“We came in for fry bread tacos thank that are no longer on the menu. The menu was on the short side. We went for the Caesar salad with chicken, a breakfast biscuit, and pork belly tacos. The Caesar salad was great, and we really appreciate it that it was more of a chopped salad, with smaller pieces of lettuce that was easier to eat with a fork. The pork belly tacos were excellent. The tortillas were lightly fried, the sauce was sweet and sticky, and the pork belly was cooked correctly. The biscuit sandwich was also good. It came with jam, which was a bonus, but there was not enough of it. The eggs tasted almost steamed, they were so fluffy. The potatoes on the side, however, were awful. They taste like they have been cooked the day before refrigerated and then dropped in the deep fry. They were overly soft, and greasy, but not crispy. The service was fantastic, and the bartender/waitress was friendly focused. The bathroom was absolutely spotless. This could be because we came very early in the day. If you use the bathroom, make sure to look up because there’s a cool branch and light art display on the ceiling.I return to this restaurant with friends and family.“
“I ordered the Greek salad and it was absolute perfection! The meat that they use is absolutely delicious. I will be back for the salad again! My boyfriend always gets the super gyros and he has no complaints. Also, he has ordered the loaded fries multiple times and loves them. Food quality is great, fresh and everything taste delicious.“
“Mr. P's is and has always been the number one spot to unwind after a long week. This evening Charlie was on point. When I arrived she had all the guest ls taken care of and a smile on her face! It was the best part of my day. The food is wonderful, the service is top notch and the drinks are perfect. The atmosphere was just what I needed. ?????? “
“My food was perfect diced eggs and ham with hash browns biscuit and gravy me and my mom split the eggs and the hash browns and then she took the biscuits and gravy and I took the toast and we still had too much food and it was only $14.24 it really looks like we had two separate meals and all we did was half a meal Fairfield was very good“
“Always love the coin jam. The menu has changed a bit since last went- still delicious, just different. Also feel like there are fewer beers on tap than there used to be. Service was still awesome, and the atmosphere is super fun. I'll certainly be back again.“
“This place is amazing! If you are ever in Salem you have to stop here. Everything we had was delicious. I only wish I would have taken a picture and ordered extra for the road. Our family had two different omelets, blueberry pancakes, and cinnamon roll pancakes. It was so good. The bread is all homemade. They have homemade jam that comes with it which is super yummy. Even the fruit cup was great. We could not stop eating even when we were stuffed. I highly recommend the cinnamon roll pancakes. I'm still thinking about them and wishing I didn't live 2,000 miles away. The service was great. The restaurant is super cute but a little cold so you might want to grab a jacket. But seriously, don't pass this place by.“
“A group of us went to the restaurant and enjoyed a very good breakfast.Looking forward to going back soon, I highly recommend White's restaurantParking: Get there early because parking goes fast. It fills up with a lot of people for breakfast on Friday“
“Had a great lunch here w some friends. Sassy’s was super accommodative to our group and had wonderful food and great service. Really appreciated the ability to get in and out quickly and have a great meal. Thanks!!!! Good gluten free options.“
“Little Louie's is great for our lunch and learn presentations as they serve great food, provide awesome service, deliver, and are reasonably priced. Thank you for going upon and beyond on my recent order. See note below with your thoughtful substitute. The no bake was delicious ?“
“Went there today and the guy working was so nice.. he literally is a quesadilla genius.. the best thing I have ever had in Salem so far.. definitely recommend going there and trying them if you haven’t already.. p.s the Sith Lord is the best thing ever.. make it a menu item“
“2nd Edit. I picked up the new Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and it's a banger. Thank you so much!Edit: Below was my original post and this one you are reading now is my current new post. The Half Penny got ahold of me the next day after reading my review and wanted to correct my food experience.I give them 5* all around for owning up to the mistake that may have happened and they went ABOVE and BEYOND to correct it. They gave me a gift Certificate to try out their new recipe and I'm excited to try it! You never get this kind a generosity that i recieved after the fact. Thank you so much The Half Penny.----------Prev post: I put in special notes for a ToGo order on a Chicke Fettuccine Alfredo pasta and in the noted "Extra creamy please and thank you so much" and I ended up just eating oil slathered pasta. No flavor at all.Parking: Parking is parking. Be patient, Show up on time or expect to be late. It's not The Half Penny's fault everyone shows up last minute during dinner hours. Can't blame them for having the best prime rib on the weekends.“
“I went for the first time yesterday and I was so impressed! The atmosphere is nice and open, they play great music, the food is absolutely delicious- we got the smash burger and a duck leg special they had going, everything was just perfect. Staff was super sweet and helpful too. 10/10 recommend. I will be back for sure.“
“This was a great reminder of how inviting and nice family restaurant's are supposed to be! Tina was terrific and made our family feel welcome with her wonderful service. Having traveled from Florida to see family for the holidays, her friendly smile and inviting disposition complemented the hot food and delicious dessert. It's good service like this that makes me want to move the family back home. Thank you for the tasty food and reminding me of the feeling of family establishment's like those from years ago.“
“My wife and I stopped by while passing through Salem. WOW! How lucky we were. The restaurant is well maintained, spotlessly clean, and had a nice modern vibe. The breakfast menu was robust, service was fast, and the food came hot from the grill. I got the everything skilled which was layered with flavor and the biscuit was delicious. I wish we lived in Salem in order to eat there more often.“
“this place is 100/10- my leftovers couldn’t even fit in the to go box & that was after myself AND my husband ate off my plate!!! (pulled pork nachos - SO GOOD) great customer service, great drinks, great atmosphere, great food, great EVERYTHING!!!!!“
“Got stuck in Salem when my car broke down on i5, found this hole in the wall while waiting for a ride. $11.00 for an absolutely bangin blue cheese burger with fries???? Up in Portland it would run me 18! Great food, awesome prices, friendly staff. Definitely “
“My friend and I came here tonight for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Met the owner who was bubbly, sweet, and eager to help. We ordered our food, I got a passion fruit boba, shrimp salad rolls, and coconut shrimp. My friend got drunken chicken with chicken. Our food took awhile to make, but we weren’t in a rush! Each item came our fresh and extremely tasty! Mina offered boxes and we gladly took our food. She told me what to do in case my salad rolls dried out and helped individually wrap each roll.Prices were great for the area, quality of food, and amount of food. We were the only diners sitting inside the establishment which honestly shocks me. There was one pick up order and one drive through order, but not many customers. I’m hoping that 7:00pm on a Tuesday is normally slow, cause there’s no reason she shouldn’t be more busy! The music was catchy, the dining room was festive and inviting, and the wonderful fresh smells from the kitchen make me want to eat everything she can make!! Can’t wait to come back again :)“
“I have many years of experience at South lib I was on the pool team for 8 years great staff great drinks really really good food their breakfast is really good plan on getting a bloody Mary with it! They Have Sunday ticket so you can get your football groove on, Karaoke most days of the week and great live music on the weekends. Oh and don't forget to come to our live jams 3rd Thursdays!Peace“
“As a displaced Southerner, I approach BBQ in the PNW with caution. Two bites into the pork belly and I was instantly a ten-year-old again eating the food my father and uncles worked for days to prepare. The Vault is what happens when Down Home Comfort Food meets haute cuisine - homemade, fresh, extremely generous portions of authentic, perfectly prepared fare. The BBQ is phenomenal and the sides are delicious as well. Corn was still snappy, the fries were hot even delivered, and the tacos are phenomenally flavorful without being loaded down with spice. Try the jalapeno poppers which are *obviously* hand made! The burgers are juicy and freshly-made to grilling perfection, and the Alabama white sauce will knock your socks off. The prices are ridiculously low, as I would happily pay twice the asking for the generous portions and extremely high quality of ingredients ... not to mention the obvious love, skill, and pride that go into the food. Bonus: no Styrofoam containers here, but reusable aluminum pans that just need a quick wash packed skillfully to avoid using too much container. And where else can you play cribbage while enjoying your food and superbly crafted cocktails?“
“Today, I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Santiam Wine and Bistro. The ambiance and aesthetics here are truly special for Salem, offering a unique flavor that's hard to find elsewhere. The French Onion soup was simply exquisite, and the mushroom lasagna was equally delightful. Pairing my meal with a glass of red wine felt like the perfect finishing touch!I must mention that Courtney's warm and welcoming service added to the overall experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, and I highly recommend this place to others“
“Venti was the loveliest server...he rocked out on the Lyre, ive never seen someone more drunk in my life. 10/10 show sad he drank my drinks before they got to me thoA strange man with an eyepatch and blue hair sat brooding in the corner all night“
“My mom and I went in there this morning for the first time and had the biscuits and gravy we did a half an order because of the full order would be too big for us at a side of bacon we give it a 10 The biscuits was from scratch the sausage gravy tasted wonderful now we're going to go back and try a hamburger probably next week very friendly waiter our only complaint was it's a little cold in there but the food was nice and hot and the coffee was hot and we asked for decaf and he brewed a fresh pot so we give it a 10“
“We are from Hawaii and decided to go to Best Little Roadhouse , it was great! Our waiter Gary was the best! His service was over and beyond, great personality and very attentive! Food was excellent! Please try this place out and ask for Gary, tell him the Hawaiians sent you!“
“First thing I noticed when I walked in was how beautiful and serene the woodwork and lighting is. I love the set up, lots of pool tables. Owner rocks and will remember your name and drink after just one visit. Great food, beer has clean lines. Wonderful variety in menu. Couldn't ask for more! Plenty of parking. Very clean bathrooms! Will not disappoint!“
“I get it now. We had two garlic shrimp tacos, two asada, two cowboy, a chicken quesadilla, Miss Piggy burrito, and two strawberry chai horchatas. Wow!! The meat was super fresh, loved the plump, tasty shrimp, and the horchata was like Christmas come early. The strawberries were super fresh and the horchata was too. Loved the sweet staff and am so glad we can come here for a simple, delicious lunch❤️“
“Haven't been out for breakfast in years, decided to treat ourselves to some this morning. Great service, even were accomodating when I asked for my hashbrowns inside my bacon and cheese omelette how I used to get it. Generous with the delicious gravy!“
“Everything was delicious. I had the Fettuccine with Salmon, a peach mojito, a glass of house red, and coffee and cheesecake for dessert. Food was right on par (pun intended) and the service was terrific as always. Thank you to the entire Magnolia team- bravo! Congratulations- you got this! :)“
“Had the Philly Cheddar, my niece had the Cesar salad. My sandwich was a bit dry, but was served hot and had great flavor. My niece enjoyed her salad and we shared a piece of the Tuxedo cake for desert. Service was fast and friendly, and we were able to sit and catch up without being rushed. Great view of the runway.“
“The fries are top notch, the meats were good, veggies were grilled to perfection. The bread could have been a little thinner for me, but itnwas good bread. The service and atmosphere was perfect, the staff we had was friendly and attentive. Plus, when you pay, you get the warmest Bic pens in town ?Parking lot is a little small and crammed, but where there is a will, there is a way“
“The first time eating at the Taste of Hawaii, we were there having a birthday, we had some for the best Hawaiian food since visiting Hawaii big plate of food wonderful service we will definitely be back and we will tell friends thank you for giving us a great “
“I've had food from Angie's twice and both times were delicious! First time we ate in and had a great dinner and Angie was really nice and offered great service. For a large family bday party, we had chicken and steak fajitas with corn tortillas (+ fresh salsas & pico de gallo,) for 25 people. Everyone loved it, had multiple helpings and raved about how good it was! Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!We have enjoyed Angie's food on two occasions-- the 1st time, we ate at the restaurant and everything was super tasty and Mrs. Angie was very friendly. The 2nd time, we ordered chicken and beef faijitas (with fresh sauces, pico de gallo, handmade corn tortillas!) for a family birthday party for 25 people. Everything was incredibly delicious and everyone loved it. Super, super recommended and without a doubt, we would return!“
“We booked a table through the website on a Saturday night. Upon arrival, we were welcomed and seated. Our waitress was Leah and she was fantastic! She helped me pick out a Riesling, which was delicious. All of our food came out fresh and absolutely delightful in flavor. Hands down, a great impromptu date night restaurant!Update: Visited again for the BIL's birthday. Food was just as fantastic as ever, and Dylann was a delightful waiter. We have absolutely no troubles with wait times. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a lovely night out.“
“At first I was frustrated. A server was just coming back to the counter to check people out. I understand that but it would have been nice to have been acknowledged. Even just a "hi there! Ill be with you in just a few"We waited 10 minutes before anyone asked us if we'd been helped. That aside. Once we were seated, the service was wonderful. My kiddo even got to pick a car to play with and take home. I was dining with my 6 year old. I got the country fried steak (with extra Gravy. It's who I am. I can't help it). And he got the single pancake with bacon. I got coffee and he asked for lemonade. I was stoked that we had our own water carafe. And then my own coffee pitcher. And let me just say. The coffee was delicious. Like so incredibly good. The menu says the lemonade is made inhouse and the taste reflects that. It was really tasty and perfectly balanced. Our food arrived and I loved everything. I just wish I'd known the bacon was pepper covered as neither of us are fansNext time I will know to ask for no pepper. The country fried steak was cooked so perfectly and the breading was delicate but not. Just amazing. My eggs were cooked exactly how I asked them to be as well. The sourdough toast?!? Like it just kept getting better.I also tasted my kiddos pancake, and wow. It was really delicious as well.So glad that we tried a new breakfast spot. We will definitely be back!“
“Basic sort of dive bar. I didn't partake of the food, but the beer selection is pretty standard for this place: Coors, Budweiser, PBR, etc., and a couple select craft beers.Video lottery machines and pay-to-play pool tables in the lounge, with some tables and TVs.Very strong golf theme, thus "Clubhouse", I guess.“
“Third time I've visited Archive for coffee. This morning I got a rosemary Parmesan scone that was the most perfect scone I've had. It's not huge, not over kneaded or over baked. The coffee was also well prepared. Nice staff. Worth a visit for morning coffee.“
“We go out to eat atTHE MASONRY GRILL as often as we canbecause we know we'll be 100% satisfied with our meal and never disappointed.Scott is a very good chef !We leave there feeling relaxed with full bellies.Try it.You will like it !!!“
“I love this bar. The bartenders are laid back, n friendly. Slots can get busy, but very short wait time. I play pool for free on some days while I'm waiting for a free machine, so it's been kinda Kool. Their covered outdoor lounge has many different functions, with a few outdoor heaters n even a few outdoor games, hell, u could easily make them drinking games. Location is great, tons of parking, n a at least 3 stores for smokes, etc.. plus a farmers market with food court across the st. Easy on n off Silverton rd, Brown rd, and close to Corden rd. I would recommend it to anybody looking for an all in one spot to let go of the days hardships n just chill a little. Be blessed.“
“Clean tables, friendly service, and great food!Parking: Not far from Chemeketa parade, and there is street parking, the ADA spots and 30 minute spots are usually available close on street.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor! If you can get on the sidewalk you can get in.“
“Fantastic beer and high quality pub food. Stopped here fortuitously on I-5 drive through Oregon. What a lucky surprise! Big menu of in-house beer. Imperial IPA will knock your socks off. Loved the seared tuna burger and sweet potato fries. Picante dipping sauces! Must try this place! Artisans at work.“
“I absolutely love the food here. It's healthy and leaves me feeling amazing versus eating at most restaurants. It's also a great place to go if you or your friends have a lot of dietary restrictions.Vegetarian options: Most bowls you can add meat, but come vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Great for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and general healthy eating.“
“One of the best bars in town, great service, was made to feel like part of the "bar family", only a small place, but can't imagine going anywhere else. If you're lucky enough to come here for either drinks or a meal, you're guaranteed brilliant service“
“Friday nights are a blast at this place. It's a local dive bar so def keep that in mind. Fast service and great bartender, she's sassy and fun. The Friday night special is Chicken Yakisoba and the owner is the cook. It's the best chicken I've ever had. Call ahead of time to reserve the special- it sells out within the hour after they start serving it at 5pm. Bar food is available all night and burgers and sandwiches till 10pm. Usually open until 2:30“
“First time visiting this charming little West Salem landmark restaurant. Even at their busiest time, the speed and quality of service was excellent.Another mixed bag review for the food. Had their prime rib hash, very tasty. Sadly the chef didn't manage to keep my eggs done easy.. ☹️Potato cakes were delightful. Gravy was better than average, but the biscuit was really too doughy and thick.Definitely get the sausage links though, they were quite good. Will visit again.“
“Excellent place for a wonderful breakfast and the best customer service in Salem. Don't be afraid to give it a shot; you won't be disappointed. Thanks Dalila for your outstanding service since I first visited this location in 2010. Best wishes Erika“
“In town for just a couple of days - this downtown restaurant convenient 2 min walk from the two major hotels and in the downtown walking district. One hell of a selection of liquor and OK selection of wine. Food, while not extensive selection, all looked well-prepared and my burger was perfect. What what outstanding was the service. People here are eager to help, advise, serve, and otherwise just be really people-friendly (I think my server was Molly?).Highly recommend for dinner. Will definitely return on my next trip.“
“I went to Palominos for an exquisite dining event. The four-course meal was paired with tasty wines. The food was one delight after another, and the wine pairing really did add to each course. All of the food was creative and flavorful. Palominos is a cozy and inviting restaurant. If you are looking to have a romantic dinner or you are celebrating a special occasion. Check out their web page for the wine-paring events coming up. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.“
“Absolutely love this place. The entire staff is amazing but Tiffiny was one of the first people I interacted with and she has been amazing every time. They offer line dancing and other entertainment as well as some fantastic food and drinks. Make sure to check them out!“
“Even for a slow Friday night the bartender was helpful and the atmosphere was on point as always and I'll definitely be coming back again. Thank you for a good time anytime I come back in. would love to see kareoke back but that's my only thing of note“
“The food here is great, the cook has always been really good. If only they would let us switch music on the rare occasion it gets weird/unpleasant, but this is our favorite spot to go on date night by far :) Thanks for all the great food over the years!“
“If you're looking for an "Above Average Breakfast"...... The Turnaround Cafe should definitely be on your list. A quick drive to the town of Turner ( just south east of Salem) is definitely worth it. I truly do enjoy this restaurant a lot on all levels: atmosphere, service and greet food.“
