“We had our wedding rehearsal dinner for twelve there last Friday evening. I had made the reservation with Doug, the very nice owner, a month prior after he graciously showed me the restaurant. At Doug's suggestion, I called ahead that day to have some appetizers ready when we arrived and they were there, hot, fresh and delicious when my guests arrived. The restaurant was very busy but the food and service were excellent. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and drinks they ordered. Farrah, our server, was friendly, pleasant and efficient. I would definitely recommend DeBlaze 131 and hope to return there soon.“

“We’ve been going to Elly’s since we moved here a few years back and it’s a true testament to we need more women owned businesses. The food is killer. The staff is fantastic. The atmosphere has something for everyone. Their food is moderately priced for good portions, and they have amazing specials - $5 happy hour menu and $10 rotating entree special. They just added some new food to the menu with turkey handhelds, weekend breakfast, and Lenten specials on Fridays. I’m ready to come back and try it all. Support local - eat Elly’s.“

“Where can I begin… the food was delicious! Friendly service and real conversation. My family and I are from Indiana visiting for the weekend and we wanted to try Grandma B’s. Went on Saturday morning and it was so impressive we said “We’re coming back tomorrow before we leave!” Only to return Sunday morning and they had standing room only! Sadly my party and I were just going to head back to Indiana, hungry when they called us back in and said”We’re going to make room for you all up top.” They proceeded to prepare another area upstairs to accommodate our party! Hands down best food in service in Pittsburgh!“

“We were at Thunderbird this past Sunday for a concert. We brought our 6 year old so she could see her favorite artist perform. While we were there, one of the security staff came over to us multiple times to make sure we were okay with our daughter, offered to take us to a different side of the venue that they made more room after the opener and other kids were there. My kiddo doesn’t like crowds, so we stayed in the back near the steps. Throughout the night, this gentleman came over to us several times just to check in. He also cleared the steps of people standing in front of us so our daughter could see better. I wish we got his name, but he was wonderful. None of us asked him to do that or asked for any special treatment, but the fact that he came over several times to just check in was incredibly nice and such a meaningful thing to do for us as a parent. There was also a girl security guard that had cigarette earrings that was very kind too. Great first experience overall.“

He patiently waited for us to decide on our drink order and went as far as to let us try the drink to see if we liked it, which we didn’t but he took it off our bill and then brought us a birthday card and wished us a happy birthday. The food was very delicious. But our main complaint comes down to Adam !! He was so fantastic and such a kind person . They truly have a rare gem in him as an employee! “Excellent place to have dinner. I ordered the corn and crab chowder. It was delicious and tasted like beef, corn, and crab chowder. I definitely would get that again. I also ordered the crab cakes with fries. Those guys were so yummy. It's a bit heavy on the salt but delicious. Shana was our waitress, and she kept us tended to with excellent service. We are staying at this hotel tonight, and I'm tempted to order that corn and crab chowder for a bedtime snack later because it was that good.“

Delicious doesn't even begin to describe the food. We had the bruschetta, French onion soup, side salad, French dip and stuffed hot pepper pasta.
All portions we exactly right (not to big not to small). Each dish tastes home cook and they space our the dishes so you don't feel rushed. I couldn't tell you the last time I enjoyed eating at a restaurant. We will definitely be back again.“
