“There's always a fun & friendly crowd here! It's nice to go into a place & actually have full conversations with people that I don't even know. The bartenders are knowledgeable & welcoming. I like the party themes; Halloween, Ugly Christmas Sweater, Mardi Gras...it's so fun dressing up! They always find a reason to bring the community together!!! “Is a Rock Bar so cool. The bartenders are so friendly. Every Saturday you can sing at the rock karaoke. Is the perfect place we want to go always after party. Bar hours are so good closing at 2 am which is so good in Bellefonte. Very nice people to make new friends. There is a Pool table to play whenever you want. Nice clean and big Restrooms. You can choose the rock song you want to listen at the jukebox. It reminds me all the places I used to go before. They sell chips and hot dogs and all the drinks you prefer. You can buy a t-shirt with the name of the bar so comfy. See you there. Rock on !!!“

“Another packed bar in State College. Went after the Nebraska game. Had a couple of beers. The vibe is chill, not too loud. TVs with sports lining the wall. Not a bad spot to chill and grab a drink. Wish I could’ve stayed longer. The service was alright for being a busy night. I’m sure if it wasn’t a home game it would’ve been better. Still worth checking out.“

“Great industry bar, very friendly staff unless you break the rules. You will be thrown out without hesitation (yes I've been kicked out a few times, it was always my fault). I will always come back, special shout out to Sam for being a great up and coming bar tender in the area.

Super creative drunk selection, id argue they have the most custom drinks out of any bar. Karaoke on Sundays can be really fun. If you're looking to spend money on top shelf just ask they have some super expensive alcohol they don't display.“

“This is an interesting bar in downtown State College because it's right in the midst of everything (it is right next to the Gaff), but it has a very different vibe to it. It is attached to a nice restaurant so it is a more upscale casual than the super casual nature of the bars around it.It is interesting to go there because they have traditional furniture and makes you feel like you're in a place of some history. They make good cocktails, and this is a nice place to go if you're looking to enjoy the nightlife downtown without rowdiness or blasting music. It is a good place for conversation and the candlelit tables feel very intimate. It is not a huge place which will also get swamped on big weekends like Arts Fest and Blue and White.“

“Went here last month and had such a relaxing evening! Our waiter was so nice and genuinely enthusiastic, which made it even better. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside, and the walls are lined with really sophisticated, historic artwork. Everything we ordered was high quality, but the highlights were definitely the Papas Bravas for an appetizer and the Bolognese for an entrée - seriously delicious. The layout was a little quirky since it felt like we were sitting across from the other table more than each other, but it didn’t ruin the vibe at all. Overall, this restaurant is great for a nice night out.“

“After being stuck in mud for 2 hours at the Memorial Day events in Boalsburg, I needed a place to unwind. New to the area and The Bar was highly recommended, so I stopped in. It eas exactly what I missed from where I'm from. Bartender was great. This is definitely a place I'd come back to.“

“We came into town for a Penn State game with a big group. We decided to try this place. When we walked in I fell in love with the decor! Very fun and funky, and I loved all the art. The staff was very accommodating and put us in a more private area that really did feel like a speak easy!! The wait staff was very attentive and the food was delicious! The sauces that came with our food were so different than the usual ones! I loved the flavors! We loved everything! By the time we left there was a dance floor and a DJ! What a great place to hang out and party!! I wish we had one at home! I would go back again and again!“
