“My daughter and her friend walked down to the cafe yesterday while I worked nearby and one of the employees gave them a second meal for free and it was super sweet. My daughter was blown away by the gesture and super grateful. So, thank you to whomever that was that took care of my daughter and her friend. I love this community so much. They also said the food was amazing“

“Clearly a local haunt based on who we same come through and where we got the recommendation. The food was great (loved the curry soup!). Definitely sit at the bar adjacent to the cooking area to watch the process, all steam cooking, exclusively electric, and the owners are very friendly.“

“I have never eaten an oyster I’ve liked until I came here. The oysters in black bean and ginger sauce were AMAZING. The broth it came in was fantastical, and the entrees were even better with the Mongolian stir fry and crispy chicken coming out piping hot and really tasty. Everyone was really pleased with the food, the service was beyond friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. Cannot wait to come here again.“

“When it’s cold and rainy out I find myself dreaming of the organic pork ramen. It’s seriously the best ramen I’ve ever had. The broth is so savory, with warm notes of ginger and spice. The dumplings are delicious. The waitstaff is always kind and attentive. If you haven’t tried this place already it’s absolutely worth a visit! 10 stars!“

“Great service, great food, great coffee, and great desserts (mostly). If you can eat regular food, you're golden ?Dietary restrictions: Keep in mind: Sugar-Free desserts are NO SUGAR ADDED (which is important for diabetics and other special diets) and the Gluten Free desserts taste HORRIBLE (first time in my life I didn't finish dessert).“

“Stayed in Newport a few days and came here with my wife for dinner and a few beers. First off, the beers were solid. I tried several. The hazy was very good and I'm not normally a hazy guy. The Dungeoness ipa was good, as well as the stout. The tangerine wheat was just ok, I wouldn't order it again. And then they had a guest mango sour on tap that was very good too! Good enough that I ordered it a second time when we came back two nights later. And yes, we came back two nights later, because the food was very good too. Not too pricy, good portions. The first night I had the pulled pork grilled cheese and some clam chowder. The grilled cheese had a mustard on it that balanced the flavors perfectly. The chowder was solid too. Wife got the elote bowl. It was pretty good, we both wished there was more cotija cheese, but other than that, she enjoyed it. The next time, I got the Rodeo Burger with fries. Just a good bbq burger, nothing too fancy. And then the wife got the calimari bowl. It was MASSIVE. She loved it, I ate her leftovers the next day and still didn't finish it all. Service was friendly. Looks like they have some outdoor seating in front next to the parking lot. The inside has some cool art on the walls. The chairs sit high up and are pretty comfy. Friendly atmosphere overall. This is about as rock-solid of an experience as you can ask out of a brewery. Nothing blew me away, but everything was just good! I'll come back here if we stay in Newport again.“

“It was the only restaurant open past 9pm on Mother's Day, as we drove into town for the night. Our server was very sweet and helpful. She checked on us a couple times. The cook brought out our food and was nice too.I was happy they had a Plant based burger option! I was worried I wasn't going to get dinner. My husband enjoyed his regular burger. Tater tots and potatoes rounds were extra. The bar/restaurant was clean and bright. The only thing that bugged me was they kept their door open, so the cigarette smoke was coming in. So we moved tables, but it still followed.Other than that, we enjoyed our food and drinks.“

“We’ve determined that there are a few really nice, casual dining places here in Newport. Newport Brewing Company is one of them!First off, the murals in this establishment are fabulous!Casey was our server. She’s everything you want in in a server; bright, bubbly, knowledgeable and super efficient! We shared an order of waffle cut, sweet potato fries, and recommend them!I had the Elote Bowl and it was exceptional. Mr. Wonderful had the fish sandwich. We had a 4 flight and it was hard to decide which beer to pick - since they were all so damn delicious!Great service, awesome atmosphere, beer, and food! Don’t miss this spot,“

“Space was amazing, service was fast and pleasant. Food came quick and was amazing! Not a lot of conversation once we started eating, after talking about how awesome the presentation was. The flavors were popping! Had to take serious time with each bite to appreciate all the flavor and yumminess. We will definitely be back, a lot! Thank you!“

“Great cafe offering reliably tasty breakfast food and espresso. As a vegetarian I enjoy the potato tornado and would like to try their veggie breakfast burrito next time. My partner enjoyed the spicy breakfast sandwich. Friendly staff and good prices!“

“We had lunch there on the porch (dogs allowed) and were quite happy with meal, service and atmosphere. We had shrimp melt and salmon sandwich and both were good. Servers also gave our Pomeranian a choice of hard and soft treats. We hope to go back.UPDATE a year later and Pacific Kitchen is still doing great! We had crab cakes and fish tacos plus clam chowder. Excellent food and very good service (once again).“

“One of my favorite Thai places to eat, however they're always closed when I come by because they closed during the afternoon and don't open again until 4:30. So they're really losing a lot of business from people who want to eat during those times I would think. About 50% of the time or more they're closed what I'm hungry and I want to go in there.“

“The medium pizza special was only $15 and it was worth EVERY penny and more. Next time I’m at the beach this will be my stop. The atmosphere is nice and casual and the servers at the register were very kind. Great family owned pizza restaurant “

“We went to Sorella for our wedding anniversary. We shared a half Caesar salad which was plenty as a starter. We both chose their Chichen Parmesan which was wonderful with a glass of their house Sangiovese wine. Excellent service and atmosphere. A great place for Italian dinner.“

“My wife and I visit the Oregon Coast frequently and we always swing through Newport and stop at Gino's. My wife loves Clam Chowder and this is her absolutely favorite that she has found so far. Not only did we eat here for lunch, but she got some to go to eat again later at the hotel.I'm not super into seafood so I had a hamburger meal and it was very good. So, there is a little something for everybody here and it is quality good. The vibe is great. It's in the heart of Newport's Historic Bayfront. It has seating both inside and outside. We sat outside on a nice day and we enjoyed it. When you are done eating, there is plent of shopping to do or you can also walk down the street and watch the Sea Lions. We will most certainly be returning customers. My wife demands of it. :)“

“A hidden gem off the Oregon Coast highway. The inside was a bit tight, but the food and service here was outstanding. I tried the clam chowder soup and fish 'n chips and they were amazing! There were plenty of clams in a creamy broth, the fish was light and flaky, and the fries were awesome - very tasty! One of the best chowder and fish 'n chips along the Oregon Coast - a must try!Parking: Ample parking in front of the restaurant.“
“Well-built homes in a beautiful setting. I love the walking paths and dog park.“

“The food here felt healthier than other Chinese places I've been to in the past. The vegetables were fresh and the food wasn't overloaded with food coloring. That being said, my Kung Pao tofu could have used more flavor. The vegetable fried rice was pretty good. As per the other reviews, the fried shrimp is amazing! The outside of the building is interesting to look at. I like it. Inside, it's well lit but the booths seem like they could use replacing or refurbishing. The lotto rooms were clean, as were the bathrooms which isn't as common as it should be.The service was awesome. I had two servers who were extremely attentive. My drink was never empty and the food came out quickly.I'm not sure I'll be enthusiastic to go back, but the food gets the job done if you're hungry. It was also reasonably priced.Vegetarian options: There are classic Chinese dishes made vegetarian, including vegetarian hot pot! (I did not confirm meat-veggie cross contamination but the menu says they accommodate vegans so I'd expect that they don't cross contaminate).“

“Wow are the pancakes good here, but the hash browns are a little on the oily side. This location gets very busy so expect a wait during peak times. I'll keep going back when passing through Newport and needing a bite for breakfast or lunch; it certainly beats other options available in town.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide open lanes between tables and accessible bathrooms.“

“This is a quiet gem! Family friendly, with a small lounge and gambling room that's attached to a candy shop. Did someone say Peanut Brittle?!Delicious menu, amazing staff, and a nice environment for a meal. They have pretty fast service for being a restaurant and offer take out.We were in Newport for 6 months and dined here quite frequently as it was nearby, good service, decent prices, and the absolute best service. We visited as strangers new to town and left as friends with the staff. I can't recommend this place enough. 10/10 recommend.“

“Food & drinks: We came in for lunch on a rainy day and we're not disappointed. The gentleman who helped us was knowledgeable and friendly. The blackened salmon sandwich was so tasty - a big hit at our table. The batter fried prawns were plump, sweet and juicy. Where the batter wasn't crispy all over, the crunch parts were extra delish. We both enjoyed the tots and a variety of sauces (ranch. Smoky ranch, tartar and cocktail - the last two arrived with the prawns) and we'll likely go back again.Interesting note... The giant skeleton in the yard seems to have lost his last forearm. This isn't humerus, folks! ?“

“I can’t even get over how yummy it was. They make their own tarter sauce - fresh and like I’ve never tasted before - the clam chowder - to die for and don’t even get me started on that Marion berry cobbler and our precious Julie - our waitress who has worked there 35 years. Amazing authentic dining experience. I wanna move to Newport No wonder they are 80 years strong. They know food.“

“A somewhat rustic roadhouse vibe greets one when entering the Szabo's Steakhouse. As are most establishments on the central Oregon coast... to be found, rustic. We were promptly greeted by a super friendly server who allowed us to choose our preferred seating. We were having a celebratory birthday lunch for my best buddy and this steakhouse did NOT disappoint! I had the Reuben with fries and he had the Halibut fish and chips. My buddy is a rock solid, farm raised meat and potatoes Irishman - who is the pickiest eater I have ever met. But, he loves properly done fish and chips! The portions were generous and piping hot when they arrived at our table - within minutes of our ordering. My Irish friend tore into his plate with great enthusiasm and all but licked the plate clean! Nary a complaint was to be heard from his topically vulgar 69 year old mouth! He wiped away his whiskers, smiled and stated, "Now, I'm ready for a nap!" He yawned continuously until I dropped him off at his door, in Waldport. I was happy he had a solid lunch for his birthday. My Reuben was spot on delicious! Both pieces of bread were properly crusted and the fillings were tender and bursting with flavor! The fries were fried in fresh oil and nothing was greasy! My only complaint was their tea. I could easily taste the fact that the tea is stored in a container that can't be frequently cleaned. So, I only indulged the first sip and passed on the rest. Having said that, it's practically impossible to have "the perfect meal" here on the coast. Bad tea? No worries. The food and everything else was fantastic! Well worth every Penny for my cranky old buddy!“

“Ate here with some friends from work on a Friday night 7pm-9pm and it was a really relaxed, calm, almost cosy atmosphere. Servers were attentive but left us alone to chat and enjoy our food. Huge servings. Hot, fresh, tasty food reasonably priced. Scrumptious cocktails as well. Would recommend for a quieter place to eat, for sure. Will be back!“

“Went Tengu Sushi in Newport a small Japanese restaurant rihhg on the 101 hwy.Ordered the Jalapeno Tempura, a Godzilla roll (pictured below), and some eel and octopus sushi. The food was really great the atmosphere was quiet, the restaurant was empty except for us, the service was slow (though they have signage explaining that), and our server did not seem knowledgeable or even able to understand some of the menu item questions we had.All in all, if and whenever I return to Newport, I will make it a point to eat here again.“
