The food is good but not the star of this place; it’s the many bars around the property and the property itself. It’s a repurposed elementary school and the theme is everywhere you walk in this property. Got here at 5 to get a meal before the history pub started at 7. It took over 1.5 hours for us to wrap up our meal, and we got to the history pub literally down the hall with only 10-15 minutes to spare before it started. It really should not take an hour and a half to get happy hour sliders and tots, and the restaurant was not busy when we arrived at 5. Moreover, the food was cold when it finally came out. I wish we could go back to the Kennedy over and over again. I'd love to eat/drink at every place there. This McMenamins was a great atmosphere, with solid food. The array of drink options satisfied me as well. I felt bad for our server -- he had too many tables for one person to manage well -- but when he was with us, he was helpful.
We chose to eat on the inside half of the restaurant. Both sides seemed like pleasant places to have a meal and share in a conversation.
