“So I’ll be honest…I was skeptical to host a 70th birthday dinner party here because of the mixed reviews on the food. However, the location and ambiance was what I was looking for. After expressing my concerns to Dave, he encouraged me to trust him and his staff…I’m glad that I did! We had 19 people and were in the back room. The place was clean and inviting. The flat bread and salad were a great start to the night. We had preselected a menu which consisted of four main entrees to choose from: chicken parm, brisket, crab cakes and chicken risotto. I intentionally asked everyone how their dish was and every person said that they enjoyed their meal (trust me, my family would not just say that). The portions were plentiful. The kids had a few choices from the kids menu and enjoyed theirs as well. The staff were very attentive and pleasant….Dave is quite the jokester :) I would absolutely trust them with another event and look forward to going back for a dinner visit.“

“We went here for dinner today. When we entered, we noticed the place looked like an authentic Chinese restaurant, with paintings of China on the wall. We got the vegetable fried rice, vegetable lo mein, steamed vegetable dumplings, and the spicy tofu. The fried rice and lo mein were very good. The dumplings were lacking flavor, but were steamed to perfection. The spicy tofu was the best part, coming with onions, tomatoes, and chillis. I really recommend this place if your in the area.“

“Tried a few dishes here and overall it was a decent experience with some clear hits and misses.

We probably overordered, but that also showed the portions are generous and the value for money is actually pretty good.

We started with the salad, which was fresh and well-prepared—simple but good.

The seafood bisque was enjoyable, though it leaned heavily toward fish and lacked a mix of other seafood, which would’ve made it more interesting. The seafood soup, on the other hand, was just okay—it definitely needed more depth and seasoning.

For appetizers, the fried shrimp and fried calamari were both decent, nothing special, but the dipping sauce with the calamari stood out and elevated the dish a bit.

The grilled octopus was a miss—it lacked flavor and tasted like it had been previously frozen, which took away from the texture and overall experience.

For mains, the Singari sea bass was solid—the fish tasted fresh and was cooked well overall.

The clear winner, though, was the butterfly shrimp. It was buttery, perfectly grilled, and packed with flavor—easily the standout dish of the meal.

Overall, a mixed experience but worth it for the butterfly shrimp alone.“

“Our first time at Blue Olive was to celebrate a birthday and it didn't disappoint. The fusion of Mediterranean/Tunisian/Greek food was nothing short if spectacular. The service was incredibly friendly and gracious and the ambiance charming. We started with hot appetizers of roasted artichokes, pan fried Halloumi cheese, Spanakopita and an evening special hummus with spiced, minced lamb served with warm pita. All so delicious we were tempted to forego our main courses of moussaka, lamb kebab and delicious lemon/caper cod served over a bed of roasted root vegetable. Desserts, celebrated with a happy birthday candle on a scrumptious chocolate/hazelnut cake , walnut baklava and Turkish coffee made the evening complete. This BYOB gem is a culinary find and we will be going back soon.“

“We love this place! Laura's II was the only pizza shop I've been to in PA that's been willing to make me a BLT pizza. Coming from NJ, I'm pretty picky about pizza... this is my go to spot for great pizza, fresh food, and excellent service. The salads are always fresh, the stromboli and sandwiches are incredibly filling (they don't skimp on ingredients). Thankfully, they've added my precious BLT pizza to their regular menu now so I don't get weird looks asking for it anymore. It's delicious and you won't be disappointed with any of their meals!!“

“The whole experience was excellent. The lady and gentleman were very patience when trying to figure out what to order. The atmosphere was nice with great background music while waiting for my order. My order came out and they gave you a lot of food with utensils and sides. The food was excellent better than Red Lobster and Chinese restaurants. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try something new to eat as well as I've never really had a taste for seafood. I ended up ordering the crispy calamari, the king crab, and some wings just in case I didn't like it. WOW! the calamari was very good and my mind was blown with the King crab. “My family of 27 celebrated Christmas Eve in a private room on the 2nd floor of the restaurant. It was simply amazing! Excellent food- customized to our wishes for the traditional fish- and prepared beautifully. The room was roomy yet cozy and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We had 10 children in attendance and the wait staff were completely unflustered. The family returned to my house afterwards for dessert and presents, but it was a treat not to have to plan and execute a sit down dinner for that many people. Would definitely use this restaurant again for future events!“

“We had dinner at Planchette yesterday in celebration of Father’s Day. In addition to my husband and myself, our daughter, son in law, and two adult grandsons shared the meal. The food was absolutely the best we’ve had in a very long time. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff was wonderful too. Everyone knows it’s been very difficult getting and keeping staff since the pandemic hit. It’s a shame the folks that complained so bitterly about having to wait did not take this fact into consideration. We’d heartily recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience.“

Started with the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls per her recommendation, PHENOMENAL. So crunchy, it felt like home.

I got the 9oz Filet & Shrimp, while my husband got the Aged Ribeye.

We got the Big Daddy Chocolate Cake and Big Daddy was ecstatic when that plate came out. Thank you for a wonderful night and look forward to coming back soon.“
