“We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and what a treat! Our server was phenomenal and helped us make great choices for amazing food + wine pairings. The chef also accommodated my food allergies with ease. Highly recommend! We plan to return very soon.“

“We had an incredible meal here celebrating a birthday. We told our server what we planned on ordering and they recommended several different bottles of wine and different price points that would pair well with our meal. All the food was good but the stand outs were the yellowtail toast (incredible) and eggplant butter focaccia“
“Came here to celebrate my friends recent promotion. Place is very cozy and eclectic in a great way. Lovely wine selection, plenty of options without being overwhelming. Champagne list was great and reasonably priced. Staff was lovely. Very friendly and welcoming.Kept our champagne chilled for us and made sure our glasses were never empty. Will definitely be back!“

“Honestly was the best steak house I’ve been to… I liked how the waiter explained the whole process to the table, gave great recommendations & the chef gave us a free soup sample. All the food was 5/5 stars. Best steak & pork chop hands down.“

“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.“

“We can always count on Olympia Provisions to provide us with a truly pleasurable experience. The food is always impeccably prepared and delicious. The wait staff is excellent, attentive and genuinely concerned about our experience. The ambience - lighting, decor, etc is enjoyable, too. (Full disclosure: Our son was one of the architects who worked on the Olympic Mills building renovation. So we get to feel a little pride in his work while we're there.)“

“I think a couple weeks to the menu would be needed. We noticed the same garnish with caviar on both hot and cold dishes. The caviar on the hot pork chop wasn't very pleasing. The pork chop definitely needed a pineapple salsa or sauce with it to cut through the fattiness of the chop and grits.“

“I came to Parallel on Saturday to celebrate my birthday with a big group, including kids, and it was such a great experience! The staff was incredibly patient, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. It can be really hard to find a spot in Portland that works well for larger groups with kids, but Parallel made it easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!“

“Didn't have a bad bite and the service was friendly. In the realm of fine dining, Arden offers exceptional value. That's not to say that it's only about price to quality ratio though. They deliver on quality and enjoyment on a more objective level ultimately. My partner and I would both love to return. The Prix Fixe menu was a great choice and I recommend that, but either way you go I'm sure you would enjoy whatever you choose.“

“Went here as a early Mother’s Day treat with my daughter. Had the sample plate…. So delicious and we learned we liked it all! Also got a sundae….. totally recommend. For take home I got the cookies. This place is a gem! Stop by and check it out for sure if you are ever in the area.“

“We stopped in for a quick tasting. This place has a variety of wines to choose from and taste. The service was great and we enjoyed learning more about the particular wines, etc. The hummus snack was the right complement to the wine flights we had.
If you’re in the area and looking for a sip or to kill some time, def stop in!“

“Saw an ad on Instagram about this spot and boy am I so glad I saw it! This place is so beautifully decorated and immediately sets a fun, polished, welcomIng vibe. I'm a big fan of flights so was very happpy to see that at the forefront of this menu. We went for the bubbles flight - everything was delicious and I had never had a sparkling red! For the food we tried the fondue (delish), deviled eggs, and tuna tartare (definitely the star). Service was amazing as well of course can't wait to come back and also can't believe I had never explored this area before!“

“If you're downtown, don't blow it and go somewhere else to get a bottle of wine, or get a sip of something delicious.
This place is a Portland institution, for lack of a better and more casual term.
1) You will find what you need.
2) You will find a selection of local and international bottles with love and expertise that leaves you smiling.
3) You will feel at home. Get a glass here. If you sip wine from the box at home, or if you buy from the crate. It doesn't matter, you belong here.“

“Gawd…Aren’t we spoiled in Portland? Another gem discovered.
This is a meal I will remember for its simple perfection.
Haricot verts served cool with mint, almonds, pickled cherries tossed lightly in chèvre based ‘dressing’. Carrots roasted to perfection with balanced heat and sweetness served over a cloud of whipped chèvre. A meltingly tender boef steak. My idea of a perfect meal. Cocktails were delicious. A memorable sparkling rosé.
Service was impeccable. The ambience, warm, charming and romantic.“
“Awesome experience (only because of the bartender). Em, the bartender was fantastic. She was so kind and knowledgeable of the drink and food menu. She was also so good that she got us bar patrons to speak to each other as well. I love the atmosphere she created. Shes a grade A employee and I hope you pay her what she deserves! Her personality and love of her job shows so much. I only had one drink and was so impressed with Em. Give that lady a raise and hold on to her!“
“there are few places in portland to drink actually beautiful natural wine with sexy people. you want to find a new crush? you want to drink something where your heart explodes? you want to watch five people kiss? you can have it all.
staff are helpful and insightful without being cagey or snobs. also a plus they actually know what they’re talking about. for anyone who wants a cheeky drink solo, bring your new flirt, or join the collection of bar flies that share bottles for many hours across the bar. a gem and sacred place in the city, i love it here“

“It was one of our favorites in Portland. They change the mains on the menu fairly often, so not a good idea to get attached to anything special but it is always great!! Pelemini's are amazing. Deserts are always wonderful and novel. Service is incredible. Parking is easy in the lot next to the restaurant.“

“My wife and I come here for special occasions and last night we celebrated her birthday! As always, the service was excellent, food was impeccable, atmosphere was cozy, and a very enjoyable experience. It is a small place which only adds to the intimacy of service and atmosphere. The owner is a great guy who is very knowledgeable in all his dishes and wines which were incredible as well! We love C'est Si Bon and will continue to come here everytime we want to celebrate something at a special place!“

“A+ experience at Feral. Everything was outstanding and every bite was bursting with flavor and craftsmanship. Tomato Salad was such a gorgeous melange of freshness and complex sauces. Really well done. Savory Waffles and Peppers with Tofu "cheese" had this incredibly tasty backbone with each waffle bite and then the savory / sweet combo of the tofu and peppers with a little maple syrup. Tofu sandwich was a winner. Warm and crispy draped in this delicious sauce on a fresh bun. Had a few bites of the Chantrelles Pot Pie as well and it was quite good. Feral is a must eat spot in Portland for any vegan imo. Nice interior space and lighting / decor. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most excellent experience.“

“Great pho with better than most cuts of meat. My wife got the pad thai and said she enjoyed it very much. Would recommend to friends. They were also very nice to my 2.5 year old daughter and were considerate enough to bring a small bowl for her to share some of our food with.“

“This was really a lovely dining experience. It definitely leans into the small plate for sharing/ vibe. The dishes were really unique and pleasant. Two standouts were the miso succotash which was a real surprise, and the burnt basque cheesecake which was so lovely in taste and texture. It can be a bit loud for the older set; there is dining al fresco available. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass.“
“Best brunch spot in PDX! 🤍“

“We tasted a couple of flights and a glass of Pét Nat each, it was a really lovely experience. Fairly priced. Calm and cool atmosphere with some nice music. Each table has an assortment of obscure Trivial Pursuit cards which was such a fun, silly addition to the experience. We also ordered the truffle almonds to break up the wine a bit and they were very tasty.
The person who prepared our flights was very knowledgeable and friendly. This was a Sunday afternoon, I wish I could remember their name because he really did top off the experience.“
“It was love at first visit! So fun and down to earth you don’t realize you’re becoming a natural wine snob ;-)“

“My partner and I had one of the best impromptu dinners in Portland ever. I’m sorta confused by the rating on google maps. This place is truly a gem. I love the idea of sharing and having small plates so that you can try a bunch of different dishes. The star of our meal was the braised lamb. I also really enjoyed the potato onion gratin and the bread, butter, and fruity olive oil. The dark chocolate mousse was so heavenly, delicious, and so light and fluffy - it took the guilt out of us ordering dessert. Not that anyone should feel guilty having a sweet treat. Highly recommend if you want a bit of a fancier dinner in Kearns.“

“Bar Loon is nothing short of fantastic! The service, the food, the cocktails, and the space are truly lovely. It has easily become one of my favorite spots in Portland and a great place to bring folks to shake things up a bit. I can't wait to see what they have in store as they settle into such a beloved space.“
“I’m not from Portland, but this place deserves more hype. Cocktails are great ( the house Negroni is amazing ), the food was delicious ( the focaccia, the farro carrot salad, and meatballs were particularly good ) , and the ginger cake with apple compote for dessert was just insane so so good. Come here, give this place the hype it deserves.“

“Service was attentive, friendly and fast. However, they forgot two of the dishes we ordered.
The food we got was quite good. We had a bit of everything. For me, the highlights were the steak and salad.
Drinks were great.
The restaurant was not completely full, so the noise level was reasonable and we were able to talk easily.“

“I took my vegetarian significant other to Dame for his birthday and our first March dining experience. Everything was so delicious and the dining month value was good. To get the same thing a la carte would have cost $10 or so more. The food is locally sourced so seasonal dishes. My squid ink pasta was so tasty with a slight kick. And my SO wanted to “take a bucket of the salad home.” Highly recommended“

“I came for one beer and left with three new friends, a minor existential crisis, and a T-shirt I don’t remember buying. Civic Taproom is like Cheers, if Cheers had 20+ rotating taps and everyone was slightly more hipster.
The bartender had the beard of a lumberjack and the pour skills of a Michelin-star sommelier. I asked for something “hoppy but emotionally supportive,” and he nailed it. The IPA hugged my soul while whispering, “You’re doing your best.”
Also, shoutout to the bathrooms for being cleaner than my apartment. 10/10 would hide from my responsibilities here again.“
“This is another gem in the McMenamins line of fun, historical establishments - and by far my favorite! Been here many times over the years - actually even had my very first lobster roll EVER here (as a special item years ago) and it was amazing. The vibe is so quirky - you definitely feel like you’re walking the halls of your old elementary school - except there are bars and a lively restaurant and even a brewery haha!! The staff has always been super welcoming and friendly. The food at their main Courtyard Restaurant has always been great. On my last visit (July 2023), I had their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was SO GOOD!! Even their tater tots were perfectly cooked. And they even have some of the best iced tea I’ve had outside of the south! Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a treat to try something new. After eating, leave time to explore - the grounds are just gorgeous and you’ll get lost in the nostalgia as you wander around the old school’s hallways. They have several bars - one is huge and has total steampunk vibes. They have a small hotel and a salt water pool - even the bathrooms are beautiful. I’d definitely like to stay here next time - but I imagine it can be a tad spooky at night haha! The school opened back in 1915 so it’s a historic building. The wall art is gorgeous and there are lots of info signs and historical pics scattered around. It’s in a good location in north Portland with plenty of parking and easy to find. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“

“LOVE this place. Great ambience. Great food. Live DJ is a nice touch. I had the Kim Chee Fried Rice with Pork Belly. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. Nice flavor balance. Not too spicy but just enough kick from the Kim Chee. My only disappointment was the portion size. But this is a very minor thing considering the food was so delicious. I also tried the Popcorn Tofu. It's amazingly hard to find tofu fried just right and they do it well. The spice they sprinkled on it was sweet/salty with the perfect balance of flavor. Can't wait to go back.“

“A couple of times I passed by this bar/restaurant and finally when I viewed the web site, the pictures in side and out side looked very interesting. The menu looks amazing, I had to try this place out! Went in on a Saturday and sat out on the patio, very nice area and clean, the waitress said it was open seating and the menu is on the QR code on the table. I had already decided what I wanted, ordered the Czech Pils and it tastes so good! For an appetizer I ordered the Fried Green Tomato sliders but request no bun which the waitress said “not a problem”. The basil pesto aioli was so good. I am not one for raw onions but these pickled red onions were great. Fried green tomatoes were actually my first time ever eating and thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Next ordered the Pimento burger with no bun, this is were things changed, the hamburger patty was so over cooked and thin that some of the beef was crunchy. The pimento cheese is made in house along with the red pepper habanero jelly and both were delish! I substituted and had house made Cole slaw which was so good! I did order gumbo and jambalaya with chicken and sausage to take to my elderly mother as a to go. When I got the food home to her she opened each container and each order was amazing! I will defiantly go back and order something else on the menu and I am sure that I will enjoy the food and beer and this great bar/restaurant! I have found a new place to worth going back too!“

“I had one of the best dishes that I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. Upon the waitresses enthusiastic recommendation (she seemed really excited about it) I went with the Boscaiola with pasta instead of ravioli. Every bite I took I closed my eyes to just enjoy the explosion of flavors. Hands down best food ever. Highly recommend but don’t forget your reservation!“

“Randomly found this place when the restaurant we wanted to go to was booked. I was very surprised that it was inside a hotel. The food was so good with great flavor combinations. And they made an excellent old fashioned and even a fancy mocktail! I would eat here again next time I see a show at the Keller center. And easy walk to the show.“

“Dirty Pretty is a nice bar. Their bar stock has most of what's needed. The vibe is cool and the decor is stylish. They have a patio area out back. Dirty Pretty gets a bit too loud and edgy on Friday and Saturday nights but it's not a bad place to have drinks with mates or a date during off peak hours. Street parking is luck of the draw. ✌🏻 Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. -VanPort Insider“

“I wish I'd known about this place sooner! Nice wine selections, delicious snack - the salted rosemary focaccia with tomato jam was terrific! Chanelle and Haru were welcoming hostesses, and the place was a very comfortable place to just hang & enjoy being where I was. I'll definitely be recommending it to friends, and I'm looking forward to my next visit!“

“Grana is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots in Portland. The food is consistently outstanding—every dish feels thoughtful and authentic and their pizzas are so flavorful and light.
But what really sets Grana apart is the service - the staff are always polite, welcoming, and accommodating. One time our son had his bike with him, and they kindly offered to keep it inside for safekeeping (without us even asking!) —small gestures like that show how much they care about their guests.
After our last disappointing experience at the *other* “well-known” pizza place in the neighborhood, we can honestly say we’ll never go back there. Grana has everything we want—amazing food, genuine hospitality, and consistency. This is the Portland pizza place we’ll keep returning to. <3“
