“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.“

“My wife and I come here for special occasions and last night we celebrated her birthday! As always, the service was excellent, food was impeccable, atmosphere was cozy, and a very enjoyable experience. It is a small place which only adds to the intimacy of service and atmosphere. The owner is a great guy who is very knowledgeable in all his dishes and wines which were incredible as well! We love C'est Si Bon and will continue to come here everytime we want to celebrate something at a special place!“

“I had a memorable dinner at Higgins Restaurant. I ordered their Oregon Mushroom Set Menu, and each dish reflected their respect for local ingredients. The wild mushroom bisque was particularly delicious, with a smooth texture and rich aroma. The waiter was very professional and attentive, explaining the background of each dish. The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal with friends or family.“

“This was really a lovely dining experience. It definitely leans into the small plate for sharing/ vibe. The dishes were really unique and pleasant. Two standouts were the miso succotash which was a real surprise, and the burnt basque cheesecake which was so lovely in taste and texture. It can be a bit loud for the older set; there is dining al fresco available. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass.“

“French food is not normally the top on my list of dining choices, but I am really glad that I took a chance on this place. The food was excellent and cute whole in the wall very French atmosphere really rounded it all off. There is limited seating and a bit tight being a small bistro of sorts, but once you get settled in and relaxed, you forget forgive the close quarters by the very French décor and feeling once you start looking around at everything. Service was friendly there, but a bit awkward at no fault to the server since she was still relatively new there and apologized for it immediately. She was sincere and did her best throughout our dining experience. Ordered the open faced sandwich which was a shrimp smorbord and it was just amazing. So beautifully prepared with such care and presentation. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Also got the mussels, which were meaty and perfectly cooked in a light herb broth. This will be a must on my return to visit list when ever in Portland next and do recommend that you give it a try if so inclined. Bon Appétit!“

“The burger here was unreal, cooked perfectly with melty cheese and crispy edges. We also split an order of Korean fried chicken, which was spicy and addictive. The restaurant had a casual vibe but felt polished at the same time. Service was quick even though the place was packed.“

“Didn't have any food, but the drinks were amazing. Boasting an excellent selection of high end alcohol of all kinds, Angel Face can provide what you want. The bartender knew their stuff and had no trouble whipping up artistic drink one after another. We had a pretty large party and showed up unannounced but they handled us with no problems. Highly recommended!“

We were looking for a light meal and glass of wine when we stopped in and found a cozy wine bar - just the ticket! Food was excellent. Wines were top notch. “Lilia is an absolute gem and my new favorite Portland restaurant. The menu changes weekly based on the freshest ingredients, and every dish bursts with bold flavors and inspiration from across Mexico. The vibe is chill and the staff are sweet and knowledgeable. Music was great (rock en español) and not too loud, so you could have a conversation at your table without yelling (yay!)
We tried the chef’s tasting menu, which included two appetizers (PNW oysters and tomato/melon salad, two large plates (mushroom barbacoa & cheese-filled corn dish and king salmon which was caught that morning) and two desserts (fig pastie and a creamy Asian pear). We also got the carnitas chilaquiles separately—highly recommend. Each dish was beautifully prepared, incredibly tasty, and unforgettable. The wine pairing ($68 per person) was thoughtfully curated and well worth it, and the cocktails were just as impressive.
Can’t wait to go back!!!!“
