“Just a small local bar where the folks are friendly and bartenders are awesome. Shuffle board and pool tables with a great playlist on the jukebox! If you're not looking to dress up but just want to go grab a drink and relax, this is the place. The signs all over will have you in stitches . The restrooms are clean and beer is always cold!! “This was our first time visiting Hummingbird to Mars. We had heard from friends prior to going about how the place was set up. Our expectations were in line with how the restaurant runs. As a speakeasy, the focus is on the cocktails, which are made painstakingly by hand. Their preparation is true to historic standards and no detail is overlooked. The time it takes to receive your drinks might be a little longer than a traditional bar, but they are WELL WORTH IT.
Regarding the ambience, the location mimics the experience one might have had 100 years ago during prohibition. Upon arrival, you ring a doorbell at an otherwise nondescript entryway where you are greeted by friendly staff who will escort you up a flight of candlelit stairs to your table. The location can accommodate a few dozen people so making reservations would be prudent.
Once seated, you’ll be given an extensive drink menu from which you’ll certainly find a customized cocktail that will suit your taste. Our server was knowledgeable about the cocktails and helped us make educated choices with respect to food and drinks.
Considering we went in December, an excellent Jazz trio literally drummed up the background music…jazz interpretations of Christmas classics, which everyone enjoyed.
In a world of bland restaurant chains, this place stands out like a gem. You will not be disappointed.“

“In town for work at Logan Township, New Jersey from Indianapolis. Was recommended this place based off the food and atmosphere. The food was delicious and atmosphere did not disappoint. “Named as one of the top dive bars in the country, Murph's is a bit less ragged and run down and a step up from some of the dives I've been in. It's clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious. You can immediately tell that this is a neighborhood bar, where the locals are all familiar with one another. There is ample space for pool, and the 360 degree wrap-around bar is a great touch. We only came in for beer, and I can report back that the draft beer is quite cold!“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Flashbacks in Lester for their famous crabs, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant had a cozy, hole in the wall feeling, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home.

The star of the show, of course, were the crabs. They were fresh, meaty, and perfectly seasoned, making for a truly satisfying meal. The Old Bay seasoning was just right, enhancing the flavor of the sweet crab meat without overpowering it. The crabs were served hot and steaming, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

In addition to the crabs, we also tried some of their other seafood offerings, including their pasta dishes which were equally delicious. The portions were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection.

Overall, I highly recommend Flashbacks in Lester for anyone looking for a fantastic seafood dining experience. The quality of the crabs and seafood is stellar. I will definitely be returning to Flashbacks in the future for more of their amazing crabs. Flashbacks also offer all you can eat crabs on Thursdays.

“I went to this place last week and it was definitely a really good experience. We had a get together and chose this place. “Delicious as always. I went yesterday, with a friend and I got to say, your prices have gone through the roof! I mean doubled by $8-$10 per meal. We also got there at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, the dead of August, we wanted a hightop table. We were told that they were reserved and That people would be coming in within the next 45 minutes, and they didn’t wanna have to switch us again. By the time we left at 7:30 there were still 2 high tops available/empty. I’ll still be back because it’s a Broadway but those two things definitely bothered us“
