“One of only top artisan pizza place still open on 1st January. We were hoping to get a table but the restaurant was fully booked out.

So we did a take out. The ambience and smell of the place really stood out. We got Funghi and Margherita and both of them was really good. Personally I liked Funghi, my date probably kept deciding till her last bite what she liked more.

I would love to be back here for dine in experience preferably and hopefully with the same company.“

“Parallel was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. Easy to make a reservation and the staff were so accommodating with all our needs. We were able to order a variety of great wines from different tastings to whole bottles. They had such a great variety of reds, whites, and orange. We also had one of everything on the menu. The food was delicious with the stand outs being the hush puppies, dumplings, and the meatballs. Great place to have a celebration or go out for some wine.“

“Heavenly Creatures is truly a gem. I’ve been here multiple times and every visit has been wonderful. The food is consistently delicious. I still daydream about their spring salad with ricotta and sugar snap peas. Their wine selection is outstanding, and the owner is incredibly personable and deeply knowledgeable about wine, which makes the experience feel special and curated.

The atmosphere is romantic and cozy with candles and mood lighting, perfect for a night out with the girls or an intimate date. The space is small, so it can sometimes be hard to get a table, but honestly, the quality and charm make it worth trying.“

“Saw an ad on Instagram about this spot and boy am I so glad I saw it! This place is so beautifully decorated and immediately sets a fun, polished, welcomIng vibe. I'm a big fan of flights so was very happpy to see that at the forefront of this menu. We went for the bubbles flight - everything was delicious and I had never had a sparkling red! For the food we tried the fondue (delish), deviled eggs, and tuna tartare (definitely the star). Service was amazing as well of course can't wait to come back and also can't believe I had never explored this area before!“

“So, I went to this place called Forte Portland just to check it out. I ended up getting a coffee, but it was completely silent in there. Not a single person was around, which was kind of relaxing, I guess. There's a piano there, but no one was playing it. And get this, the person working the counter was practically asleep when I walked up. I'm guessing it's not exactly a popular place during the day. Maybe it turns into a nice bar or something later at night.“

“Twice now I’ve eaten at Ox. I came back for the Clam Chowder with Smoked Bone Marrow as it left such a lasting impression. This time, we tried the Skirt Steak with the Radicchio & Romaine Salad. “This is our go to local wine bar. Great selection. Good prices (most are average retail price and there's corkage for opening a bottle on site. I think they waive corkage on bottles over $45 at the time I'm writing this. The food is good, I just wish they had more (intersting) veg options.“

“I stopped by this wine tasting room while visiting from out of town and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. The space is so warm and inviting. It immediately felt like the kind of spot I’d be a regular at if I lived nearby. Cozy, charming, and perfect for a laid-back evening or a quiet date night.

The wine selection was fabulous. I tried a few different pours and loved what I tried. And the food was absolutely delicious without trying too hard.

What really made the experience special was the staff. They were so kind and attentive. Friendly in a genuine way, not just polite. It felt like they really wanted me to enjoy myself, and I did.

It’s the kind of place where you can settle in, slow down, and really enjoy the experience. The vinyl music emanating with your pours is another special touch.

Owner Jeff clearly knows his wines and has curated a thoughtful collection. What makes it even better is his enthusiasm for sharing it. He’s often happy to open a bottle and pour a small taste so you can explore something new. It turns choosing a glass into more of a conversation and discovery than just ordering from a list. Also, don't forget to order the fig jam and manchego with a baguette to go with your tastings!“

Had the PB+J cabbage- sounds weird but is so tasty! The risotto was warm and savory and the cured carrots in it were so so good! Got both pasta dishes - the parsnip carbonara and the wheat berry sausage agnolotti- both were divine!
The lighting was warm and dim. The decor is dark and moody and beautiful.“

“My wife and I come here for special occasions and last night we celebrated her birthday! As always, the service was excellent, food was impeccable, atmosphere was cozy, and a very enjoyable experience. It is a small place which only adds to the intimacy of service and atmosphere. “Lombardos is on its way to being a neighborhood institution, the owner is incredibly friendly and is tipping his homage to his New Jersey pizza roots. When I went in they were sold out of everything except their bar pie. A light crispy crust with a zesty sauce and perfectly caramelized cheese. They only prep about 40 or so pies a day but the restaurant clearly has room to expand and for their sake I hope the community floods them with business until they are forced to do so. Truly reaching those east coast roots I highly recommend making the trip into St. John’s for this wonderfully done pie where you will find true beauty in its simplicity.“

“Had family in town with their kiddos and we wanted to do a night out. OP was the perfect choice. The staff was great getting a spot set up that could handle a wheelchair, stroller and energetic 3yr old.

They have a great cocktail and wine menu, but as the designated driver I stuck to the N/A drinks. Luckily they have one of my top 3 N/A cocktails- red ferrari (think negroni).

The food was fantastic. I highly recommend starting with a meat and/or cheese plate (we did both) then do a Round 2 of small plates. For us it was a few salads. All were good but I especially liked the chicories salad with Caesar-like dressing. Next we grabbed entrees. It was hard to narrow down to one option so I ended up doing a split plate situation and shared the gnocchi and the chicken plate. The gnocchi was pillowy with a perfect amount of mushrooms and carmelized onions. The chicken thigh had crispy skin and the potatoes were smooth and buttery which paired nicely with the chard.
Sadly, there was no space for dessert so I'm just dreaming of the Basque cheesecake, but guess that just means a return trip is needed.“

Ambiance was great low lighting- the best wallpaper in the bathrooms. They have a lot of wine offerings but I skipped on that. They have a bar and several tables. Their cocktails and mocktails were excellent. The cheesecake was divine. Too stuffed so I got it to go and it was just incredible. I will be back!“

“We rented out this space for our All Star Accounting Professionals Inc. Year-End Celebration. The entire process was seamless. Our questions were answered timely & in detail. The day of the celebration, we walked into the space that was so inviting, cozy, and elegant. Flowers on the tables, candles lit, and fireplace going. Connor, our bartender. went above & beyond helping us load, move tables, take off candles & flowers to use our own decorations, share lighters & chalk, and even helped some with loading our car. We were so impressed we might just book this place again next year!“
