“Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“

He made suggestions for me based on what I normally smoke and the cigar I chose was excellent. Most folks in there seemed to be regulars and we all had great conversation. In my experience, some cigar bars can be a bit pretentious or intimidating but this place is quite the opposite - it’s got a Cheers bar feel and everyone is down to earth. It’s not very often you sit down and chat with the owner of an establishment. Whether you’re a regular cigar smoker or a newbie, this bar is the place to be. The prices are phenomenal as well. “We ate here on a Saturday evening, with a reservation for two at 7.30pm. When we arrived the restaurant was quite full and we had to wait a little while before being seated. At that point, the service was very strong. We tried several dishes, including the salad, miso soup, sashimi plate, nigiri plate, and some hand rolls (mushroom, eel, scallop). We tried the tiramisu, chocolate pudding, and crème caramel for dessert. All in all, the food was tasty, the ambiance was relaxing and pleasant, and service was good. We had a very nice evening.“

The food menu is on the smaller side but had some nice choices; the five dollar grill cheese got the job done when we needed to refuel. Good spot to stop at before or after a show at Mr.Smalls.“

The food was really good and seemed to be fairly priced for the area, although I still feel the area is overpriced in general. The process of getting into the venue was easy and organized. The space was a beautifully quaint and well-used venue. The crowd for a sellout was the perfect size and it was not overcrowded. The acoustics of the venue were very excellent and the price of tickets was phenomenal. If there is a downside, it is the parking, however it is free in the evening, which beats $40-$50 at most other venues. I will certainly be back just for the experience. Amazing work!“

And overall, it definitely lived up to the hype.For $17, you get a huge fish sandwich and two generous sides. I went with Mac and Cheese and fries, and it was definitely a comfort food experience. The bar has very fair prices, and the staff run what is inherently a chaotic situation extremely well. Just get their early, or be ready to wait in line. Definitely worth a trip.“

Highly recommend trying the Calabrian pizza.“
“Came in for dinner on Sunday and the place was pretty busy. There was a Pens game on and several tvs were showing the game and the surround sound was playing the game, as well. The staff were super friendly and quick to take our order. Two women were both bartending and serving the tables, but we never had dirty dishes or empty glasses for long. The pepperoni rolls were our favorite. We also had a 16" pizza with extra cheese and half sausage & bacon. The pizza was ok! I'd say 7.5/10. The sauce had great flavor. My brother had the special chicken sandwich, parmesan style. He said the flavors were great, but he wasn't a huge fan of the bread. It wasn't toasted and after a few bites, it was totally soggy. There are two 1-person bathrooms and they were both clean, smelled like strawberries (lol), and were stocked with soap and paper towels.“
