“I thought I reviewed this place a few years back when I first visited, but I guess not- so here we go. Lavery is quality run brewpub, with some really tasty beers on tap that span the gap between many different styles and flavors. On my most recent trip with my wife, I got a six beer flight to sample, and was impressed by all the chosen offerings, especially the coconut-laden Divine Intervention and the uniquely refreshing lime and cucumber and sea salt sour.

The place itself is kind of on the darker side and is accented with a lot of wood and wood tones, which is just the rathskeller type of vibe that you want from a classic brewpub experience. There is also a nice patio area if you prefer a lighter experience during nice weather. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food (which we tried on the last outing there) is tasty and compliments the drinks well. Overall, it's definitely a worthwhile stop if in the Erie area and looking for a nice beer in an enjoyable atmosphere.“

“We visited The Double Dipper in Harborcreek, PA for the first time tonight as a late birthday treat for our son — and wow, what a gem! We arrived about a half hour before closing, but you never would have known it from the warm smiles and quick, friendly service we received. Between us, we tried a milkshake, pina colada slushy, slice of s’mores ice cream pie, two ice cream sandwiches, and a baby soft serve cone. The s’mores pie was out of this world. It was rich, decadent, and something I’ve never seen offered anywhere else locally. The milkshake was creamy perfection, and the slushy was tropical bliss in a cup. The only tiny miss was the ice cream sandwiches, which had a slight freezer-burn taste, but honestly, it didn’t even come close to overshadowing how fantastic everything else was. The shop itself was immaculate. The tables were spotless, not a crumb or spill in sight, and no trash anywhere on the ground. The twinkle lights along the fence created such a calm, inviting glow, and the beautiful hanging flowers made the space feel so charming. My favorite detail? The little peekaboo window in the fence where my son got to watch a train pass by. He LOVES trains, so that was pure magic for him! Delicious treats, top-notch service, beautiful atmosphere, and unbeatable prices for our area. We’re from Millcreek, but will definitely drive across town just to come visit. We can't wait!“

“This is a great coffee shop in many ways! The owner is very nice, as are the staff. My wife and I love going there to relax while having our coffee. They have interesting art work and events from time to time as well. When it comes to the coffee, I typically get a hot coffee with vanilla flavor and add my own cream, but I've also had their lattes, and they are the ONLY coffee I have ever enjoyed just black. I believe the regular blend is what I had and it is light and smooth (in my opinion). I highly recommend them!“

“First off this place is neat. Being run inside an old train station is just something you don’t see and makes it so much “warmer” inside. We had some of the craft sodas which were good, and for food we had the fried pierogis, The Pittsburger and The Train Wreck. The pierogis were good, the burger was really good, but the Train Wreck was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’d drive 500 miles to eat this sandwich again. The fries were really good and all off us were stuffed. If I ever come through Erie again this is the first place I’m stopping.“

“This place is awesome! I stopped for lunch on my last day in Erie while on a work trip. Got the Reuben and chicken tortilla soup - both amazing. One of the best Reuben’s I’ve ever had. The iPA is also good! I would definitely recommend going here… wish I went sooner!!!“

“unfortunately, Sara's keeps on disappointing me. I loved this place. the oversimplified menu and change in ingredients leaves little to be desired. my visit today left me with an incorrect order. and even though it was their mistake, I had to go back to the register outside to reorder and pay again. all while holding my other order and 2 little kids. after I told the worker that this was a horrible way to treat a customer, she smirked and told me very sarcastically to have a good day. my gift card couldn't be honored because they don't have the scanners anymore, and my food had everything that I didnt want on it. do better.“

“After reading some of the reviews my husband and I were kind of reluctant to go there for dinner but we had 2 hungry little ones with us so we figured we would try it out. From the minute we walked and told us in to the minute we left, everything was amazing! Our server greeted us instantly and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We gave her our order, which was a lot, and she didn't even write it down and got everything right.. The food was so good, everything was cooked perfectly.. It looked like the server was the only person working but she was still very attentive to not only my family, also the other custIomers and families. I believe her name was Charise. That's what it said on our bill. Regardless, that woman deserves recognition for all the hard work I witnessed her doing.“

“My husband and I took our 3 small children in while passing through the area. The staff were so friendly, and helped us setup a game on the little bowling lanes that our little ones could enjoy. The building itself was well kept and clean. They have small bowling lanes you can purchase time on that kept our family entertained until our food arrived (rather quickly I might add). My husband and I both got the Caesar salad and it was amazing! My kiddos that can generally be a bit picky enjoyed their chicken tenders and Mac and cheese. We had an all around good experience here! Definitely recommend❤️“
