“What a great, local spot! I’d never had Peruvian food and our server (Christina) was incredible in guiding us through each section of the menu and the food was out of this world! The yuca and causas limenas were amazing, and the specialty chicken entree was out of this world - just really, really great flavors. Don’t skip dessert! An incredible experience all around. I also have a shellfish allergy they were awesome with accommodating!“
“We used to go pretty often when we lived there before the fire so many years ago but went again recently. The outdoor space and nice and comfortable, the food was really tasty and service was good as well. A nice place to get some good food.“
“Emei is one of the few Chinese Restaurants that has several gluten free options. My wife has celiac disease so this is very important and the servers here are knowledgeable and helpful about dietary restrictions. We started with the Cucumber and Garlic salad which is absolutely delicious. Then the main entree was house special fried rice with General Tsao's chicken. That's something nearly impossible to get gluten free. It was very good. The ambiance was fine nothing over-the-top. Special shoutout to Valerie, our server. She understood my wife's celiac seriously. Took her time explaining various menu options, etc. Professional and personable. Overall highly recommended.“
“This restaurant is, quite frankly, the epitome of charming. The decor is clearly done by hand, the painted stenciling slightly askew, the front window a darling mishmash of brocade and little sparkling candle-lamps and the odd hookah. A large mirror on the far wall stands like some magic portal in the back of a slightly chintzy bazaar, lending an airiness to the room along with the natural light from the wide front window. We were greeted by the proprietor, who learned all of his cooking from his mother and now shares the kitchen with his wife. Determined to ensure every visitor is treated to a flawless experience, he brought bottles of water and then proceeded to tour us through the menu, giving sound advice indeed on where to begin (and to end) the meal. Chatty and teasing, he is wonderful to talk to, but also knows when to vanish again and let you enjoy your food. And you Will.Sweet heaven. The caliber of the food brought to our table is far higher than a glance at the tables on the patio or the slightly drippy geometric patterns on the wall prepares you for. The plating was frankly lovely, and the flavours were absolutely to die for, from the lemony, garlicky eggplant to the sizzling, olive-studded chicken tagine. I came looking specifically for the pastilla, and the cinnamon-and-sugar-dusted, chicken and almond-stuffed pastry did not disappoint. Ultimately, the three of us could not finish everything, so a few scraps of leftovers, and a significant amount of baklava got packaged to go home. I recommend it, honestly, let the experience last as long as you can.So- We live hours south of this precious little place with its long couches and little round bolster pillows, but we Will be back. I'm sure I can find some sort of excuse in the area to make my way back up again.Vegetarian options: A significant portion of the menu is vegetarian, including nearly all of the appetizers, and several other options including a tagine and a falafel gyro. There are also fish options for those who are pescatarian.Parking: We were there early on a Sunday so found a spot reasonably easily, but it will probably be more difficult later in the day, and it is metered.Wheelchair accessibility: It's walk-out with no steps and can easily accommodate a wheelchair.“
“Stopped by here for a late lunch with the family. It was close to our hotel (walking distance). We went during a time when it wasn't busy. We were welcomed by a staff member who seated us right away. Those who took our order and brought out the food were friendly and efficient. Overall, the food was good. The scallion pancakes were a little on the smaller size. The shrimp for the honey walnut dish was not what we had initially expected -- it was breaded, similar to that of Chinese chicken fingers -- but still good. The shrimp lo mein had an added taste which I was trying to identify. It reminded me of pork or some kind of meat -- but again, still good. The place was nice, spacious with high ceilings, and has a huge bar. It reminded me of a bar/lounge back in NYC, but it was a little dim. Overall, it was a decent place to get some Chinese food in the area. Also, I believe they will be moving locations soon.“
“Had a perfect experience with my fiancée i looked at reviews here good and bad ive seen none of the bad reviews being right the food was amazing the service was amazing perfect had a good life and was very helpful in helping me understand the food how it mix and what goes together gave good recommendations and not every place does this right but help loads with my allergies and carter so well to it for the price was so worth it me and my fiance was so stuffed recommend a drink that was really nice as well i will say hands down best Korean food id ever had“
“It’s a great experience from the jump! As soon as you walk in Ms. Bre welcomes you with a smile and is so accommodating when it comes to her flavors! This place is such a sweet treat (pun included) to the neighborhood I grew up in. (: I look forward to many years to come!“
“Only ate here twice and it was exceptional for the price. Honestly I thought the good reviews had to be fake bc there were so many and so highly rated. But it’s legit. It appears to be closed though permanently since it’s been down for over a month now.Hopefully the owners see this and will tell me they’re re-opening soon??“
“Old school! In from NYC on biz…had looked this place up. So much better than most of the Philly center tourist traps. The large cheesesteak was enough for 3 meals, and the meat was so good and cooked perfectly. The meatball sub was damn good too! Dreaming about that cheesesteak! Nice staff too!“
“I have been to other Luke’s lobster location, this one is paritcularly spacious and food quality is consistent. I got the warm lobster roll, spicy honey lobster roll, and lobster mac. Most of the rolls are cold, so it is nice to try the warm lobster roll and have to order one of my favorites – spicy honey lobster roll as well. Lobster Mac on the other hand is alright, the pasta they used is quite unique but flavor wise is just okay, and not a huge fan of the breadcrumbs on top.“
“Small, cozy Vietnamese restaurant. I ordered the pork chop rice special. It was great. There was also a duck noodle soup that looked and smelled so good but couldn't get to it. Service was great. They put tables together to accommodate our party or 6. Plenty of street parking outside on a Sunday.“
“forget the ambience; it's sketchy in the best way... we've ordered bahn mi twice now and they were consistent, fairly priced, and delicious... tonight we got pho for take-out and it was fantastic... the scalding hot broth comes separate from the noodles and any proteins to be poured over top once you're ready. the hot sauce is hot and the jalapeños are not your baby-stuff-for-babies. these folk will stay on our list.“
“Lovely little restaurant. We were not planning to eat out this Valentine Day, but happenstance changed the day & we found ourselves looking for dinner. This location popped up on Google, so we headed over. From the outside it looks like any other, but inside it is so sweet! Woven tapestry table coverings, sculpture & paintings all around, soft music AND the sweetest staff! We had tea, appetizer, Gummlai Rice & a Fried Crab dish I forget the name of. Although the fried dishes were a bit too greasy, they were delicious & the rice was spot on. So good.If you are looking for tastey Thai with a comfortable, family friendly atmosphere this is the one.“
“It's a very decent restaurant and my first impression was good. The restaurant provides a chic ambience, and it's decorated nicely. It gives a crisp and clean atmosphere for it hasn't even been six months since it opened last year. Service rendered was very good. Our server was polite, charming and efficient. Our food came out from the kitchen fairly quickly after we placed our orders. As is often the case for me, I tried Pho Tai for my first visit to establish a baseline for the goodness of a Vietnamese restaurant. Unfortunately, Pho Ngon was only just about average for me.Pho broth was very decent, but it wasn't the best. The beef was a little tough because it came out of the kitchen pretty much well-done. As for their Pad Thai... chicken was significantly under-flavored and had some texture issues per my wife.My pursuit for the best Pho in the area continues.Parking: There is ample parking space in this shopping center.“
“The food is delicious! Got the fried ultimate platter, with Mac and cheese and hush puppies and fried fish with potatoes and broccoli. EVERYTHING was bomb, and i really appreciate that they give you you monies worth! Will definitely be coming back.“
“Delicious as always. I went yesterday, with a friend and I got to say, your prices have gone through the roof! I mean doubled by $8-$10 per meal. We also got there at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, the dead of August, we wanted a hightop table. We were told that they were reserved and That people would be coming in within the next 45 minutes, and they didn’t wanna have to switch us again. By the time we left at 7:30 there were still 2 high tops available/empty. I’ll still be back because it’s a Broadway but those two things definitely bothered us“
“The food is usually great every time I order but recently the service had declined. I was told a 20 min wait once I returned I was told another 10 or more because they are busy in the kitchen. If you want good fresh seafood cooked this is a good spot. Customer service is another issue.“
“You know the invisible Chinese Food chain that exists nearly everywhere in America? Each has a different name, but they all have the same menu and price? Pak Yue is the _best_ manifestation of that restaurant. Wonton Soup is packed with wontons, you couldn't fit another one in the takeout container. To Go trays barely close, they're so stuffed. If your bill is five, ten cents over a dollar amount they wave it off instead of making you carry nine dimes the rest of the day. They're super generous with sauces. And, amazingly, when they quote "15 minutes" when you call for takeout, it's actually fifteen minutes. If you don't like Pak Yue, you probably just don't like this quasi-franchise of food.“
“Love this place! The food is excellent and inexpensive for what you get, the service is great (they treat you like your family or their favorite customer), and to top it all off… they are a byob establishment. No need to pay inflated prices for your poison of choice.“
“This place is one of the best spots Juice spots I have tried and it checks out all the boxes for me in regards to Food and Beverage, Service, Atmosphere, and reliability. Both there smoothies and juices are Fresh, delicious, and refreshing. Additionally for food their sandwiches, paninis, and soups are so delicious. The service is top notch, everyone is warm, friendly, and kind. All the employees call you by your name and everyone is eager to have a conversation and are happy. People are engaging, kind and very respectful. There is also a place for you to eat in peace, study, read a book, journal, and you can even work out of the cafe. There is Free Wifi Service and you can tell that the place was designed with attention to detail and love.It is super clean, it is very comfortable, there is even a sofa for you to sit on if you ever come with friends in the back.I would highly recommend this place to anyone, it really deserves a perfect 5.0 rating.“
“Been passing by this gem for a few weeks and finally came in. Small place but very cozy! The staff was also fantastic! The food was fantastic as well! Got a delicious oxtail and jerk chicken. It was spicy , it has been awhile since I had some, even spicy I did enjoyed the food!“
“The owner Lien Jie, Lily even the chef are so friendly and helpful. They remember our preferences. We always order their takeout for our office and home.I love their Crab Meat & Dry Scallops Fried Rice. I can say it’s the best best best in the area!!! Hongkong cooking style, reasonable price and lots of selections in the menu.Highly recommend to anyone!“
“I truly enjoyed the restaurant week menu. The 1st appetizer of salmon bites and codfish croquettes (yes 2 appetizers) were delicious and flavorful. It was really hard choosing between the entrees. I am so grateful I went with the pineapple ginger relish salmon with miso noodles. Noodles were cooked just right as to when I reheated them for lunch today they were still perfect. Lastly the carrot cake was moist with the precise amount of icing. Even though I dined alone I felt the warmth of the cozy atmosphere. I found parking right on the street for less than $6 for 2 hours. Definitely will return to try something new. Many thanks. Germantown.“
“I love their chicken soup. I know its called something else but they know what you're talking about if you ask for chicken noodle soup. The herbs, chicken, and broth are SO FRESH AND JUST GOOD! I had some for lunch and am thinking about getting it again for dinner. ??“
“Do Not Miss !! Xi'an style cuisine is uncommon in American Chinese food menus, but after eating here I am officially cheerleading Xi'an food in Philly. The "Pita bread soaked in lamb and beef soup" (牛肉泡馍) and "BBQ lamb skewers with cumin flavor" (羊肉串) were so fresh and good. There were pickled garlic cloves as garnishes for our soups, incredible. Also had a sour tofu dish handwritten on the menu that was wonderful. I had a great experience dining in as well, it was very comfortable. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.“
“Excellent food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. I’ll be coming back soon!Vegetarian options: Each dish had a vegetable option, and it was fresh and varied. I’d never had Tom yum soup with vegetables before, but it was delicious!“
“We called before we came because it was Friday night and we were afraid that there might be a long wait time, they told us to come on over. We were sat immediately. Our orders were taken quickly and the appetizer came quick. We ordered the crispy vegetable spring rolls, honey wings and steamed chicken dumplings. They were all delicious. We also had the general tso which was spicy but not too spicy and yummy. We also had the chicken fried rice, shrimp and broccoli and the chicken and broccoli. They were all seasoned well and very tasty.Kid-friendliness: My daughter ordered the California roll without the crab stick and avocado, so she had a cucumber roll which wasn’t on the menu but the very kind lady waiter said no problem and they brought her out a cucumber roll. I really appreciated that.“
“This place has some of the best chili in center city. They serve it daily, no special days needed. They have old-school candy as well. A hole-in-the-wall gem. Almost forgot... they don't serve chili until 10:45 am.Wheelchair accessibility: Some steps lead down to where you get your food. However, I don't remember a ramp.“
“My family and I enjoy going to this Olive Garden (which we have patronized for many years). I had an excellent experience recently with the customer service. To spare everyone a long story, I'll just say that the female manager with the braids there is excellent. I can't think of her name right now but she always is very hospitable and clearly cares about the customers.“
