“Umi is one of our all-time favorite sushi restaurants and has been for over 10 years. We were so happy when they opened their location closer to our home. We love all the rolls, but their Tokyo roll with finely sliced lemon on top is delicious and our favorite!“

I had forgotten my purse after a stressful day. I didn't realize until I got to the wjndow. This amazing young lady told me not to worry about it and that she would cover it. These kinds of people are so rare and are so important to the world. I want her to know how amazing she is. “Absolutely love Kriselle Cellars. I've been a member for a year now. Great wines, delicious pizzas with my favorite being the Margarita and their Kriselle Platter which includes Capicola Slices, Savory Herbed Cream Cheese Spread, Sliced Tomatoes, Italian Olive, Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar and Warmed Baguetteis are by far my favorites. The scenery is gorgeous, and the staff is amazing. Always a pleasurable time!!! And kudos to Mateo for always making our wine experience fun with great laughter. See you all soon!“

“For your visiting Crater Lake national Park. Went into the restaurant to have a quick bite of dinner and ended up just with the bison chili which was very good but very spicy. So be forewarned. Simple atmosphere they take the order at the desk and it gets brought out to you. Saturday the fireplace. Clean need and very easy and quick place to get some food. Overall very happy with it.

Parking: Funniest spots but it's located behind the restaurant.“

“We live in Albany. We love wines of Southern Oregon best and we love stuffed mushrooms and wood fried pizzas from Dancin. We plan our trip to enjoy lunch first at Dancin then visit one or two more wineries. Plaisance Vineyards is also on our destination log.“

What a fun little place lots of character.
Even though there is a smallish menu, everything looks inviting it was hard to choose. I did finally settle on chicken pot pie. A classic that I love that is a rare item on menus nowadays. My wife picked one of the Benedicts. Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. We really enjoyed our meals and our time. Very cute place to have a good fun meal.“

“This tiny, hole-in-the-wall gem was completely off my radar until a client of mine recommended it to me, and it's now one of my 2 favorite places in town for Thai food. The dining-in options are very limited (I think there are only 4 or 6 tables to sit at?), but don't let that stop you from calling and ordering some take-out! Side note: call ahead as much as you can in the evening on a weekend. My guy stopped in once (without calling first) for take out and had to wait 40 minutes, but the fact that he was willing to do so should tell you something...
Anyways, my favorite Thai dish is green curry, but everything I've tried here is good. Give it a try!“

“Coming all the way from NJ, I had no idea how amazing Oregon wine country was. Marty made our experience here informed and enjoyable. I can’t get over the views of the outdoor tasting rooms. Currently on a national park trip and this place tops the experiences so far. Favorite wines were the rose and Grenache, both different and exquisite.“

“I really wanted to love this place. Especially with all the great reviews from over the previous years. But...

We went there for my birthday dinner (myself and my parents), at 5:00pm on a Friday, because my folks are both seniors. There were only two other tables seated, but it was SO loud. The waitress tried to seat us right by the door, immediately across from the counter. But we politely asked for a table against the back wall, so we could hear each other (my mom uses hearing aids). And then the attitude started. Like we asked her to build us a table.

Once agreeing to our request to simply walk 15 feet, she gave us about 90 seconds to look at the menu, but was offended by my mother's request for more time, but couldn't be bothered with a drink order. Then, after repeated attempts to flag her down and being ignored, she finally came back. No explanation of which item came with rice or not, or ??? Never a single smile or anything like a welcoming gesture. Ever.

Finally, after ordering and receiving our food. I have to admit - I expected so much more. I could excuse the sourpuss (even downright rude) waitress, if the food was glorious. But, the pad thai noodles were sort of all glued together in a clump. My peanut sauce had a separated oil in it. However, my mom's cashew nut stir fry was the star of the show. My dad ended up eating half of that.

Overall, I was hoping to give the rave that so many others were posting, here. But, I'm giving them a generous 4 stars, based on my perfectly fried chicken and my mother's great dish. DEFINITELY NOT THE WAITRESS.
