“I would love to give this restaurant 10+ stars. Never have I had such delicious food. Every mouthful of every dish was pure heaven! This was a birthday treat for my friend. We shared 6 small plates. I don't know which was THE best one. We started with drinks. He had the King Vidi and I the Shadowboxin. Both were expertly made. We then proceeded to enjoy Roasted oysters,Satsuma Mandarin salad, Tagliatelle, Foie Gras, Grilled Prawns and Grilled Broccoli. Every dish was spectacular and seasoned well. The accompanying sauces were smooth and velvety. We ended sharing a Chocolate Caramel Tart. My only issue was being seated next to the entrance where it was drafty whenever a new customer entered. I want to come back and try another selection of small plates. What a wonderful experience

“My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience this weekend at The Board and Brew! It was the first time visiting for both of us. The space was cozy and comfy and filled with a lot of natural light. The wait was fairly short, and they have a wonderful library of games (organized helpfully by type), fantastic food & drinks (the maitake sandwich, pomegranate rose lassi, and pot of oolong tea were all *chef's kiss*), and very friendly and kind staff (shout out to our wonderful server Ry)! There was a $6 fee to play per person, but it was for unlimited time, which felt very reasonable. We're already looking forward to our next visit and couldn't recommend this spot more!“

“Really solid brewery. We came here for a midday drink to do some work on a Sunday and it was super quiet. The space itself isn't huge but there are plenty of tables and table options. Bathroom area is quite large. The draft menu is fine, always on the hunt for IPAs and the 6 feet below was much better than the hazy IPA (the latter of which I didn't care for). Service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Easy parking nearby and overall a very accessible experience. We didn't order food but those that did smelled tasty. I don't know that I would specifically come back for the beer but if you're looking for a place to hang out it's definitely a great option.“

Finally stopped in for lunch and got a hot beef & cheese (sharp provolone). While I love the modern day sandwich shops with crazy creative combinations, nothing beats a high quality yet simple sandwich like this. Fresh meat, roll, everything about it hit the spot. Added a bag of chips for $1 (sandwich was $15). My friend got the turkey special and loved it as well.

“The Philly Cheesesteak I ordered here is probably the best I’ve ever had in this city. At first I thought maybe it was just a one off, but I stopped here a few times to grab a Philly Cheesesteak and it was still as good as the first time I’ve stopped here. Definitely better than Uncle Gus’ Steaks in Reading Terminal Market.

My only regret is coming here and discovering that nobody outside of Philadelphia can make a good Cheesesteak!“

“We had our Dad’s 70th birthday party in the room downstairs last weekend, and everything worked out so well! Kristina was wonderful with answering all of my questions (I had a LOT, lol), and the party went off without a hitch! They even managed to put a slideshow of pictures up on one of the TV’s for everyone to view, which I very much appreciated. The food was great, the room was clean and comfortable, and Shannon, our bartender, was amazing! Highly recommend booking the space if you’re looking to hold a party!“

“This is a really nice place. It's a trendy youngish crowd. It has a large bar on the first floor and a pool table on the second floor. The music is awesome and the vibe is friendly and relaxed. A friend of mine recommended it last evening so we came over and loved it immediately. We returned again tonight. It's a great Bar in the Center City area. It's a perfect place to bring your date. “I attended a recreational employee dinner hosted by my boss to lift morale. Most of us never heard of this bar/restaurant. I was intrigued since our company is a high end restaurant in Chestnut Hill. If the owner and former head chef picked it, it must be good, right? HELLZ YEAH!!!!!! The drinks were potent and yummy. The mac & cheese with brisket was sublime!!!!! The grand entrance of the 6ft (?) cheesesteak with fresh cut sweet potato waffle fries were spectacular. SPARKLERS!!!!! The garlic parmesan wings were super. The nachos were on point, light & crips, not stale or greasy. My ONLY disappointment which was shared with another friend at the party were the baby back ribs. We loved the sauce- just right, not too spicy/hot with tangy gooey yummyliciousness. However the ribs themselves were MOSTLY BONE. It was basically use licking the sauce and the few bits of meat off the top. It was hard to even find any separation to cut it to get the meat in between. I wish they offered SPARE RIBS which usually have more tender, juicy meat on the bone. Cause I LOOKED at the menu before ordering the baby backs. Hell, they coulda just put BBQ sauce on the brisket and I would have had a foodgasm. Maybe I'll do that next time on my own. That said, I will definitely go there again but I will never order the ribs. There are so many other perfect food offerings to keep me happy that I ain't mad, LOL. Also, the TVs provided viewer ankles for everyone regardless of where they sat. And the bar stools were COMFORTABLE too. Our waitress was attentive and professional but not aloof. The bartenders helped us out too with friendly responses. I apologize because I forget their names. After all, I was so snookered from the booze, I am happy that I still remembered to give this review. It's 3 days later and I am still thinking about the dinner. Give it a try! Many of us took SEPTA, its easy to get to from bus, subway, regional rail and cost less to PARK in Center City. That said, SEPTA getting ready to go on strike so...... don't care how you get to Tradesman, just TRY IT OUT!!!!!!!!!“
