Nutella banana Crepe and iced mocha were delicious!!
I used to live in Carlisle a decade ago. I recently contacted Helena’s with a special order and request for a friend that still lives in the area. Matt and the staff went above and beyond to assist me with an order of macarons for my friend. I cannot say enough great things about their customer service, generosity, and kindness. And you will not be disappointed with the food and treats!
Helena’s is an amazing place!
First, the owner and the people who work there are always SO NICE and helpful! I’ve never had a bad experience with someone there.
AND I’m a teacher and we organize “class dinners” where students can try new foods at different restaurants. Helena’s usually closed at 6pm the day we wanted to go (desired time was 5:30-7pm) and the owner stayed open for us!!! Made an exception for us for that night. Super nice!!!

Helena's Chocolate Café and Crêperie is a charming spot in the heart of town that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming, taking the time to chat and make menu suggestions. The crepes are a highlight, with delicious fillings such as banana and Nutella, and the portions are generous. The café also serves a variety of sweet treats, including the popular mocha macaron. Inside, there are a mix of modern and rustic elements, with some unique touches like local artist paintings on the wall. The café is wheelchair accessible and offers gluten-free options, such as a smoked salmon crepe, with staff careful to distinguish between gluten-free and regular choices. Prices are reasonable, making it a good spot to relax and enjoy a meal or snack. Visitors often praise the atmosphere, good food, and the quiet, cozy environment, perfect for a breakfast or a quiet afternoon break. The café is also known for its delicious breakfast options like bacon, egg, and gruyère on a sweet roll.
