they have good food. But this was the first bar I ever went to in Hood River (not going to EVEN say how long ago).
For a while I was having an affair with Hood River. I would escape there as often as I could (we eventually broke it off), and to this day it's still the first place I go!“

“We showed up on Father’s Day, a big outing Sunday for families, after we struggled to get into two other restaurants with our hungry 2 year old and when we told our waitress that our kid really needed to eat 10 minutes ago they instantly got a plate of rice and beans out to our table with waters and chips so our little one would melt down. That’s the sign of an amazing restaurant and people who understand their customers! Thank you so much for saving part of our vacation when we were stressing out, we are new loyal consumers whenever we pass through town. Also, the sauce on the chili reino was different and really good!“

“I love to eat here whenever I'm in town enjoying the sauna and cold plunge at the Society Hotel. It can be a little spendy, but during football season, they have $1 chips and salsa and $2 tacos on Sunday and Thursday nights. Can't beat that!! The cocktails are nicely crafted and the agua fresca is made in house. It's a great local gem.“

“Idiots Grace is a beautiful little winery hidden away in the Columbia Gorge on the eastern edge of Mosier, Oregon. My wife and I had the fortune of knowing someone who is a member of the Idiots Grace wine club and tagged along with them when they went to pickup a few bottles of wine. I'm a bit of a novice at wine tasting but I've never experienced anything like what's offered at Idiots Grace. We sat outside on a beautiful day in the shade while a wine steward brought us a sample of six wines ranging from white, rose to red. The steward described each wine in detail and mentioned a few other wines she thought we might like. Two of the wines I ended up buying (2020 Marssonne Roysanne & 2020 Dolcetta) came from grapes harvested after the 2020 Oregon wildfires which gave them a bit of a smokey flavor (which I loved). Idiots Grace is a hidden gem and I highly recommend giving it a try.“
