“went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We sat right down, staff was friendly and attentive. Food came quickly and was a delicious homestyle breakfast - the kind we have been looking for in the area. The kid’s breakfast was perfect and great portions. Will definitely be returning!“

“We visited Jackson's last week. We were introduced to our server, the hostess informed us she was new. Boy, was she fantastic! The food was an A+. We had soup of the day and Salmon, which was cooked perfectly. Our server was Bonnie Lynn and we will ask to be set in her section next time. She never quit smiling.“

My husband loved his burger, I had the bisque, which was a large portion of warm buttery crab deliciousness, and both of us ate far too much of the poutine because we couldn't stop picking at it even though we were already full. “This locally owned business is normally busy and has a ton of large-screen TVs for various sporting events taking place at the same time. In addition, the large bar area is separated from the dining area with a large wall for families, especially those with children, to enjoy a slightly quieter space that conceals bar activity.“

My husband and I travel all over the country, mainly seeking out destination restaurants and let me tell you the food here is on par with that of the some most prestigious places across the country. My husband said he would rate the ribeye in his top five EVER! Other dishes are creative and delicious as well. Very cool atmosphere, makes you forget you are in Washington while you are dining. I will mention service could have been much more polished to match the food and ambiance. The majority of our question about the dishes where met with an “I’m not sure” from our server. Not really acceptable to not know the menu frontward and backwards when trying to deliver a fine dining experience. However the quality of the food and cocktails helped us over look the lack luster service. So ecstatic that this restaurant is in our neighborhood. Blows away ANYTHING Pittsburgh has to offer! “Stumbled upon Albero Verde, when looking for a fine dining restaurant for our Anniversary that wasn't $50-100/ plate and was more accessible than downtown Pittsburgh....Albero Verde, did NOT disappoint. The owner and Chef, Anthony Pupo, introduced himself while delivering a small, unique tasting of a wonton with a twist. This small but mighty restaurant provided top notch service, an intimate dining experience, good music, the option of BYOB, and the FOOD was too die for. The wonderful waitress suggested that we split the Wedge salad, and I appreciated the suggestion as 1 was plenty for 2 people...but when she brought it out, they had plated it on 2 seperate plates for us, taking away the hassle of dividing the dish ourselves at the table. We then had the Octopus and Beans and Greens appetizers.... both delicious. For our main course, we had the Fran and Fudge (named after the Chef's grandparents) a HEALTHY sized bone in porkchop with brie and goat cheese pierogi and the Scallop and Langoustine Spaghetti... both excellent! For dessert we had the Pomegranate Semifreddo, a refreshing frozen yogurt and a mini chocolate cannoli. We will absolutely be back! Thank you, Chef, for a lovely and tasty evening.“

“What a special place to celebrate our anniversary! Not only was the food delicious and reasonably priced, we had wonderful service. We were surprised by a handmade anniversary card from the staff and a complimentary dessert. The Juniper Grill is definitely on our list to return to!“

“Was here this past Saturday for a private gathering on the second floor. Did was very good, it was presented buffet style. Only negative I had was entrance was from the one side of the restaurant up a rather steep flight of stairs. I was curious what they did in the winter time to prevent people from slipping on the stairs and the rational of this as apposed to having a stairway from inside the restaurant. Other than that like I said the food was very good, full bar and the one waitress did a fantastic job.

Update, ate here last week for lunch and again tonight 9/19/24, I think this will be my new go to, closer to home and better menu and they are open till 11pm, the kitchen also closesat 11.“

“I had a great experience at this place! Even though they have been busy on Sunday evening, stuff did an amazing job. I was greeted with a smile by the host and my server was very friendly. “I love countryside but the last three times I stopped for items from the deli I was told the deli part was closed. One time was 5.15pm one was 5.20pm one was 5.30pm by the lady cashier as you walk in the door. Was told I could get hot food. I go there 2 to 3 times a week. Some people don't get off of work till 5 so being open till 6pm is fantastic. Is this a common practice. If so shouldn't it be posted what time the deli closes so we don't waste our time. I love this place and always buy more then just deli items but these three times I walk out the door with nothing.“

Food was delicious, service was friendly and warm. It’s a small menu with all the right choices plus a couple of daily specials. Lots of food for a great price. Excellent recommendations check back to see if needed anything additional and kept our eating area cleared off of useless dishes! Firebirds is a place to get a excellent meal! Prime rib was done to perfections and so was the steaks. Limited desserts but all were delicious and good in size, shareable. It is rather loud when mostly filled! Hard to hear people at your own table talking, the only reason I gave four stars for atmosphere.“

I reordered the breakfast special and asked for scrambled eggs and crispy home fries…the home fries were undercooked and the eggs was a cut up fried egg not a scrambled egg. The owner and staff were very attentive to the issues, and the owner was very upset that my meal was messed up twice. First meal comped, second meal discounted because I ate everything except the home fries and eggs.“
