“We just moved but I'm originally from Jersey and came to Philly often. I e had Jim's, Pat's and Geno's and several others but wanted something closer to home in Fishtown. this place is great. The cheesesteak was perfect and the mushroom had a nice marinated taste. The fries were good and the cheese just was great on them. The staff was fast and really nice. I think we found our local cheesesteak place!“

Don’t get me wrong, it was good but the overpowering of the salt kind of ruined it but i still ate it. Last is the slice of pizza. “Excellent pizza from a relative newcomer in the area (opened within the last year or so) as the pizza had a New York style thin crust, great tasting sauce, and multiple cheeses (consistent quality and taste all three times I have ordered from them). I have tried many pizza shops in Philly, and this is a top pizza spot in the suburbs (top 5, including downtown Philly pizza spots). Also, the pizza heats up well in an air fryer or oven the next day, as some pizzas don't warm up well from my experience. Honestly, I tried it based on Google reviews and reading from the website it's a family business. The interior is a throwback to the 90s/2000s with family pictures and old-school booths. The service was quick and efficient, with no issues at all. Parking was free and open, but I came at dinner time, so there was less parking in the front. I can only knock them out for not having too many vegetarian options like eggplant-based dishes, but I can understand they want to focus on a smaller menu and be the best at it. Overall, it is a fantastic place, and the food was spot on. I highly recommend it a shot for your next pizza craving!“

“There was a group of 7 women and we had just left the Katt Williams Comedy Show heading back to Maryland, so most of us wanted just a little something to hold us over and since it was late night. So my Cuz saw pizzeria in the name and said let's stop there. The rest is 'Delicious History' thank you Lil' Trent and the 2 other gentleman that were cooking. The group ordered pizza, fries, steak subs, and chicken subs, but they also had a salmon sub. I will be scheduling a drive up to Philly soon just to try that salmon sub; which will be a difficult choice considering my chicken cheese sub was the best I've ever had in my 57 yrs. We all was very very pleased with everything we ordered. There was a wait even that late at night, but a well worth it wait. We actually was 1 of 3 of the last customers that were there waiting and we closed the restaurant down with a personal shot out to Lil' Trent as he locked up. Steve fried the fries to perfection and they were lightly salted and crispy, just how I like them.Towards the end of my meal, I met Jack, another chef, who kindly asked me how I was doing, let me know of the incoming rainstorm, then got right to work building more of the famous Costa Deli hoagies for several online orders. The kitchen hummed along and David, the owner, humbly stepped in to assist the line with anything they needed. I really admired, respected, and appreciated Dave's teamwork and care for his staff.To end my lovely time at Costa Deli, I spoke at length with Dave about how contemporary society has drifted away from the mom-n-pop style restaurants and stores and towards corporate consumption of big name stores. We discussed how much we appreciated the sense of community provided by and created through corner stores in small towns just like Costa Deli. “On the recommendation of a Philly native, I went to a place called Steve’s Prince of Steaks in North Philly. The moment I walked in I was hit with a intoxicating aroma. The setting was fairly unremarkable, with stainless steele walls and painted cement floor, along with a row of barstools and a small counter, perfect for late night and early morning bar closers or the lunch crowd from the Pepsi bottling plant across the street! I sat down to eat my meal that consisted of a traditional Philly cheesesteak with fried onions cheese whiz and steak. The onions were so flavourful and the cheese whiz was almost addictive, I nearly finished it in one bite. I left this place thinking that I now know why they call it prince of steak and winner of a Guinness Book World Records winner. The beef one was chipotle and it was quite delicious but very spicy. So if you a looking for a little kick I would highly recommmend it. We also had old bay fries which had the potential to be good but they were so dang salty. They come with cheese whiz, but it doesn't help how salty they are. Lastly we got a cheese pizza. That was mid at best. Almost no cheese on it and a mediocre sauce. The place does have seating in the back despite how it looks, it just ordering was slightly confusing because they had a sign over a tablet that said order here but you really should order at the countertop because the tablet doesn't have all the options of things you could order like drinks or slices. Overall though a really good place to grab a bite, excellent staff and good food!“

“Ordered a chicken pizza steak and fries. The fries were crispy and tasty though a little too salty. I had high hopes for the sandwich but it fell short for me. All of the sauce was on top of, not in, the sandwich and I didn't taste any cheese. They put a piece of clear wrap over the top which made the entire sandwich soak up the sauce causing the whole roll to be soggy. They also didn't cut it, which would have helped since it was being shared.“

There’s a handful of places that come close spread out in Philly’s burbs and this is one of them.
