“We found this place last year on our trip to Amish Country. It's our go to breakfast place whenever in town now. We go for breakfast and the food is sooo fresh. Everyone who worked there was so nice. Make sure to stop here if in town“

“We were there for brunch yesterday to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday. The envious beautiful, the staff was amazing, everyone was so friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious. We will be back again.“

“What a great find. From start to finish everything was terrific. We asked the hostess when were seated what was good as we’d never been there. Her answer was everything. She was entirely right. From the delicious pickled veggies and bread with compound butter to the multi greens salad, just over the top good. I had the double burger, cooked exactly to my request. Coupled with their special app of bacon wrapped asparagus. My wife had sautéed beef tips which was also cooked and seasoned perfectly. This was a meal that far surpassed our expectations in just how delicious everything was. Our lovely server, Lexi, also was a pleasure. We told the owner who stopped to ask how everything was that he and his staff were great and how much we enjoyed our dinner. If you’re in the Lancaster, PA area for a show or sightseeing put the Olde Mill Restaurant in Intercourse PA in the the gps. You’ll be glad you did. Merry & Doug Braun“

“We enjoyed dinner for the first time here. The atmosphere is so fun. You eat dinner inside a real train! They also have outside seating. We enjoyed watching the Strasburg railroad train go by, pet the animals (outside at the barn), amazing staff, fun gift shop and absolutely incredible food! We have not had such an incredible meal in a long time at a restaurant.“

“The dining experience is designed for groups of 20 or more and requires advance reservations. Guests are seated at long communal tables and served a variety of Pennsylvania Dutch dishes, including fried chicken, baked ham, meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, brown buttered noodles, and green beans. Meals begin with rolls and coleslaw and conclude with two in-house-made desserts. 
The restaurant operates on a fixed menu basis, offering an “Amish Family-Style Menu” from January to October and a “Holiday Feast Menu” in November and December. Beverages such as iced tea, lemonade, water, coffee, and hot tea are included. 
For those not part of a large group, the adjacent Smokehouse BBQ & Brews offers a more casual dining option with a menu featuring smoked meats, local craft beers, and traditional Lancaster County favorites. 
Overall, Plain & Fancy Farm Restaurant provides a unique opportunity to experience Amish-style communal dining in a setting that reflects the cultural heritage of Lancaster County.“

“These pretzels were super delicious! We tried the plain, whole wheat, garlic, and cinnamon crunch along with the sweet mustard and cheese sauce. My favorite was the plain, we didn’t even need any dipping sauce because the taste and softness was simply amazing!“
“While I like most of Stoltzfus’s items, I’ve been disappointed in their chicken salad. It used to be a staple in our home but seems like they’ve changed the recipe. It’s now so runny with mayo (or whatever they use) that it plops right off our sandwiches. They’ve also seem to cut back on the celery which added a nice contrasting crunch. Please bring back the old recipe.“

“I’ve come here throughout my entire childhood. Whenever I would visit my parents as an adult, I’d stop by even just for an ice cream cone! Nowadays I enjoy taking my son and can’t wait for warmer days so we can take a stroll down to the Drive-In for some ice cream and fun!! Love seeing the ducks as well.“

“We visited this restaurant as we were passing through town. Our meal was good and we had a lovely server. She was attentive and pleasant. The food did take a bit of time to come out. This would not stop me from trying this restaurant and it may not be their common practice. It was a non-issue for us.“

“We were seated right away, our server Jack came over and introduced himself and asked us what we would like to drink and unfortunately my phone rang and he told my husband he’ll come back for my order. He was absolutely wonderful, has an awesome personality and just made our night and we will definitely come back as long as we have Jack as our server or someone just like home! “Just had dinner at Bird-in-Hand Restaurant- the smorgasbord was amazing! So many choices! Everything was hot and delicious. The cheeseburger soup was very good! The homemade rolls- very yummy! Shrimp, ribs, mashed potatoes! Salad! I even had a mango slushy! Definitely the place to eat. Can’t wait to come back and try breakfast! Oh and dessert! Wow! Pies, puddings, amazing. Very Lancaster County authentic food! Loved it!“
