“Prices are terrific, service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is what you'd expect out of a tavern, with a bonus from some potted plants.

The soup du jour, a spiced black bean soup, was out of this world. The fried pickles were the best fried pickle wedges I've ever had, with some terrific batter. The wings were good. The sauces were delicious, especially the spice golden BBQ sauce we had (golden goldenboy, I think). The only thing was they weren't crispy.

We'll definitely be back though.“

“Went in on a crowded, busy night, but the bartenders were immediately responsive and friendly still. They have a wide variety of drinks, and all four that two of us tried were really memorable and unique. For sure a place to return to and try the whole menu“

“Their Sunday brunch is amazing! Food is delicious and they offer a great menu. I recommend pairing it with some fun drinks and great friends. They also serve awesome drinks like mudslides, banana monkey, or dirty monkey, and some good fruity drinks, do not hesitate to name your favorite, or don't be afraid to try something new. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Servers are always great and pleasant from my experiences as well! Street parking only but it's free. It also may look like a "hole in the wall" before going inside but it's far from that. It's recently renovated and has a modern but classic bar feel and look. Just don't judge a book by it's cover on this place.

You also have to try those jello shots that Auntie makes which are very strong. My only GRIPE is that they use the state regulated pours so the bartenders really can't show you little love but at least they don't charge you an arm and a leg“

“Cash only joint! Smallish neighborhood gem. Looks unassuming from the outside but it's just perfect for the locals. No beers on draft and that's a little sad but the delicious food totally makes up for it. The bartenders/waitstaff are always friendly, attentive and funny. “I’m trying to return a piece of your memorabilia from 7/10-20/1899. My mother passed away in 2016 et last month we were cleaning out a curio cabinet of her antiques et found this. She probably got it from her father who probably dug it out of trash in the 40’s. We are only here till Saturday if you would like it back we would love to bring it by. Thanks“

Highland is a nice little hole in the wall that all the locals know and love. Not very big but bigger than it looks. It's only got one pool table and dart board, but we take turnes like good kids to use it. There a couple tables to sit and enjoy or sit at the bar and get funky with the bar. Lol it's a good time.“

“We went there one night with my husband’s cousins. It was a lot of fun! The drinks were great as well. I love the one with juice of a whole fresh orange and the one with fire( I forgot the name). We stayed until 2 in the morning and got tacos on Carson st. Felt exhausted the next day lol.“

“We've been here at least 7 times, and every time has been a great experience. When friends are visiting, this is our go-to bar because the atmosphere is easygoing, the drinks are fantastic, and the service is great. The bartender Kris is awesome, she's so sweet and knowledgeable.
The spring mead and sorbet are our favorites -- the sorbet is nice to share with folks so you don't feel bad about the sugar haha. We've tried the lemon and the ginger sorbets!“

“A little bit of a belated review, but my husband and I went in November 2023 for our wedding anniversary. Our table had the cutest happy anniversary sign, the waiter we had was beyond sweet. The food was absolutely delicious and the speak easy was awesome. I love everything vintage and it was perfect. We found our new anniversary spot.“
