“Nice, clean local place. Unfortunately, karaoke KJ insists on playing music videos between singers, sometimes as many as three videos, (ten minutes) with singers waiting. Weird. Like trying to start the party as a DJ, when everyone expects a KJ. Not great if you want to sing. Just be aware coming in. However, the KJ has the sound dialed in and it sounds great.“
“Came here for the prime rib special, it's Friday and Saturday nights. Great food, I couldn't finish it, I was too full! Prompt service, friendly staff. It's also a pub so sports on the TV's, not sure if minors are allowed in the daytime.“
“Great place. Staff is very attentive. Lots of things to do - 3 pool tables, golf, trivia, Friday karaoke, tons of TVs for all the sports games. Great event parties - Mardi Gras, St Patrick’s, Halloween, etc. They even have a popcorn machine!!!Vegetarian options: Great salads!Wheelchair accessibility: Flat, open, fully accessible even around seating, pool tables, and bathrooms.“
“Staff knows my partner and I by name. We always come get our usual drink orders and some food. Mike's a wonderful and pleasant owner always personable with his customers.Kid-friendliness: I see kids in here from time to time playing pool or darts or eating food with their folks.“
“If you come here to go the bar by the pool hall. Maddy is a dope character. However the bar by karaoke is always backed up, and the guy is rude. Often he will close the bar early due to him having a bad mood or bad night. Outside of that. The atmosphere is dope.“
“Ok yall… this place is so cozy and the FOOD IS FIRE ?!!!!! Omg the fries and burger were INSANELY GOOD .!!!!!! AND HUGE PORTIONS!! You don’t feel robbed like you do literally everywhere. …. oh and the service we got from Miss Sara =PERFECT!!!! She is so sweet and genuine!! This is the place you come to relax watch some sports , and thoroughly enjoy the food ambiance service, and over all vibe !! LOVE IT! My only regret is that I didn’t come here so much sooner!! And I live SO CLOSE.. sheesh.. LOVE this place yall!!! Love it!“
“The owner is great, and those who are complaining please keep in mind this is still a sports bar not a michelin restaurant, & men who complain about not feeling included or not enjoying women’s sports, obviously this bar was not designed for you, feel free to enjoy your 200 other bars where you are welcomed.“
“Great people and tasty beverages. The bottle and can selection is excellent, and the rotating taps are always good. What sets Civic apart is the community. Once you go, you'll keep going back. The atmosphere is unpretentious and not divey at all.“
“The beer selection is good and the mini golf is so fun. I thing to improve is the lighting, those lasers don't fit the environment. It's difficult to see the ball. The laser goes straight to your eye. I recommend playing while getting the light fixed. After the game, I got a light headache.“
“Im so happy I tried this place. I'm not vegan but my friends are. We checked this place out on Super Bowl Sunday and we all had a blast! I was able to be seated without making a reservation despite how busy it was on the Super Bowl. They made me feel like they wanted my business. Service was phenomenal, we all really enjoyed the food. The flavor was good, textures were on point and presentation was good. Its also dog friendly which is a huge plus. I would definitely go back.“
“Found this cozy bar/grill through Google as we're new to the area. We we're so warmly welcomed in, I immediately felt at home even though it's a local hang out.I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich w/Cole slaw, Wow! Yumm! The bun was perfectly toasted with the delicious BBQ pork, perfect slaw. It was The Best Bite on a cold evening! Now the fries we're definitely special! My friend ordered the Chili Cheeseburger and Oh My! So Delicious!Service was great, can't wait to come back!“
“Stopped in a couple of days ago after a long, cold hike in the rain. Even though they had finished serving coffee for the day, Jesse was so nice to make me a pour-over hot coffee - just what I needed to warm up, and such a great cup of coffee! ☺️ Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area!“
“I had seen this place from the road and was curious. I finally stopped in and checked it out. To my surprise, the taproom was quite spacious. The beer tender was very friendly. I thanked him for filling my growler, told him I liked the TV’s, and left.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.“
“The last time I was here, it was 4-4-2. Before that, it was a small grocery store and a place to get a quick bite. I'm glad that the new owners decided to keep the soccer theme to it. The new staff is friendly and welcoming, the environment is fun, there's always something playing on the TV. Haven't tried the food, so I won't speak on that. If you're a fan of soccer or any other sport, this is the place for you.“
“Parking: There is a parking lot that can fit about 10 cars. There is street parking..becuz the place is busy most of the time it is at times hard to park. But if you like to walk. There is always a place to park on Atlantic St.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is wheelchair accessible.“
“Great place for pool and a great drink. Tasha, Lisa, well all of them are great at what they do! They all are fun to talk to. My husband loves their food. He usually eats it all before I can even get a taste ? pool tables are kept nice and clean. The overall crowd is a good one. I’ve had some good conversations with many regulars and newbies.“
“I'd been desperately looking for a place near the stadium to get chicken wings. There seems to be very few. Finally, I stumbled upon Champions. I took a bar seat. The place was clean and comfortable. The wings were great. The bar tender was friendly and easy going. She made me a great old fashioned. The guy sitting next to me told me how to get onto the trivia night website and I played trivia and enjoyed good food, good company, and a relaxing atmosphere. Seems like a perfect after- work type of place!“
“One of the few sports bars around Portland with a good food menu, good drink selection, and an expanse of TVs viewable from virtually every seat.Service can be slow and last time I was in, I ordered Buffalo Trace, but got served something else (tasted like Knob Creek). Wasn’t given the itemized receipt, only the CC signature copy, so I’ll never know for sure… but I’m 99% it wasn’t Buff Trace. Either way, I’m not about to send back a poured glass of bourbon, because my pretension has its limits. Just always seems to be one or two reasons the staff give me every visit which keeps me from giving them a 5/5. They’re friendly as all hell though.“
“Friendly local sports bar. Above average food w/ great specials! One of the few places of its kind that has halibut fish and chips. Service is very good. As expected the noise level can be high in the evening, but they do have a quieter booth area away from the bar if you want.“
“Been visiting a few years now.Great happy hour food menu. One of my go to's is the White Cheddar Mac & Cheese made with cavatappi noodles and white cheddar cheese (like home-made).I add the grilled chicken on top.Well....menu changed to boxed mac & cheese, so disappointing!!!!The grilled chicken helped flavor but the noodles.....you know, wimpy noodles from a box.Too bad!First photo is of recent mac and cheese...notice the elbow noodles and the cheese sauce. The second and third photos are of previous mac and cheese orders with cavatappi noodles and real cheese.Parking: Tight parking spaces but lots of them“
“I just want to say that Buffalo wild wings doesn't have anything on this place. The wings are better the service is better actually everything is better just saying. They got family game nights and I don't have to use any sauces with my wings. Their alcoholic drinks are on a rotating system which is actually PRETTY AMAZING because you don't get the same thing twice they always have something new. These guys are the best“
“Loud and vibrant on a blazers game night exactly like you'd expect. Food is... Odd? I mean, nachos are edible in any case but not terribly exciting and strange choices.Definitely has a great vibe to get a pitcher of beer and hangout for a bit. Huge projector, lots of bar games, and generally positive vibes across the board.“
“Love The Dugout. Service is great. Friendly staff. We come here every week and we feel like family. Kaylee is absolutely amazing. She alone is a reason to stop by. So friendly. Feel like we have been friends for years. Food is priced right. Wings and tots are worth it. Karaoke is fun and low pressure. This is our spot.“
“A good sports bar to go to when in the downtown Portland area. They have plenty of TV playing sports. We came to watch a game and had some happy hour. The service is pretty good for being how busy they were. The happy hour food is decent. I did enjoy their smash burger and fries.“
“Very laid back place to go for food and drinks. Visited at lunchtime and had the halibut fish and chips. Very good. It tasted great and very fresh. Prices were reasonable, and the service was great. Very Hometown feel to it. I see they have live music on a few nights. So, I have to check it out.“
“Food was not bad, had the blue cheese burger which was good, but the mac and cheese could use an upgrade for sure. Service was great, really friendly each time. And it might be the only place I've seen that isn't jacking up their prices... yet. Same burger and fry is about $4- $5 more at Clancys for “
“Did takeout of a simple gyro. Tasted amazing. Very filling with generous portions.I didn't stay in the place itself for long as I took to-go, but I enjoyed the homey ambiance while it lasted. Would easily be a place I would want to spend longer at.“
“Best service, they will remember you and what you order. It's like you're part of the team, the close experience like your're not just a check. Even when short handed they smile. Tabitha is great too.Kid-friendliness: Sports bar but allows kids at dinning area. No foul language even though adults are drinking. It's respectful.“
“We came in during sandwich week, having been in numerous times before, and once again were blown away by the warm environment and welcoming experience. The food was good. The beer is cold and fresh, and the staff were crushing it. Need to make a point to come support these folks if you haven’t. ?“
“Fun atmosphere with lots of TV’s for all of the football. Portable, lottery and pinball. Simple eats but good. Bar was quick and solid. Bartender was friendly and service was him and also good. We had cocktails and nachos and watched some football. Nice stop in after walking around Multnomah Village. Food carts down the street. Parking is a bit dicey with no parking lot but we lucked out with parking right in front. Tons of pedestrians so keep an eye out.“
“i have never met a bartender as intuitive and creative as nick. i came in after a shift as a fellow bartender needing something but completely drained with ideas and he knew exactly what i needed without me having to articulate it verbally. his creativity with custom cocktails is unmatched and he deserves his flowers over and over! river pig will now be my new after work spot soully based off of his service.“
“The service was great from bartender and chef came out to meet us. Special for Super Bowl was bbq ribs, potato salad, beans and cornbread. All authentic and delicious! Several of the patrons started up conversations with us and the entire afternoon was Fun. This was my first visit and I will return.“
“Jimmy’s is a great neighborhood spot where everyone is welcome. The bartenders are friendly professionals, they have ALL the sports, including NFL Sunday ticket. No matter the time of year and/or one’s sports preferences, they always know what people want to watch, and have cool vibe tunes playing when there’s not a big game on. The food is mostly average bar food, but the specials and homemade soups are legit. The hand battered chicken tenders are one of my guilty pleasures. Also recommend the hummus plate, and 2 for $4 Taco Thursday ?“
“Great little pub. The fish and chips were great and filling. The place was busy but not overly noisy. Since it was Saturday, the televisions were tuned into a variety of football games and one screen entertained with a trivia game. We will definitely visit again.“
“lindsey(i think?) is flat out amazing- she’s hilarious, professional, friendly in a sincere-not-forced way, she made my first time at the bar a very enjoyable one. she suggested some food items but i stuck with pbr’s. next time, food- so i can update my ratings/review.“
“Great local sports bar! The interior is smaller, but there is usually outdoor seating as well. The food is fantastic- best oyster shooters in Portland. If you order anything, trust me, get the damn shooters. You’ll love them. Steak bites are also great and served with real horseradish.Drinks are strong and the staff is awesome. I love this place!“
“I love the people here, and the food has improved in recent years. That being said, it's one of those weird bars that takes "sports bar" way too seriously.Parking: Parking is near impossible. No lot, and the streets are surrounded by apartment buildings with inadequate parking for their tenants.“
“I recommend "Sushi Boom" for an exceptional dining experience. With its inviting ambiance and attentive staff, Sushi Boom offers a diverse menu of fresh and expertly crafted sushi. The chef's special rolls, like the Sushi Boom and, are a must-try, showcasing creativity and flavor combinations. The sashimi selection is top-notch, featuring high-quality fish. The restaurant emphasizes quality ingredients and presentation, ensuring each dish is a delight to the senses. Kid friendly and that's worth the visit. It's a gem for those seeking an authentic and delightful sushi experience.“
“Listen:First time in, and honestly it’s not my normal type of place. Being from the south and moving here, I don’t expect much from an early morning breakfast dive. Waffle House doesn’t exist here, (and also doesn’t serve perfect bloody Marys)but this is the closest I’ve gotten to it. The bartender was perfect. Anna? This lady made me the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever put in my mouth. This place feels like home.-A Homesick Southerner“
“Great place for bad weather smoking (good patio shelter). Nix the tenders. Up the spice! ? Not home cooking but the "mistake" onion rings and burger best so far. The one that doesn't know what she's talking about ? suggested some rice thing. Maybe next time.“
“Been going here for years. Menu and food is better then one would expect from a sports bar. Pool tables, karaoke on weekends, lottery games etc. Fun place!Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible. Restrooms recently remodeled. Very easy for wheelchair to navigate“
“Driving from California, needed fuel, missed the turn, went over freeway, turned around, stopped at a gas station, ready to get going again, saw dive bar, it said open on the sign, went in, everybody watching sports, didnt realize it was sunday cause driving 3 days, nice girl", approaches us as we just sat ourselves cause we were just tired, asks if we'd like something, mentioned a special, brought my beer quickly as i traded driving with my friend, "A very large Stella Draft?, had wings, tipped her well,AND THEN ...ON THE ROAD AGAIN...Home.Perfect place, clean, better than good food, atmosphere was easy, all types were in there. That's the mark of a good place.. check it out..“
“Amazing spot super chill this place has everything, locals, bamboo plants and foliage on the patio, heaters outside, plastic chairs that look like wood, quiet time, sports games on the screens, hipsters who bring their own pool ques, video lottery in a dark place and wood tables that look like survivors from hurricane Katrina. This bar begs the question did you you come here to drink or to feel alive.“
“Great breakfast. I have been going for years and like so many other things that have been ruined by our current society. There is no more customer service. But if you want good food and don't mind going up to the bar every time you want something. Then check it out. Don't leave any valuables in your car!“
“I love everything about this place, like how the kids gotta go around 9 pm, to every single ingredient is as fresh as can be on the menu, to the menu itself, if only they had steaks, with a name like Buffalo Gap, you'd think there would be a legit 1 and a half inch thick steak on the menu somewhere, but I am not going to hold that against them with everything else they do almost perfectly! Love this place. 5/5“
“Memorial service for Jerry Sterns. Large group of people, but they managed to transfer from the service to setting up tables for eating. Two lines that moved quickly and the food tasted good as well as pleasing to the eye. Tony Baker was in charge and had many helpers. Job well done.“
“I use to frequent more when I lived close by. We came in this weekend and it’s still a great spot! We love us some Gina! Food is always great! Bathrooms are always clean. Lotto machines pay if you’re patient. And they all have quiet cars ? thanks for a great Sunday! Me and my family and friends appreciate you all!“
“Excellent quality Ceasar salad, I only wish the croutons were home made, but a really tasty salad, homemade dressing and the chicken was good quality, live they toss the the dressing for you. And as ALWAYS service is friendly ?Don't forget to squeeze the lemon patrons! Thanks Jolly Crew“
“Best place in town, I love coming here with my girlfriend for date night. I highly recommend the Moroccan Coffee and the Fettuccine Alfredo (when it’s on special). The G&Ts are great too. I would give six stars if I could because of the ring game on the patio. There are also TVs and slots. Pretty much all anyone could ask for from a Bar and Grill. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Found myself in a pub for breakfast. First time for everything. I ordered French toast with some country potatoes on the side. Everything was good. The sausage is really fat, pretty tasty. My friend got biscuits and gravy and he said it had a little kick. The music playing was familiar and kinda "old school" as some may say at a reasonable level, Phil Collins and the like. We only drank water since we had coffee beforehand. Comfortable atmosphere and very relaxed. I observed some people working on their laptops and on the phone so I assume WiFi is available. I was having my tires rotated and replaced across the street so this was very convenient. Our server was very sweet and had cool jewelry that I appreciated. Tip well folks :D Definitely check it out, they have board games for groups of friends and tables to accommodate as well as trivia nights. There is outdoor seating available as well.“
