Famous 4th Street came through, and then some. The GM, Kevin, went out of his way to deliver a bag of goods large enough to feed a small army. Matzoh balls the size of a doggo’s skull. Kugel slices the size of a phone book. The kind of Jewish deli generosity that makes you want to write a google review from your deathbed. We really appreciate the care Kevin put into making sure we were fed and happy. Thank you!!“

“A very cool one stop shop in the neighborhood. We dropped in for a couple of deli breakfast sandwiches and we’re not disappointed. We both created our own sandwiches inspired by some of their preselected options while adding our own touch. The flavors were great, the bagels were good quality, and we saved a part of one to bring with us just so we can have it again. Great selection of snacks and drinks. Looks like they have a cafe but we did not check that out. It smelt very good though! Stop in if you are in the area!

Note you have to take your ticket from the machine you order on to the cashier our front, then take it with you back to the deli when they call your number. The cashier will give you a stamp to show you paid.“

Had to come back for a specialist appointment yesterday, and asked friends, where can I get a good hoagie in Newtown Square. A Cut Above Deli was the ONLY recommendation, and they were 100% right! The hoagie was ready on time, wrapped in four sheets of paper, and was solid, hefty. The countermen were friendly and genuine. $15 for a "regular" seemed steep, but I was judging them by the standards of lesser sandwiches; once I opened it and got a bite, I realized it was a fair price. I just had the other half for breakfast, and it's gonna be a good day! Full marks, A Cut Above!“

“I work down the street, so I come here for lunch very regularly. At this point, I've tried every sandwich and my favorites are the Cuban Midnight, Tuna Salad (with provolone, sweet peppers, salt, pepper, oregano), Reuben, and the Caribbean sandwich (same toppings as tuna salad). Always a good, fun atmosphere. I would recommend going around 11:30 or after 12:30 on days when there are a lot of people at the aquarium, because it gets very busy between those times.“

“Update: I came back a second time and got one of their Aracini balls with eggplant. All I can say is WOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!! It was to die for. Literally so amazing with the homemade tomato sauce they give you on the side. I heated it up in the air fryer when I got home and it was perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. I am gonna be craving it like no other until I can get my hands on one again. I still gotta come back for the chicken meatballs!!!!

Original: I saw this place on instagram reel's and after 5 years of living in Philly I wish I would've found it sooner. I saw a video about their Reaper sandwich which comes with longhot mayo, chicken cutlet, hot soppressata, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. I have been dying to try and it did not disappoint. I had to get it without the soppressata because I don't eat pork. This sandwich was one of the best I've ever had in my life and not to mention it was ginormous. It wasn't very spicy at all but I do have a high spice tolerance so that could be part of the problem on top of not including the hot soppressata. The bread was absolutely fantastic and the chicken cutlet was perfect. I know for sure I will be back again in the future. I saw on instagram they also sell chicken longhot meatballs that I want to try soooo badly. On top of my great sandwich, the staff was also very welcoming and friendly.“

Both the owners are very kind! The wife took my order and she was sweet and helpful. They have extremely generous portions. I ate half of a 7 inch hoagie and was full. They really stuff them! I got a turkey and I got an Italian for a friend, both were great! Nice they include a small bag of chips for free as well. Will for sure be back.“

“I stopped in the evening of this review (4/15/26) for a quick bite to eat. I ordered a pizza steak with provolone cheese, a side of waffle fries and got a bottle of lemonade all for under$20.00. The steak, cheese and sauce were mixed together perfectly for my sandwich, the fries had a really good crunch to them as well. Everything came out hot and in only a few minutes as they weren't busy. I would definitely recommend Frank's to others and I will also order from them again.“
