“I called this week to order a custom birthday cake for Saturday, and was lucky that the cake decorator was going to be at the store that afternoon, so I was able to get a custom cake for my daughters birthday party this weekend. It was BEAUTIFUL!! It was just as I had asked it to be. The ice cream cake was mint oreo and chocolate, with chocolate crunch in the middle, and it was delicious (as is all their ice cream). All the kids loved the cake. Thank you Bethlehem Dairy store!!“

“First time going here and literally all of the customers in front of us ordered shakes. I guess it’s their specialty ? Busy Saturday night when we were there. There was only one person working so the wait was long, however the staff did a great job with so many shake orders and maintained a great composure! We just had a big dinner so ended up getting the small cups of peanut butter cookie and almond joy ice cream. Portion was generous and the ice cream was tasty!“

“I was initially unaware of this business being here. I was walking down main st and smelled the most delicious cinnamon/brown sugary aroma I’ve encountered. It brought me into the store. The worker greeted me and was very cordial and friendly. The store was clean and had an aesthetical appearance to it I found welcoming. I assessed 3 different flavors on a waffle cone. Cookie dough, death by chocolate, and cookies and cream. I enjoyed 2 of the flavors. One flavor which was cookies and cream had too much sweetened condensed milk in the ice cream base making it nauseatingly sweet and I couldn’t finish the remainder of my ice cream cone due to this. Additionally the waffle cone I would recommend to made thicker as some of it broke while I was still eating. These were minor inconveniences. I’d recommend this place and would definitely give it 5 stars if the aforementioned was done. The area is nice and I’d encourage patronizing this location if you wanted to have a family outing of some sorts

“Clean, service is great, product is good. Location is easy to get to, just doesn't present much seating. Maybe one or two benches and one picnic table. Co-located with a gas station, so long lines wait in the street. Keep an eye on littles.“

“I'm from Indiana, so maybe a deli sandwich there and a deli sandwich in PA are not the same. The sandwich here, in my case the "Devon's favorite" was delicious... it was also about twice the size that we would get back home. The price for what we got was on par with how the local economy is going. Great small deli atmosphere, and feel. The Gelato is amazing and the mochalatto (coffee blended with gelato) was wonderful. I'd add a picture of my sandwich, but I inhaled it and the crab bisque before I remembered to take a photo.“

“Wednesdays are still "buy one soft-serve sundae and get one free" at this Carvel. My husband and I grew up on this ice cream and it's still our favorite. They make their own cakes up fresh in this store. I highly recommend their Dusty Road sundaes. And if you like fruit cocktail topping, theirs is the best!“

“The ice cream here as an extremely fresh quality. Have I had better ice cream? Maybe, but does it really matter? Absolutely not. This is the FRESHEST ice cream I’ve ever had. By that, I mean it has a very farm-to-table quality to it that totally makes it stand out.

I baked for a year. The pieces in the cookie monsta flavor are very large, broken up pieces of chocolate chip cookies that couldn’t possibly have been made by anything other than an actual human being using an oven. I’ve never had that in ice cream before.

This place has a great atmosphere. It was so cool, Frank Ocean was playing when we walked in. The staff was super nice also - more upbeat than you’d expect at almost 8pm on a Saturday.

Vegetarian options: This place takes diet accommodations very seriously. According to their site, “Since 2009 we have been hand crafting super premium ice cream from scratch daily using the finest local organic and natural ingredients that support local agriculture.”

“$5 at Rita’s doesn’t get us what it used to, just like $5 doesn’t anywhere but gargantuan wholesale retailer food courts. For this reason, I almost never go to Rita’s, and when I do, I opt for the gelato.

There’s something about finishing the ice cream on top then starting with the ice and then back to the ice cream that just does it for me. I used to get vanilla with the blue raspberry ice all the time when I was a kid.

Now they have sour patch kid flavor! They were out of the new watermelon one so I just got the red one instead. The actual quality of Rita’s doesn’t disappoint, but at the end of the day, it’s not YoFresh or Menchie’s and it’s not Coldstone. It’s just Rita’s.

“Went to this location last weekend and it is a standard Rita's. nothing stood out as exceptional or lacking. My real reason for writing a review is to ask them to get a working landline / phone. I tried to call to see if they had a specific flavor and the phone was disconnected. Business's not having landlines / phones seems to be more common and I don't think it is a good thing. If a customer wants to call to ask a specific question about the menu, or if they are busy around a particular time, etc. and the business does not have a phone, the person could potentially choose another business or in the case of Rita's, the location in Macungie or Emmaus Ave.“
