“We had dinner at Planchette yesterday in celebration of Father’s Day. In addition to my husband and myself, our daughter, son in law, and two adult grandsons shared the meal. The food was absolutely the best we’ve had in a very long time. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff was wonderful too. Everyone knows it’s been very difficult getting and keeping staff since the pandemic hit. It’s a shame the folks that complained so bitterly about having to wait did not take this fact into consideration. We’d heartily recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience.“

“Ashley did a remarkable job considering there were so many tables to care for during the 5 course martini dinner. She came back repeatedly to ensure our needs were being met. She even got my daughter & I two Med Rare filets when everyone was getting Medium👍. Great job during a rush rush dinner party!!“

“It's in a difficult spot, but the owner is magnificent. I have been eating there for 20 years and the food quality has not changed.
Parking: There is always street parking. And it's usually about a half hour wait. But good things come to those who wait. ;)“

“Was there tonight for my daughters birthday dinner. I've been there once before and enjoyed it so took her tonite. we throughly enjoyed it. food was delicious although my daughter's filet was a bit over done. our waitress chrissy was awesome. very attentive.. “Ok so, service was friendly and fellow taking orders was very patient and polite. I ordered the Gumbo which seemed rushed. It had no true flavor. I also ordered crab cakes which were a huge disappointment because i expected lump cakes but it was more like store bought heavily breaded cakes. Finally my friend had the Alfredo and he enjoyed it but i did not. Sauce was watery and didn’t smell at all like Parmesan. In their defense i should have likely kept is crabs and shrimp. If i try them again that’s what i will do!“

“Never disappointed after years of going there. Had 2 orders of shrimp and chips and large order of crinkle cut fries to share with my son. The food was hot and the order was ready quickly. From ordering to receiving orders was not even 7 Mins. I don't have any pics , devoured it hot in the car, before even leaving the parking spot.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's an outside order window. That they can roll up too“

“I'm from the Philly Suburbs originally. When I go home to visit I make a point to stop in Lew's. They recently updated their awning so it now has "Public House" in larger letters larger than "Lew's" so I temporarily panicked that it might have changed owners. Fortunately its still the same. If you like a nice cold beer and fresh seafood this is a great casual spot.“

“Me & my girlfriends came here 4 a few drinks, We did order some food, All there food R very good, I had a Fish Whitting Platter wth String Beans, & Mac & Cheese, it was so delicious. “After hearing many good things we had them for dinner tonight. We each got a wrap: the “favalafel”, chicken schnitzel, and beef brisket, plus we got the spicy lamb hand pie and “bff” crispy potatoes to share. The favalafel was tasty although the person ordering it suggested they’ll add hummus next time for some extra binder. The schnitzel was also tasty although a bite or two was more on the spicy side than the rest due to a concentration of the spread there. The beef brisket was a real stand-out although a bit messy to eat because of the sauce. The spicy lamb had a nice crisp wrapper and was spicy as advertised. The crispy potatoes were fried to perfection and the zhoug-black garlic ketchup was a nice accompaniment. We will definitely be ordering from here again!“

“My go to Indian food place in Philly. Ekta is the best! I’ve tried others and none compare. The saag paneer and the lamb/chicken tikka masala taste amazing. Their mango lassi that they pre-make is a nice side to the meal.
Although there are tables in the restaurant, it isn’t really a sit down place. Something to be mindful of if you are looking for a sit down, dining experience.“
