“We’ve patronized Thunderhead Lodge twice in 2 weeks with friends at each visit. Service was great at both visits and everyone agreed (both visits) that it’s definitely worth another visit! The French onion soup is amazing and the crab cake sandwich with sweet potato fries is amazing! Looked like they are investing in a fantastic outdoor space- can’t wait to see what this summer holds!“

“we saw that they were open on Easter, and stopped in to grab a bite. the staff was super friendly , Service was quick and food was AMAZING! they were offering a meal for Easter that started with soup or salad, ham, turkey, roast beef and a bunch of sides and a piece of pie to finish it off. so so good and glad we toom the chance of stopping in while we were out for a nice weather drive. Will definitely be going back !“

“The bar at Kempton Hotel was one of our favorite stops on our road trip from San Diego, CA, to Calais, Maine. The service was excellent, and they all made us feel welcome. The food was delicious - BBQ pork fries, Dutch fries, and steamed clams. Best of all, the patrons were a fun crowd. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you visit them.“

“We just went there for the first time for my husband's birthday. The food was delicious, and the lobster/filet mignon were prepared perfectly as we ordered. We will definitely be coming back. “It’s my first time here. The place is nice, with unique decorations unlike a typical bar. The beer menu is displayed on the wall, and the cocktail menu is on paper. It’s small but cool. You’ll need to find street parking nearby. A great spot to grab a beer and try different flavors!“

“Fun restaurant with random nicknacks everywhere. Your eyes will wander around the whole time you are there. A cute dog is the official greater. The food was decent enough that I would come back while in town. The frozen party drinks served in over sized cups hit the spot. My daughter loved her pasta and chicken wings, the wife was happy with her salmon with baked potato, and I ordered the ribs and actually liked it better than the past few times I've ordered ribs at random establishments that offer it. Chocolate cake and berry pie were enjoyable. If busy the gentleman that was working there is definitely hustling and doing his best to keep up. So be patient. Enjoy.“

The service, preparation, care of the order, and, up to and including the delivery of our food make me value this West Penn Diner experience as worthwhile and I feel appreciated as a customer. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy and the diner is clean. It is also really worth noting that your omelettes are just the very best! There is nothing to add except another order to them. All the ingredients that are included on the plate equal perfection. I feel confident to write that I bet all the customers feel that with all of these orders of perfection being carried out from the kitchen I believe you have a deadly combination of satisfied, happy and grateful customers. “A little constructive feedback… My husband and I stopped in for the first time a couple of nights ago. We are locals and always looking for a new place to try. When we first got our food, things were going well. The first bite or two was fine, as a matter of fact there really wasn’t anything wrong with the food. We got our food about 6:45. By my second or third bite., all I could smell was bleach. The dining room is very small, and an employee rolled a mop bucket past us and into the back. I figured the smell would soon dissipate and that she was mopping in the back. They proceeded to mop the whole eating area, all around us. I personally cannot stand the smell of bleach and I am not happy that as a paying customer, I was forced to inhale bleach, for the rest of my meal, which pissed me off as it ruined the rest of the visit and my appetite. There is no way that was necessary to do that while people were eating. Even if you were closing soon, it makes no difference! Wait until you don’t have customers trying to enjoy their food.“

“Went for early dinner. Bar with regulars, definitely needs revamp, old but clean. Jukebox too loud not overly crowded for 4 pm on a Friday. Food was good but a bit pricey, no frills. Bartender was our server, attentive and accommodating, nice.“

“Great spot, with a huge all-weather deck; we had to eat on the sidewalk at one of 3 tables because we had the dog with us. A hot day in March brought ALL the people out so it was busy as heck at 3:00 pm. The big pluses were meeting the owners which were so amazingly friendly, and our server was sweet as apple pie. Good solid pub/bar food and a fun atmosphere. Cozy little bar. Fish & chips and Reuben were very nice.“

“Really nice sports bar located on top of a mountain. I've had takeout here a few times in passing and decided to eat in finally. Food is really good, but every time I'm there, no music is playing or the tv's are muted. It's kind of of awkward. You could hear a pin drop. Maybe I'm just used to sports bars being loud. Its so quiet you can hear people whispering. This place has a 5/5 vibe, food and wings are slammin', but unmute the tv's or play some music please!“
