“This is straight up one of the coolest vibes in black Philadelphia. You get such a diverse crowd of people across the diaspora and the food is amazing. Karaoke night brings out some REAL singers but even if you aren’t good, the crowd is still so supportive and fun. I really love this place.“

“In town for work at Logan Township, New Jersey from Indianapolis. Was recommended this place based off the food and atmosphere. The food was delicious and atmosphere did not disappoint. “Streetlight Kitchen & Bar is a great restaurant to go to for dinner. Their smashburger is delicious and seasoned perfectly. Streetlight is a great place to eat with friends and family.The atmosphere is great and the servers are very polite. Would recommend people that love high quality food and great cocktails to go to this restaurant.“

“The Local has an old-vibe neighbor bar atmosphere. That being said, the lunch menu had vegan-vegetarian options which I was pleasantly surprised to see. The miso ramen was flavorful, but would have enjoyed it more if it included more veggies. My friend had the veggie burger which he said was delicious. Will definitely go back to try their other food options.“

“Awesome Neighborhood Bar, great for ages 30 -60. Women of those ages, could use more Single women. Men consist of hard working people, Blue Collar men. But if good looking women are there the men will arrive. Just a bar you can be comfortable at. Just my opinion.“

“I picked up my friend from the airport. He was arriving late. We needed to find a spot for some cold beers and some food. We arrived 1020 food service stopped at 10. The bartender, I forget her name, but she saw we were hungry, and offered us two hot beef sandwiches, with all the fixings, white horseradish, freshly grilled long hots, and that sharp provolone. Oh my goodness. So good!! Definitely recommend this place! Even the locals welcomed us. Even tho we are both local, definitely felt right at home.“

“Been there a few times now after discovering it a couple weeks ago and had a different bartender each time. Without fail, each bartender has been exceptionally welcoming and kind! Haven't gotten food but it does look good. Week nights seem to be quiet for a beer and very little wait on the pool tables. Went on a Friday and the place was buzzing, love to see it! Pool tables being $1.50/game is great compared to so many other places.
Can't recommend this place enough. This is my friends and I's new favorite spot.“

“I love their food and drinks! It is very happening not only on the weekends but also on weeknights. I recommend booking a reservation ahead of time. Often the bar area is booked with private events. I’ve been there when there was three events going on at a time.“

“Delicious as always. I went yesterday, with a friend and I got to say, your prices have gone through the roof! I mean doubled by $8-$10 per meal. We also got there at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, the dead of August, we wanted a hightop table. We were told that they were reserved and That people would be coming in within the next 45 minutes, and they didn’t wanna have to switch us again. By the time we left at 7:30 there were still 2 high tops available/empty. I’ll still be back because it’s a Broadway but those two things definitely bothered us“

“I come here fairly regularly with my running group. This a great neighborhood bar, the owner is awesome and super friendly. The food is also better than you'd expect for a dive bar, but it still has the dive bar charm. This is easily my favorite bar up the hill in Manayunk“

“Just a small local bar where the folks are friendly and bartenders are awesome. Shuffle board and pool tables with a great playlist on the jukebox! If you're not looking to dress up but just want to go grab a drink and relax, this is the place. The signs all over will have you in stitches . The restrooms are clean and beer is always cold!! “I been going to Mickey's for over 30 years. I took my Sean to the dentist across the street. So I wandered in and all the friends I made back in the day were there and remembered me. The bartender remembered the day my wife Patrice died, I held her in my arms til her last breath. Her will to live was so powerful that she pulled the whole oxygen tent into her mouth.When she finally let it out that was it.I told everyone that I was staying. Eventually people stated to leave but I wouldn't let go of my precious girlI couldn't accept it. Our Heather finally had to leaveI stayed and held her until she lost all her color and turned to ice. I realized she was gone. And I finally could stop cuddling her like she loved.I walked out of that hospital in a trance. I drove down to Mickey's and walked in but I couldn't talk. The guys knew something was wrong. They were giving me space . I got a vodka and went to the front door to just gaze at the sky. The bartender came over and asked if I was alright. Stood in the doorway with me.Almost instantly the sky opened up and the fiercest hail storm We ever seen just came outta nowhere and everyone was in awe, gaping at the intensity and I turned around and said Patrice just died and these are the tears of heaven ? ?They were stunned, they all loved her!!Anyone that knew her loved her. You could not help it. I was the luckiest man in the world ⚘️ and suddenly she was gone. Beem 15 years and I still grieve.I cry every time I have to talk about her.ICry when I think about her. So today in Mickey's I was overwhelmed with emotions when they welcomed me and remembered that Hailstorm . I cried uncontrollable. I am just trying to get this out my friends. Sometimes it helps“

“A home away from home for Commanders fans living in Philadelphia. Old Bay is featured heavily on the menu, as it should be. They easily accommodated our walk in party of 14 and put up with us playing "Hail To The Redskins" on the jukebox repeatedly.

“Had a great time. We went to see Magical Mystery Doors. Food was excellent and top k notch burgers. Our waitress went above and beyond ( sorry forgot name but petite woman curly hair). Our only complaint was they should set boundaries when there is live music. We had a table almost next to the stage but there was so many people that we had to stand ( not that that’s a problem) but there was ways they could’ve avoided this. All in all a solid place“

“Murphy’s Tavern is honestly one of my favorite local hangout spots! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by super friendly staff who always seem happy to see you. They’re quick with service, always checking in, and just genuinely nice people who make the whole place feel really welcoming.
The vibe here is super chill — great for grabbing a drink after work or spending a weekend night out with friends. They’ve got games outside AND inside which makes it even better when the weather’s nice. It’s so fun to just hang out, play a few rounds, and enjoy the atmosphere.
The crowd is always friendly too, and there’s this nice community feel to the place that you don’t get everywhere. Between the good drinks, beer draft selection, great people, and the outdoor setup, Murphy’s Tavern is the kind of spot you end up staying at longer than you planned.
If you’re looking for a laid-back place with great service and a fun vibe, this is definitely it!“
