“We had such an awesome experience eating at the Barn while staying on the property. Everyone loved their meals but highlights were the chicken and grits and filet. Hand stuffed blue cheese olives for the perfect martini. We'll be back!“

“Again enjoyed a wonderful brunch at The Barn. Arrived a little early for our reservation, but they happily seated us early, and we're also able to get us an outdoor table. I had my usual Eggs Benedict, subbing mushrooms for the Canadian Bacon, and my wife tried the new Granny Smith Apple & Roasted Sweet Potato salad. The cook did an outstanding job with the Eggs Benedict, as usual, and the salad was delicious and filling. Also enjoyed being recognized by the manager Greg, who came over, welcomed us warmly, and chatted for a while. A truly nice, delicious and enjoyable bunch!“

“Food was quite tasty and filling! Service was satisfactory. Location was nice and nice my wife and I could walk in and get a table on Friday evening. The place wasn't too busy but was noisy. We appreciated the funny "bar signs" on the wall. Nice convenient spot and nice to check out as part of a "beer trail" I'm going through. The beer cheese burger was delicious and filling and my wife enjoyed her large plate of nachos with pulled pork. Tried and true, had heard of the restaurant before, and see it's been around for 30 years when we visited.Parking: Plenty of street parking around town and it was easy to walk around town and find this restaurant and other bars and dessert places around town. Nice place to visit.“

“First visit! The place is simple but comfortable and it's clean so it's a good eat in location. Staff are minimal but always busy. Weird not used to working the computer system but it is relatively easy once you read and touch! You can order through their staff also. My wife ordered the Orange Chicken Sweet & spicy, broccoli. I ordered the Black Beans with Chicken Broccoli, onion, black bean, carrot. The Orange Chicken had a great sweet orange taste and a spicy hot kick to it. The Black Beans with chicken was perfect sauce with delicate flavoring the chicken was very tender and the broccoli onion and carrots were perfectly cooked al Dente! Portion sizes are good and a plate is more than filling especially with rice. This place came recommended by a couple of people. I will be hoping them in recommending it also“

“After 2 visits to the remodeled Freshido, I feel like I have found a hidden treasure! I’m completely over all of the National chain restaurants on the pike that are over crowded and not well managed. When you walk into Freshido Mechanicsburg it is quiet with pleasant music playing. My food was delicious and the service was prompt but relaxed. I didn’t feel rushed at all. The menu variety is good and I can’t wait to try more dishes.“

“Stopped by on a whim and it could not have turned out any better. The food was fresh, flavorful and great portions at a great price. Got a burger that was cooked perfectly med-rare and very hot and cripsy fries. Service was excellent and the waitress was friendly and blunt in a good way if you asked any questions, she always made sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask and always checked in on us as she passed. Went with two others one had a gyro and the other a burger.“

“Loves me a good 'ol sloppy double-patty burger dripping with BBQ, melted cheese, & mushrooms. Have been to this location numerous times - burgers are always above par. Service has been consistently good & the premises clean. Can get a bit loud, but if you like the songs playing it's enjoyable - not a place to be romantically whispering to your SO ;) Also a fan of the self-service multiple-choices Coke machine!I like it - I'll be back!PS - fries are good too!“

“Simple eating experience that is not overcrowded with tables. Authentically decorated from the front counter all the way to the back of the seating area. The food is fairly average. The guy that works here as the server though is top-notch. He never stops moving, constantly wants to ensure that everybody is taken care of and wants to ensure that you have a good eating experience. “This was our 2nd visit to this place. Our first visit left a lasting impression so we made a point to visit again. We were in town for spring Carlisle. Let me say the service we had on both visits was fantastic. The food was great and came out super quick. I personally am not much of a beer drinker but did enjoy the peanut butter flavor one. We will definitely make it a point to visit again. It's just a shame this place isn't closer to the Pittsburgh area so I could enjoy it more often.“
