“Walking into the old post office feels like stepping back in time. The building is beautifully renovated, with charming side rooms that add to the cozy atmosphere. Everything is made fresh, and the coffee was absolutely amazing. Our breakfast sandwiches were delicious—hot, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We loved how dog-friendly it was, making it easy to pop in and out with your pup. The whole place has a warm, family-friendly vibe. Truly a hidden gem right in the heart of Carnegie!“

“If you like a hometown, locally owned restaurant feel, this is a great place to visit. It has a bit of a Rustic / Grandma's kitchen vibe. Food is excellent! Omelettes are in my opinion stellar, with the proper amount of all ingredients. Bacon is awesome, thin and crispy, just how I like it! Pancakes are also excellent and super tasty. Overeasy eggs are also cooked perfectly. Carry and Barb are 2 of the best breakfast chefs I have had out, period.. As of 2023 I'm 50 years old so have had breakfast a ton of places locally and nationally. I live about 3 miles away from the restaurant location so since I discovered it I try to stop once or twice a week. Definitely one of Pittsburgh's hidden local neighborhood gems. It is one of those small local places where if you know how good it is, you KNOW, and remember....“

“Was here this past Saturday for a private gathering on the second floor. Did was very good, it was presented buffet style. Only negative I had was entrance was from the one side of the restaurant up a rather steep flight of stairs. I was curious what they did in the winter time to prevent people from slipping on the stairs and the rational of this as apposed to having a stairway from inside the restaurant. Other than that like I said the food was very good, full bar and the one waitress did a fantastic job.

Update, ate here last week for lunch and again tonight 9/19/24, I think this will be my new go to, closer to home and better menu and they are open till 11pm, the kitchen also closesat 11.“

“I’m actually mad at myself for discovering this place so late. I have to say this is probably going to become my number one spot to work from. The reasons are pretty clear.
Space is extremely large, and there are multiple types of seating where you can work solo or with a group. There is free Wi-Fi as well as plug points.
The coffee is delicious and they have Vietnamese coffee, which is one of my favourites.
The banh-mi was delicious and although not entirely traditional, it was extremely tasty.
Everyone was becoming and nice. Will be back again for sure.“

“I have tried SO MANY crepe places in Pittsburgh and around the world, but for some reason I always seem to be comparing them to this place!

The crepes are thin and not too stuffed with fillings, so they feel light and authentic. Nothing is too overly sweet and the ingredients have a very fresh quality to them.

It’s a small place, so I wouldn’t recommend a large group to eat there, but it’s perfect for going with one or two people for brunch.“

“This is a lovely little takeout and eatery - and what is not to like for a place named after the wonderful, laughing Australian Bird - The Kookaburra!! I go whenever I am at the National Aviary. “This is just a cafe, but they had a good selection of food. Hot soup was available, but we opted for sandwiches and salad which were very fresh and plenty enough for us to enjoy for lunch! I opted for a peanut butter and jelly, and I must say I am not a fan of marmalade as the jelly; I was hoping for the more traditional grape or strawberry. I do think they should label what kind of jelly is in the sandwich, but the bread was very fresh, thick, and tasty - more like a home baked bread than store-bought loaf. Prices were reasonable for a city museum, and the staff was super friendly and nice. The seating in the lobby of the museum was abundant the day we were there; it was a pleasant place to have lunch before touring the museum. It was also clean! I don't think I'd make a special trip here just for lunch, but it's a great option if you are going to be visiting the Museum.“

“A very nice little bubble tea shop on Centre Ave. The atmosphere is quite good and the company’s entire branding just has a feel good feel to it. They also have a shop in Ross Park Mall. I tried out their classic brown sugar milk tea as well as a milk chocolate mocha donut.

To be honest, the brown sugar boba was pretty average. There wasn’t anything too special about it. Nice and light drink, not crazy sweet, which was nice. Not much boba in it though. Price was okay. They had a donut and drink combo for a decent price.

The real star of this snack break was the mochi donut. It’s got a very cool, chewy texture to it. The milk chocolate on top really added a lovely sweet touch to it. I would even definitely recommend trying one.

All in all, a cute little boba shop. Decent drinks, but the mochi donuts are what are really unique and tasty.

“We have been experiencing a multi-day power outage, and I wanted to say that the staff in this Panera have been exceptional. It is much busier than usual due to many people (including me) trying to work, and they have been very accommodating and kind. I used to work at a different Panera location and was very impressed with the staff here.“
