This time I got short ribs and pork, as usual I was more than satisfied. The portions match the price. Though I still enjoy the Mac salad every time; I do wish it was a little less mayonnaise tasting and more sweet and tangy like other traditional Hawaiian salads I've had.“

“HIGHLY recommend Dancin Vineyards for a private event. We held our 2024 annual retreat in The Residence at the top of the hill and the house is SO beautiful and comfortable, with STUNNING views! The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and staff (especially Austin) went above and beyond, even providing tabletop lamps just to make sure we had enough light to read by. Our board loved The Residence so much, we have already reserved it for our 2025 retreat. Great experience all around.“

We love to order the molcajete dish that comes sizzling in the hot lava bowl: With bacon wrapped shrimp, steak, chicken and longuisto sausage. “This is the best Thai food I’ve had. I’ve had some very bland and dry Pad Thai and this was far from that! So much flavor and perfect amount of sauce and protein. The staff were all extremely nice and quick despite dealing with a surge of people during peak dinner hours. The crab rice was also very flavorful and not at all dry, cooked perfectly. I’m happy to find special restaurants like these that shine above the awful chain restaurants that plague the city. Supporting small busiesses is important and this food was so good I’ll be coming back frequently.“

“This is some of the better foods in the area. The pancakes are huge, so bring your appetite. My main area of disappointment was service. They didn't refill our drinks, they didn't bring straws, when they come to your table ... they don't ask if you need anything else before leaving (which ultimately makes more work for them, because then they keep running back and forth between all the tables. They are nice, but just poor flow of service. Also, the pancakes 🥞 kind of came out a little cooler and not warm. They only give one syrup container per table ( we had bigger group) which only makes your pancakes colder waiting for the 1 syrup container to get passed around the table“

“Last week (August 2024) I served my dinner party a bottle of Edenvale's 2003 Syrah. I acquired the bottle almost 20 years ago and had worried that I had held onto it too long, especially since I had stored it under far from ideal conditions in several residences as I moved about during my career. But the wine was a marvel and deeply rewarding -- big and generous with beautifully integrated tannins and undiminished freshness. (I just wish I had put away more than one bottle.)“

“This restaurant was the culprit for starting me on Thai food nearly twenty-five years ago. I had to stop by this one for a reminiscence (and to get some Happy Cow points). I don’t remember the restaurant serving salad and a spring roll, but I came in when the restaurant was closing in less than half hour. I never wolfed down green curry as quickly as I did today (the record was seven minutes if you must know). It was a smaller lunch version, thank goodness. This is a rather small for Thai restaurant, but that doesn’t stop the place continuing to operate and feed the local (and former) residents. Do visit the nice small town, especially this place!“
