The food is always amazingly delicious and packaged up along with heating and serving instructions for the kitchens to which we travel. Every detail is superbly thought through, to the extent that the kitchens at our hotels have commented on the professionalism and quality of their offering. “Decadent parties and fragrant coffee, this cafe is a must visit. The pistachio sticky bun lives up to its reputation! The bagels are more like a sandwich than bagel but also delicious. It gets quite crowded on weekends so come early for a spot. They have a cute outdoor patio for the warmer months.“

“Came here at 8:30 on a Friday night with my family and the place was surprisingly empty. Ahmed, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and prompt service. He gave us several recommendations (we ordered them all) and every dish was great. We got the branzino, the lamb chops, the half grilled chicken, hummusand mishwia. While every dish was truly tasty, my two favorites were the branzino and mishwia. I told Ahmed it was my parents anniversary and he gave us tea and baklava on the house. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone. The food, the hospitality, and the service is top notch.“

“I chose the vedge experience to try 3 dishes and desert for $65/person. All the plates were not only uniquely thought through and delicious, but also presented like works of art. I really enjoyed the creative balance of flavors they used from only plant sources that even mimicked non-vegetarian dishes I've had before. “What an AMAZING and DELIGHTFUL shop!! The sandwiches were literally to die for! I got the Knucklehead on a Sesame Roll toasted and jt was SO good!!!! I went with my boyfriend! They played soft Sinatra music and the vibe was totally chill. The Host was funny and laid back and the food was impeccable! We didn’t even notice but the Owner was at a table in the shop and was so friendly! I literally felt like a welcomed guest in his home! “From the tasting to after the wedding, Bredenbeck’s was amazing! The cake came out EXACTLY how I expected it to. It was beautiful! And it tasted amazing! All of my guests really loved every layer (each one was a different flavor). We had a small issue with the filling but Bredenbeck’s rectified the issue right away and took accountability! I look forward to visiting them for another cake order in the future!“

“I had a party and needed a gluten free and vegan dessert option for a few guest, Burt also wanted something the masses could enjoy. The donuts were coupled with an ice cream bar and other mini dessert and NOT ONE DONUT WAS LEFT! Everyone loved them! And the flavors are rotating and funky and not your average donut! “This is a fabulous local restaurant and if I lived in the neighborhood I would be there at least twice a month. I was hosting some out-of-town visitors and we enjoyed between the three of us, two plates of pasta and a caprese salad and it was more than enough food and we also enjoyed our red and white BYOB wines. I had a special birthday this year and some great friends were flying in to help me celebrate. I had traveled with these friends and had many wild experiences, one of which was a very specific picture this fantastic bakery not only replicated flawlessly but made it oh so much better. “The BEST cream filled doughnuts I have ever had. The filling itself is light and creamy with just the right amount of sweet. The texture of the doughnut was exceptionally well done as well. The peanut butter cream filled doughnut had peanut butter mixed in with the cream filling, the Nutella just has Nutella spread on top. Plenty of variety even in cream filled doughnuts. The flavor of the blueberry fritter was top 2 for a non-apple fritter. Not as heavy and crispy as I like a fritter though.Choosing from 2 cases of minimum 30 doughnut 0 do not recommend.Eating any variety of doughnut they have: 10/10 would recommend going every day for 2 weeks to try them all and enjoy favorites. “Yes, yes, yes! I have come here twice now and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. You can really tell how much care/time is put into the food. From the sides to mains, everything is a 10/10. The service is impeccable as well. You will not be disappointed. This is by far one of the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurants in the city. Portions are also huge. PS don't skip on the homemade hot sauce, it's SO GOOD. You will not have a bad meal here.“

“I lived in Seattle for almost two decades and will admit to being a bit of a coffee shop snob. The Nook hits so many of my high points. Extremely good locally roasted coffee (in-house!). Amazing baked goods. The cocoa coffee bread must be tried, but leave me a slice! Great staff. If I ever move out of the neighborhood, I'll journey to the Nook for a great cup and bite.“

“Awesome spot with great service, fun atmosphere, and a unique menu. My niece raved about the burger. My mom and I shared the pastrami fried rice which was a delicious surprise. I wasn't expecting how well the flavor combinations come together with the scallions, pastrami, and mustard sauce. The portions are huge! Definitely a go-to spot.“

“We have been getting take out from here for years but never sat inside to eat. We decided for our 1 year wedding anniversary that we would go here and it did not disappoint! We have always called the gnocchi "pillows of heaven." They are the absolute best! We also had the lamb which just fell off the bone and was so tender. And we definitely recommend the buratta for a starter. You can tell that everything is homemade including the bread. The service is also stellar! The staff is so attentive and so nice. It was a fun breakfast for us with friendly service.Be mindful of the parking as well, because you’ll need to parallel park and pay for the time you’re there. “Went here for the first time yesterday with my friend, and I must say I felt in love! Don't be fooled by the size of the place. It may look a bit small and old, but the menu is wonderful. They have about 100 types of lassi (not just mango lassi), ranging from fruit flavor, veggie to peanut butter. We got a mango - papaya lassi, a rose lassi and a chicken chatt. It's hard to say which one was best, because they all tasted wonderful. extremely aromatic and not too sweet (Yesss!) The owner was really friendly and nice to us. We got overwhelmed by the menu, so we stood there 15mins just to study it. Lol and he just chatted to us the whole time and making great great suggestions! I haven't met such a friendly, sweet and nice owner in a very very long time. And you can tell he's sincerely nice to you. And other customers there were very sweet as well. The crab croquettes were OK, a little too salty for my liking.I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich for the entree and I don’t typically finish an entire sandwich, but I sure did! The sandwich had the perfect combo of crunchiness with the bread and softness with the tomato compote and avocado. The side salad was a bit bland.“

“This place was very good. This was our first time coming here. We had a very short wait which was a welcome surprise since it was a Saturday around noon. My son had the red velvet pancakes and liked it (he said 4/5). I had the braised beef Benedict and it was awesome. Great flavor and eggs were poached perfectly. Service was definitely 100%. “I used to come here 30 some years ago when it was Sonoma. It has been several other restaurants through the years but this is the best by far. There are 2 bars. One on the first floor that has retractable windows to open up to the outside. Then there is my favorite bar upstairs. Light, airy, nicely painted walls with olive leaves and glass ceiling.There is a happy hour Monday to Friday, 4 to 6pm. All their signature crafted cocktails are $7 and they are delicious. Our bartender, Jeff, was welcoming and very knowledgeable about his craft. Love that they use a lot of local products. There are other drink options (see my menu photo below) and fun food items. We ordered 2 pizzas (shrimp and artichoke and the pepperoni). Both were fabulous.I will be returning again for their in house made pasta and I can't wait.Parking: People often think that parking is difficult in manayunk but there are plenty of options in the nearby lots if you can't get one on the street.“

The cocktails were only $10 and there were so many infused vodkas to choose from! “I can't say enough good things about Meg and her work! She was absolutely fabulous to work with for my geeky 1950’s wedding. She was sweet, professional, and up to whatever challenge I could throw at her. From start to finish she was amazing to work with, our trial was delicious and we spent months anticipating getting to taste the amazing cake again. On our wedding day I was so excited to see our Doctor Who themed cake and cup cakes, it was more then I could have ever imagined it to be. All night people commented on the design of the cake, and once it was cut people commented on the taste. I am so glad I was able to save a few cup cakes to take home, I’m not sure we would make it a year to taste the cake again. “Seriously the best pizza in South Philadelphia. Delicious! I usually order the Grandma pie, which is always so good. Since it was Valentine’s Day we order the heart shaped original pizza and I think I have a new favorite! The crust was thin, crispy and absolutely delicious. Definitely will be ordering that again!The real star of this order were the “Italian Chicken Wings”!! These were the best wings I have ever eaten in my life!! They have sitting in the back of the house--some seats and a large book shelf. We love that you can pre order before arriving & it’s ready when you get there. “I went for some beans today, having had Passero's coffee at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (in the members lounge) Talking with Jeff, who greeted me as I came in, I came home with the Organic Bali Blue Moon "medium dark" roast. It's a lovely shop, the "organized clutter" of a college store perhaps, instantly welcoming and such a friendly informed person (Jeff) and (the reason I went to the source) exceptional coffee. “My husband is a big fan of their Coconut custard doughnuts, it was my first time trying it and it did not disappoint. So fresh and soft. The Nutella doughnut was filled with cream and it wasn't too sweet - making it the perfect companion to the coconut doughnut.“
