Spella Caffè @ Alder Street is a traditional Italian coffee spot in downtown Portland. Exquisite espresso and the interior is tiny and fancy. The decaf espresso is the most flavorful in the city. The barista was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and gave awesome recommendations for hikes and curated a foodie adventure. Service was extremely friendly and informative. Pastries are really good, the rhubarb hand pie was a great pick. Spella serves classic coffee beverages like cortado, cappuccino, and affogato, not candy sweet concoctions. A favorite is a small oatmilk latte with a spot of honey. A must stop for excellent coffee.
