“I sometimes have a hard time finding this little neighborhood bar. It's a gem. I feel like it's kind of like a phantom bar that phases in and out of existence, like something out of Brigadoon. It defines the word 'cozy'. The food went from reheated pizza to (now) very respectable bar food. It's always chill here, and the prices are right. Bar staff are consistently friendly. It's good that this place is hard to find. It's for locals, and people that know how to behave in bars. If you can't respect that, you shouldn't go.“

“Mike's has an insane selection of beers, and the bartenders are great about helping you navigate it. Their food as always delicious and reliably consistent, too. (I usually grab takeout, and have a drink at the bar while I wait, but I have eaten in-house, too. You can create a mixed six pack to-go, too!)“

“Friendly bar staffFun drinksGood foodFun vibeGot the pierogi, which comes deep fried with the most incredible onion jam. The pierogi tasted like Mrs T's from the frozen section but that jam did laps around the restaurant. It was incredible. My friend got the pink drink which tasted like pink and white animal cookies.A fun place to stop on a stumble down Carson.“

“Came in for dinner on Sunday and the place was pretty busy. There was a Pens game on and several tvs were showing the game and the surround sound was playing the game, as well. The staff were super friendly and quick to take our order. Two women were both bartending and serving the tables, but we never had dirty dishes or empty glasses for long. The pepperoni rolls were our favorite. We also had a 16" pizza with extra cheese and half sausage & bacon. The pizza was ok! I'd say 7.5/10. The sauce had great flavor. My brother had the special chicken sandwich, parmesan style. He said the flavors were great, but he wasn't a huge fan of the bread. It wasn't toasted and after a few bites, it was totally soggy. There are two 1-person bathrooms and they were both clean, smelled like strawberries (lol), and were stocked with soap and paper towels.“

“This place really surprised me. It's on my street and my adult kids frequently stop down for a drink or a bite to eat. They rave about it so of course my husband and I had to try. Super friendly service and good food. Love the happy hour specials and the rotating specials. Thrilled to have this little gem on our street.“

“Stopped by for some beers & basic bar grubs during a weekday dinner time. Good beer choices. Their smash burger was great. Fries were a bit saltier than my taste but that's me nitpicking. Friendly barkeep, chill atmosphere during their slow hours.“
“POSITIVE - This is an amazing location for a variety of outdoor lifestyles both Male & Female and also kid friendly to enjoy. They host Car shows, Bike Nights, live band and many others for great photo opportunities and social media tags. The food is good and reasonably priced however it is a "CASH ONLY" business. So be sure to stop at an ATM before arriving. Alcohol is reasonably priced also. There parking lot is massive and every event I attend has been packed. So if you are tired of indoor restaurants or just want to experience a fun outdoor adventure. Tiki is the place to be.NEGATIVE - They need to have a lot more shaded seating [preferably away from the stage]. It's a hit or miss that I and as many others are forced to stand, holding and eating our food & drinks because many customers just place purses and other items on the chairs & tables like some deck chairs at some resort then take off. Due to lack of seating, events do not last very long. (2 or 3 hours) than everyone leaves standing too long.Bring Ear Plugs. Noone does a sound check and more often than not the live bands play at a volume heard across the highway for no good reason. Another reason many people only stay for 30min to an hour.Kid-friendliness: The car shows and bike nights are great events to get kids outside and marvel at historical machinery, socialize and get fresh air.Parking: Massive parking lot. Most see to understand. Every event I've attended also has been free parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Outdoor location on more or less relatively flat surfaces. They do have at least 1 wheelchair accessible Porta Potty.“

“Food is usually decent and the service is speedy and always friendly. The atmosphere can be really loud sometimes, especially in the back of the restaurant. Overall a fun place to dine and meet up with a few friends for good food and drinks.“

“Went to wing night. Tried 3 sauces. Gold (my personal favorite) honey jalapeño and chipotle bbq. We had the bbq chicken wrap and a sweet and spicy burger ( that was the burger of the month). Some of the best bar food in the 412. Crispy wings. Sauces were original and great. Side was charred Brussels sprouts that were garlicky and a great option. Homemade ranch and blue cheese. Everything here is made in house. Makes 100% difference. Alexa was our waitress and she was terrific. The bar and restaurant were packed and she was very busy. She smiled and talked to everyone as she filled the tables with food and drinks. The kitchen was jamming but they worked seamlessly together. A refreshing display of synergy in the post COVID world. Great food, great service. You’ll never be disappointed at JMOS.“

“I shared smoked wings and fried wings with my friend, I enjoyed Mark's mighty fine bovine Headwich with satisfactory amount of beef, I also ordered Southside slopes, original cheesesteak and divine swine for take-away. The variety of sandwiches or headwiches are more than you can shake a stick at, the amount of each serving with the side is worthy of the price. The only flaw is the slow service probably due to the popularity.“

“From Minneapolis, first time in Pittsburgh. Was looking for a local restaurant walking around the strip. This place hit the spot. Cocktails, and the bar bumps right up to the grill. It’s a site to behold. Comfort food at its finest. And the bartender cooks and serves drinks effortlessly. It’s obvious that all the regularslove the place and the service. Wish we had one of these in our town.“

“Surprised by this random find, which turned out to be a hidden treasure. Our server Paul was exceptionally cordial and extremely knowledgeable about menu items, which was greatly appreciated. The humus platter was plentiful and scrumptious. But our ultimate pleasure was in the hanger steak & gouda risotto. Definitely would go back! The desert was good but not great (rasberry/lemon cake; we'll have to try a different one next time).“

“it was a great place to go until tonight when we went to dinner the service we received from the waitress was fantastic the food was fantastic but when we went to leave we stopped to play one of the games and ended up being harassed by I guess one of there drunk customers. the sad thing about the situation is one of the owners sat there and let it go on. the guy was very aggressive to us wanting to fight all we did was sit down to play one of the machines and didn't realize the volume was on low. this guy pushed his way in between me and my brother put his hand in the machine and lowered the volume he could of just asked us so my brother told him not to put his hand on the machine and he went off now one of the owners were sitting by him letting this go on. he kept going back to the bar and the machine. he made a comment that we played the machine because we saw him playing it. we were in the table area. as we were leaving we walk by him and he yells oh leaving without fighting me. then he was running his mouth with the f word now the owner is still sitting there letting this go on. I started walking back towards the guy and the owner stops me and said you were leaving so leave. then there was a lady sitting at the same table and she got up and talked to us and walked us out. she was very nice. then there was another drunk woman at the bar and as we were leaving she started running her mouth. I never expected this kind of behavior in this restaurant it was always so peaceful and enjoyable. so I guess here it shows that you must have to be a drunk to get appreciated for you patronizing Coaches. very sad have to find another place now.“

“Loved this tiny tap house! Stayed in a nearby hotel and say the restaurant front. Super clean, more roomy than expected, with a great menu or beers and food. Tons of TVs inside making it a fun place to hang and watch a game. Theres outdoor seating as well with a ton of outdoor heaters. It was about 35 degrees out and we could have sat outside. It's a seat yourself situation. Not bad. The staff wasn't good or bad. Food came out fast and delicious. The place is a little inside so standing in line to order and pay was frustrating. Customers were a bit annoyed. Great beers on tap. Loved the white pizza, nachos and beer flights.“

Price and quality/quantity perfect ballance. It's a pity that we are from Germany and we had to move on to Buffalo for the rest of our holiday. Otherwise,we would be here more often. If we are coming back to Pitsburg, this will be the first stop to make.“
“My wife and I are here for the first time tonight. We'll definitely go back to try more dishes off of the extensive menu. “Great food and atmosphere. Great place to watch a game or just stop for a beer, lunch, or dinner. They always have good soups. Their food is mostly bar type food, but it is always top notch. The only negative is they still allow smoking. We would probably stop here a lot more if that were not the case.“

“Old school authentic neighborhood cafe with full bar. Adorable Greek owner, a talker *love it*, entertained us with life experiences, cafe history, three owners over 91 years…award winning foods…the gyro, the spicy sicilian, and the Spartan (the hubby had this, fabulous), each one, separately, winners of first place, three years in a row. This was our first trip to Pitts and our very first stop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The food! The welcoming company! felt so at home, far from home♥️Thank you!“
“It was so fun! The staff and owner were so nice. The music and the atmosphere was great. My friends and I can't wait to go back ? I believe there's an age restriction of 30+ years old. “This place was pretty fun. I randomly went here with a friend because we saw it was DJ night. Once we got there there are 2 separate areas. One for the dance floor and then the bar. If you wanted to order any food or drink during an event, you have to go to the bar to do so. The food was fairly priced and I loved their cheese fries! They use queso blanco!!!! And their burgers are huge! It overall was a cute place to go to listen to music and have some good vibes“

“Finally made it here after 27 years of living in Pittsburgh. Decided to come for dinner and drinks because we knew Alex from Ruggers worked here also. Wings were delicious and so was the burger, granted the burger was a little on the char broiled side flavor wise but was not dry. Mound of delicious fries on the side. The beers were frosty and shots adequately poured. 100% getting added to the roster of go-to eats on the Southside.“
“Bar itself is great. Some really nice people at any given time as well. But all that goes from a 5 star experience to a zero whenever the ego maniac Julia happens to be working. She is a very toxic and demanding person hell bent on iron rule. She is the epitome of an overbearing, drama loving wannabe diva. Skip Mondays and Sundays and turn around any other day she happens to be filling in.“

“Good local spot with excellent wings and reasonable prices. Beware that it's a smoking bar. Might be a pro or con. Personally not a smoker, but smoke doesn't bother me. Just not a huge fan of watching the bar tender smoke behind the bar then serve me drinks. Chill place to hang out after work for a drink though.“
