“First we heard about it from friends, than we watched the Netflix documentary and later we decided to check it out and we were surprised by been hosted by chef Cristina!! No reservations and no waiting line when we got there on a Sunday for lunch.
We had the best experience in a long time and the lamb tacos were amazing. Perfect food, ambience and great service. Price very reasonable.“

“We went for dinner around 5pm today with a group of 7 and everything was fantastic!!! The food was so fresh and flavorful. You can definitely tell they put love into their food and pride themselves on great presentation. BYOB with great mixers and smoothies. The service was very attentive and friendly. “I really enjoyed my visit to El Purepecha and would definitely make a return visit. The Birria tacos were crispy and had the right amount of filling; the cheese pull was amazing! The consomé had lots of flavor and complimented the tacos very well. The slightly tart and refreshing mango mojito was a perfect compliment to the tacos. The churros were cooked perfectly with a crispy exterior and a slight chew in the center.“

“This is my new favorite place. Everything I've tried has been amazing. Birria pizza, beef and chicken birria tacos, fish tacos, chips, guacamole, everything! The loaded steak nachos are to die for! Even my big eater could only eat 2 tacos so the food really does last days.“

“I could not ask for a better place to get Mexican bowls than that of California Tortilla. The server who made my bowl was very attentive. She gave me extra pico de gallo for my chips, which mind you was the best I go to. It's definitely a go-to if you're shopping and you want to stop for food.“

There was such a great portion of meat on each taco I was only able to eat 3 of 4. The ability to customize my taco was wonderful! Ask for extra napkins + limes. I will be returning often here for sure. Plus, they cater! And there are even delivery options. Great local, neighborhood spot! 5 out of 5!“

“After having Taco Taco, I will never return to Chipotle ever again. Taco Taco is so fast, they have the friendliest staff and seriously serve the best burritos in West Philly. This has become a staple to many of my Saturday nights and I cannot recommend Taco Taco enough to those in the area. I get the al pastor every time!“
