“What a special place to celebrate our anniversary! Not only was the food delicious and reasonably priced, we had wonderful service. We were surprised by a handmade anniversary card from the staff and a complimentary dessert. The Juniper Grill is definitely on our list to return to!“

“I have never eaten in restaurant at this location, so I can't speak to that experience, but as far as take out it is usually a decent experience. Carside pickup usually goes smoothly, although the text link next works so you have to call to let them know you arrive. The employees are usually very friendly when they bring it out. Picking up inside the restaurant is a hassle, as the pickup location is in a weird spot and when you stand there all of the employees ignore you so it takes forever to get your food. As far as the food goes it's almost always enjoyable, although sometimes we find the steaks are inedible due to tendons, and they often change the number of chicken tenders they put on the mac and cheese with honey pepper tenders, sometimes there's more than others. They frequently neglect to give me the extra sauces that I pay for, which is annoying. Still the best Applebee's in the area though.“

I will mention service could have been much more polished to match the food and ambiance. The majority of our question about the dishes where met with an “I’m not sure” from our server. Not really acceptable to not know the menu frontward and backwards when trying to deliver a fine dining experience. However the quality of the food and cocktails helped us over look the lack luster service. So ecstatic that this restaurant is in our neighborhood. Blows away ANYTHING Pittsburgh has to offer! We took a tiramisu to go, it was so good and definitely enough for TWO.

“We visited Jackson's last week. We were introduced to our server, the hostess informed us she was new. Boy, was she fantastic! The food was an A+. We had soup of the day and Salmon, which was cooked perfectly. Our server was Bonnie Lynn and we will ask to be set in her section next time. She never quit smiling.“

“Was here this past Saturday for a private gathering on the second floor. Did was very good, it was presented buffet style. Only negative I had was entrance was from the one side of the restaurant up a rather steep flight of stairs. I was curious what they did in the winter time to prevent people from slipping on the stairs and the rational of this as apposed to having a stairway from inside the restaurant. Other than that like I said the food was very good, full bar and the one waitress did a fantastic job.

Update, ate here last week for lunch and again tonight 9/19/24, I think this will be my new go to, closer to home and better menu and they are open till 11pm, the kitchen also closesat 11.“

“This was our first time here and the breakfast/lunch bar was open. it was phenominal. great quality of food, tons of choices in buffet style containers to keep it hot. Everything from made to order omlettes, waffles, sausage, salad, pot roast, mashed potatoes, tender breakfast potatoes. my husband said it was the best omlette he has ever had. he had the Irish Omlette. Great staff. This was a huge win. very comfortable seating. The chef was also amazing“

“We were in the hotel for a school graduation event in the meeting space, figured we'd grab dinner on site to make it easy. The menu was a simple one page affair, printed paper so it's nice that it changes often I guess. We had a flatbread that the girls loved and I had a smokehouse chicken salad with a BBQ vinaigrette dressing that was awesome.I can't rave about the atmosphere as it is simply an aged hotel, pretty vanilla. The service and value, however, were great and you shouldn't hesitate to stop by.

Kid-friendliness: We didn't see any choices that were kid-specific, but before we asked our server, he suggested chicken strips and fries, lol. Worked out great.“

“Loved this place! I have been wanting to stay at the property for quite sometime due to my commute. I decided to check out the Restaurant & Bar and was greeted with such lovely staff. “We dined here for the first time and what a local gem! My family and I had a fantastic breakfast in this restaurant. Our server was new and great! The menu is quite extensive and we all got different Breakfast choices, and each one was delicious! We will definitely return and I would highly recommend Ma and Pop’s Country Kitchen. I didn’t take any photos, but my personal favorite was the mixed grill. They are very generous serving and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Portion sizes are solid and entree choices cover everything for all palates. Only thing is we find appetizer choices limiting and a bit pricey. Need some more variety and price points.“
